  • A variation of a Snail Trail Storm at Sea Quilt. I altered the snail trail block to an S trail or snake trail. I will do a do-over to this quilt with some slight modifications. I think I might use my tri recs ruler instead of snowballing.

I washed this quilt today and now the white is light blue.😢

Just a suggestion... use color catchers in the first wash when washing reds and blues especially. I use them, and they have kept my whites from picking up other colors. Thanks for sharing!

@leorajs I did, I used 2 of the. That never happened to me when using polycotton fabric.

@@andraebanks The only other thing I can think of is maybe the detergent or water issues... sorry you are having this problem. That quilt is beautiful by the way.

Had to smile... your machine is singing while you quilt. Very nice design!

I appreciate how you share details about your journey and process with choosing fabric, not trimming, changing designs etc. That's how we learn. Your quilting is beautiful.

This is a really complicated quilt design, I’m very impressed with your finish!! Great job, I’ve always loved a Snail Trail quilt, it’s on my bucket list of quilts to make. Yours and all your variations are all beautiful!!

I'm willing to make the quilt top but there is a zero chance I would attempt the free hand stitch on a longarm (if I even had one lol). Great work on both!

Im making my first quilt(i have a first try that ill finish but i made lots of mistakes and i have to hand sew it now but i want to make one for my mom and the others isnt for her, its smaller and i think itd would be considered a baby quilt.) ive been looking at so many videos, im not making a full sized one though. Side note, you are the second black person ive found in all the videos ive watched to learn, found the first after i wondered why i couldnt find any black quilters to see what they were doing, she was a nice older lady. Hope i get recommened as much black quilters as i do other white or asian, maybe you pòpping up means yt will recommened more and give me a nice mix.

Beautifully done. Did you use color catcher when you washed your quilt? If not you should consider using it in future wash. Thanks for sharing.
