Hey Sam- I need to check out that Luther Russell LP sounds right up my alley and I’m on board with Curation Records, dig several of their artists such as Uni Boys, Thomas Walsh, Evening Sons, Beachwood Sparks. I’m also longtime Jason Faulkner fan. Cheers! Matt
Hey, you're the Vinyl Douche, not the Research Douche. Interesting picks. I look forward to checking them out. I also enjoyed the new Kratzen, if you don't mind your indie rock in German. And the new High record, Come Back Down, on Kanine Records is solid, if not essential.
Both of those are on my list - I have listened to the Kratzen but haven’t gotten to the High record yet. Could be included at some point next month. Thanks for hanging out for another edition of the Research Douche. Cheers!
I like the new hairpiece. I'm jealous of the outside t-shirt weather. I'm also jealous of the hairpiece - I've been trying to go without one for too long. The Flower Machine sounds pretty interesting...
I got tired of doing the combover thing and figured I would run a new piece for a month and see how it feels. It’s a little more maintenance than I care for but I might be able to get used to it after a while. I find cold weather to be very lame. Very lame.
Meat stick in hand I’m enjoying the new sounds of 2025. Asian Glam caught my ears. Kind of worried that in Sweden they still use Polaroid cameras. Guess they don’t have cameras on their phones.
I liked the Luther Russell project, kind of has a Byrds vibe/sound. The Flower Machine is much more than an homage to The Beatles, Syd and others, it's an out and out rip off. (Do the cool kids ever use the term "rip off" anymore?) I was going to mention I liked your new hair, but I noticed someone else has complimented you on it, so I figured I wouldn't bug you about it again. 'Till next time.
Yeah, have to change the hair up every once in a while. I guess getting ready for the hot season. Definite Byrds-y sound on the Luther Russell album. Thanks for hanging out. Cheers!
Standout for me is Alpaca Sports, the two songs highlighted there showcase really good songwriting. Good work.
Glad you enjoyed that one as well. Thanks for hanging out and taking the time to comment. Cheers!

Hey Matt. Yeah, I do think the Luther Russell is one you will probably enjoy. Thanks for hanging out. Cheers!
Sam, Mrs. Zonkman says the hair looks great! Doucheable pop could be a new sub genre. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman
Thank you to Mrs. Zonkman. Gotta love some Doucheable pop. Thanks for hanging out. Cheers!

That Luther Rusell album cover looks very Belle & Sebastian-ish, but doesn't really sound like them. I dig it though. Cool pickuos.
Definitely the Smiths/B&S vibes on that album cover for sure. Thanks for hanging out. Cheers!

Hey Steve. Glad you’ve got a firm grip on your meat stick. Very important. Instant cameras and pay phones are definitely the future. Cheers!
Subbed to the Elefant RUclips channel and really liked Alpaca Sports but I haven't bought it. Might just...
Glad you also enjoyed the Alpaca Sports. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers!
