    So for people who don't know vball the reason why Ishikawa lowered his arms is because he could tell the Brazilian attacker was looking for hands to blast the ball off of, the reason why it went out is when your attacking and trying to hit someone's hands you have to aim higher so it dosnt get stuffed back down on you, which if read the block will lower causing you to miss and you end up sending a home run.

He's a very valuable player to the team and has good instincts in play, an all rounder imo. • @CharlesFreck
      @CharlesFreck Год назад

      He didn't read it, the caption and comments are just really misleading. He mistimed this block completely and he's at a massive height disadvantage. If he tries to hold the block, it'll more then likely hit the top of his hand and deflect too far for his receivers to recover it. He realises he's made a mistake and gets rid of the block. If you're not sure you'll get a block, it's usually better to let your receivers have a clear view of the ball so they have the best chance to dig it out. He didn't know the ball was going to land out, he just knew he'd be hindering his team if he tried to keep his block up.
