I recommend Forestella 'Nella Fantasia'. Fall in love with angelic harmony
The bass (Ko WooRim) is a Classically trained Basso Profundo. The guy with the Gaga sounding voice (Cho Mingyu) is a Classically trained Tenor. The Baritone (Bae Doo-Hoon) was trained in Theatre. And the guy who was doing the highest notes (Kang Hyung-Ho was a Research Chemist, who sang part time in a ROCK Band. He had NO Vocal training prior to the show which created Forestella. His solo work is done as PITTA. Recommend their covers of Bohemian Rhapsody,😮 Shape of You 😮😂 Sweet Dreams or Time in a Bottle. Their Hijo de La Luna and Nella Fantasia (both with Kang Hyung-Ho's voice soaring) are glorious. But... Their most stunning performance is "Je suis malade". 😭😭😭 Simply wondrous. Bae Doo-Hoon's performance is touching.
Thanks for your reaction! Forestella is a Korean crossover group composed of a classically trained lyric tenor and basso profundo, a rocker/countertenor, and a baritone/musical actor. I'd recommend their performances of "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Je Suis Malade," "Time in a Bottle," and "Hijo de la Luna" to really appreciate both their individual colors and sublime harmonies. And they're currently on their first North American tour and performed in Vancouver last week!
They are a crossover quartet teamed together as a result of the show Phantom singers. They have a very wide repertoire. Every cover and every original is creatively arranged and perfectly executed. They have performed and competed several times on the show Immortal songs where they reinterpret classics. They earned the title King of kings 6 times on that show.
Have not heard better harmonies from any other group. Forestella is phenomenal!

This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world!
Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed.
You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us in King of Kings and Unwritten Legend too.
Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible.
Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their new original song Utopia is a must check.
Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia!

FORSTELLA is very versatile. They cover legendary songs of all genres in different styles and languages, always respecting the original. Their version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" is spectacular. Their "Shape of You" is an extremely successful fusion of different styles with rousing vibes. The interpretation of "Je suis malade" is breathtakingly pure emotion. How about "Sweet Dreams" (Eurythmics) for the rockier part, or the slightly heavier "Lazenka Save Us" (epic Korean rock). For more classically oriented songs, I recommend "Nella fantasia", "Hijo de la Luna", "Scarborough Fair" or "If I Leave". The harmonies, their unique voices and pitches (from Soprano to basso profundo) are particularly stunning here. FORESTELLA is musical passion in perfection.

FORESTELLA is not a K-"POP" group per se. They are a crossover vocal quartet (rock/pop/opera). Each voice is unique on its own, but when they create these incredible harmonies together, it's stunning! Technically highly qualified, they are able to produce (always live!) the most unbelievable sounds. 4 singers can sound like 40. Hugely popular in South Korea, they are well on their way to becoming well known globally. Don't miss out on quality music and keep reacting.

In the western world, however, this term is understood to mean standard pop music by Korean bands such as "Idols". Just the typical bands of the so-called "k-pop industry" that are known globally.(I hope you get what I mean. It's difficult for me to explain better) Do you really want to compare Forestella with that?? Many western k-pop lovers are irritated because Forestella is different from the "normal western standard "k-pop". They are so diverse and not easy to classify. Also in Korea "crossover" (like in the rest of the world) is rather unknown and also a marginal phenomenon in k-pop.(The translation of my first sentence is not good. It says "per se" but it should say "actually". That fits better because it indicates the difficulty of the classification.)

since it was your 1st time reacting to Forestella, my comment is you ain't see nothing yet. the best way to know them more is to listen or react to their performances more. then the rest will be 'wow', just 'wow'... anyway just have to see it to believe it.
This reaction had a good vibe...Korea has produced a number of terrific singers. My introduction to this Country's talent was BTS (K-Pop group) who performed with Pentatonix. One of the things I really like about your channel is that you always seem to react to new singers from around the world (I generally enjoy 85-90% of them).
Anyway, I recommended a singer to you previously (Angelica Hale), but you haven't reacted to her as yet with so many great artists out there...as a brief reminder, she appeared on AGT in 2017 as a 9-year old, and blew away the audiences !! She's now 14 (somewhat of a contemporary of Angelina Jordan). The best introduction of her talent, would be to start with her audition on AGT ("Rise Up"), followed by her golden buzzer performance of Alisha Keyes' song "Girl On Fire" !! With her fan base of about 3 million subscribers and several hundred videos on her RUclips channel, you might add another 10,000 subscribers to yours !! 😄❤😄❤

Hi~ Thanks for your reaction to FORESTELLA. For those who do not know about FORESTELLA, I'd love to tell you about this group briefly. They've met at a TV audition program called "Phantom Singer 2" which finds the best male cross-over quartet in South Korea in 2017 for the first time. These 4 guys were included(survived) in the final 12 singers among hundreds of applicants. And, the program PD divided those 12 amazing singers into 3 groups as the singers want. And, guess what? They(FORESTELLA) won this contest!!!
When they sing on the stage, they normally set their positions like this. The first one from the left side is Ko Woo-Rim(bass, a grad-schooler in vocal music), the second one is Kang Hyeong-Ho(soprano, ex-chemist researcher), the third one is Cho Min-Kyu(tenor, M.A. degree in vocal music) and the fourth one is Bae Doo-Hoon(tenor, musical actor) There're many amazing songs they've covered. I wanna recommend "just a few" songs in the below. If you live in another country, some videos might not be seen. Stay safe and have a great one, everybody! 😊

If you don’t mention the background or special effects of the stage, you are missing the best of the performance. That is another interpretation of the original.

This is a great performance but this song doesn't do real justice to their actual singing abilities. I think Scarborough Fair, Time in a Bottle or Je Suis Malade is a better intro to Forestella. They covered a lot of pop songs for this TV program, Immortal Songs, where they have won 6 consecutive times in a very tough competition (of the likes of Sohyang you already reacted to). :)

There is no auto tune, this was a competition (which by the way they have won for the 6th time in a row) and it was only sung live. FORESTELLA is a LIVE only band, check out other videos of their performances, there are plenty of them.

They don't need autotune and do only live performance. :) They do autotune only in the official music video. haha.
