- I did this for a contest, but i am a stupid person and I misunderstood the deadline so I wasn't able to participate T^T buuuut it would be a waste to not share it so here it is anyway lol.
This and wildfire are still a couple of my favorite english vocaloid songs of all time, it's a shame circusP and crusherP decided to take them down. They were my high school anthems!
Eleanor is a dream to work with. I've actually been using synthesizerv since it came out, but I guess this is the first finished cover I've released! I finally figured out how to get some decent vocal fry with the glottal effects parameter. Pro tip: none of the default settings work very well, try crafting your own :D

i'm not up to date with all the vocaloids, so I thought this might have been something where it's a real person but with a vocaloid persona, then I read the comments and found out it is indeed a synthesized voice. super impressive

Where has this cover been my whole life?! This song is one of my favorites, ever. I had never heard Eleanor used like this before. The tuning was amazing! My favorite part was 'keep me out of check' lyrics because it sounded so smooth, like it was one fluid motion/breath and it worked so well for this song. It hooked me in and then the determination in the 'I am fixated' part of the chorus ugh. So good. You deserve lots of praise for this and I'm sorry I can only give so much but thank you so so much for working hard and sharing this with us! 💖💖💖💖
Wow, thank you so much for your comment, it's one of the kindest I've received. Sometimes I worry my old covers sound dated due to all the new technology that has come out (this is the 2018 beta version of synthV that i never stopped using lol) but I'm happy to know that people can still find things to appreciate in them. This is unironically really good! A lot of the Eleanor work I see has strange sounds to it, that loses some of the feeling of the original.
But this one doesn't! The sounds aren't an exact match, but it's made up with the tuning and the emotion!

This is actually just an edit of the original song's illustration! The original was of gumi, I just edited it (colors, hair) to look like eleanor instead. I agree though, the original art for this song is epic! That's why I wanted to incorporate it into my cover too. Of all the versions I've heard, this one I've been fascinated by, it's just amazing, and I wish I could use your acapella (just the voice track and if you can provide it for me) to create my own version of Crystalline giving it the respective credits, or yes well you wish, do a collaboration together;)

I just watched it and im speechless, where did you buy her? I've been looking into getting her myself but on the official Synthesizer V website there is only the free lite version of her :(
Warning, wall of text incoming, lol:
This is actually the free test/trial release version from 2018 from before synthv officially launched for sale. I tried multiple times to buy her once her paid version was released for synthv ver 1 a couple years ago, but at the time she was only available to buy through anicute which at the time had no english version and an extremely complicated payment process I was never able to figure out lol. Then by the time anicute updated their website to accommodate overseas customers & I had free time to get back into vocal synth, her ver1 was no longer for sale since synthv had moved onto ver. 2 D:
*The bad news:* As of right now, eleanor does not have a full version available to purchase, as you have seen. This is cuz updating her to ver. 2 has hit some roadblocks from what I've heard from eleanor's developers and kanru.
*The good news:* The lite version available now is from what I understand basically the exact same bank you hear in this video. The only reason I used the ancient 2018 test version for this is because I had it already so I was more familiar with the interface/functionality and was under time constraints for the contest. I did at first try her new trial bank for synthv ver 2, but was running into some pronunciation issues that were not present in the old version of the engine. That said, both versions have pronunciation issues (all eng synths do), it's just that I already knew how to fix the ones in the old 2018 version and didn't have time to troubleshoot the new version lol. Also I think maybe her ver2 lite version doesn't have glottal effect (used for vocal fry & growl) capabilities...? But don't quote me on that. Also that said, it's extremely hard to get convincing vocal fry in synthv bc you have to like, construct the actual waveform thing through a bunch of jargon-y sliders and none of the presets actually sound like real vocal fry lol, to get the settings i used in this video (which i think sound okayish) i literally just kept entering random values in the sliders for like an hour until i got something that sounded decent lol. So what I'm trying to say is for the average user I don't think the glottal effects parameter is something that is even that useful, if it's like it is in the 2018 editor.
*TLDR;* get the lite version, it's actually what you hear in this video! She sounds more realistic here because I went crazy editing all her parameters, not because it's a fancy paid version (which rn doesn't exist).

I downloaded her lite version and I was wondering if that version is missing something compared to this videos Vocal range but im extremly new to this all so that Isn't a big surprise xD I will def look around for some tutorials now, knowing with some propper knowledge and training I might come close to this quality even with the lite version it really brings my hopes up (especially after hearing they keep postponing her actual release sob).
