Hey mate, what blade was that on the grinder? Like a little circular saw blade? - small multi tool giving me grief and that thing went through like butter!! Thanks!
Awesome work! Great progress so far. I restored my own boat a year ago while watching you do the Voyager, and I used the multitool a lot. Best tip: get a blade for cutting metal, the wood cutting blades are dulled extremely fast when cutting fiberglass. And yeah, it is slow when you are cutting thick or laminated materials, but if you use a flat ended blade held at a 45 degree angle, it cuts through fiberglass a lot faster. And there is almost no dust from it ;)
Love it man can’t wait. I love the real time stuff shows how hard it is and makes sure I don’t do something stupid like show up to my house with another project boat 😂.
Thanks for the new vid, How many hours has it taken total it get as the far as the stringer removal? When you put the new stringers in can you let us know the size and type of wood your using please.
Hey john, allow a good 8-10 hours to remove floor, foam and stringers. Transom is what we will be tackling next then the cabin. By the time we finish that ready for sanding id say you'll be close to the 15-20 hour mark with a boat of this size.
Awesome Uncle Steve is there to help again, he seems like such a character lol. Loving the teardown mate great work
