One thing that irks me going through the original series is how much NONE of the characters act like they're 10. Gary can drive. Ash does too, and he even pilots a Yacht. Misty competes in a beauty contest were literally every other contestant is an adult woman (also James in drag). Ash and Misty have a romance subplot that makes absolutely no sense if they're children. I just feels like the writers wanted to make them young teenagers, honestly.
@@SpeedBoostTorchic then why not just MAKE them ten? Kids often want to imitate teenagers, anyway, so why not give teens magical creatures that anyone can use?
The context of this dub quote is pretty odd as the girls referred him by sir which made brock explain that he presumes they will treat him as a old man, in the Japanese original they just say old man in the phrase said in Japanese which is where the dub quote comes in for the Japanese version too... also this episode was when the effect censorships went into full force spending all that time removing all backgrounds but let brocks one minorly slip and Arbok and Weezings one fully slipped xD
