THANKS FOR THIS VID ,MATE ....I AM FROM LONDON MYSELF BUT NOW I AM LIVING IN SPAIN ...BUT I HAVE MADE LIVERPOOL MY ADOPTED CITY ,YOU KNOW 👍🏻😂❤️🔥💥🎵⚽🥳😭😭😭😭😭🍺🙏🏻🤪 I HAVE BEEN HERE JUST 16 MONTHS AGO ...I;LL NEVER FORGET LIVERPOOL...AND EVEN LESS THE QUARTER CAVERN CLUB ...I EVEN CRIED WHEN I WENT INSIDE ...THAT DEEP MATE, THAT DEEP 🙏🏻❤️🎵💥💥💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks bud! I absolutely love Liverpool and can't wait to come back! I don't think 2 nights and 2 videos ever scratches the surface on what the city has to offer! Definitely be back early 2025 to do a load more!
From Hull and worked a lot in Liverpool. Both very underrated citys and as a local said to bookends for the M62 as they are both very friendly similar places.
Really good video. Other pubs I'd recommend in the city centre (going south end to north end). Peter Kavanaghs, The Caledonia, The Cambridge, Roscoe Head, The Dispensary, Liverpool Brewing Co, Coopers, The Futurist, The Post Office, Rigby's, Shenanigans, Lion Tavern, The Railway. There's also some good pubs in Baltic Triangle area.
@@thegreatbritishpubcrawl The Roscoe Head is one of the Famous Five Camra Pubs. One of only five UK pubs to appear in every edition of the Camra Good Beer Guide since it's inception in 1971. It's been run by the same family, I believe, since the early 1970's. There are two pubs in London, one pub in Cambridge, a pub in Worth Matravers Dorset & a pub in Cambridge making up the Camra Famous Five.
Ignore what people say about Liverpool it's a load of nonsense. Liverpool gets a lot of unfair prejudice and discrimination people who say these things should go see for themselves
I found Liverpool a great place for ales which surprised me at the time. Should be better publicised as it's up there along side cities like Norwich and Sheffield for beer.
Yeah, but there's a lot of dire pubs as well; Mathew St is somewhere to avoid if you like proper ale; not one pub/bar is in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide....I think that says it all.
So happy you two had a brilliant time in our beautiful city, lots of people love to knock our city and its people but genuine scousers are very friendly and warm and treat strangers well. I don't know how you lasted all them pubs tho as usually I only last about 6 and I am wrecked😂
By far the best Liverpool pub tour I’ve ever seen and I’m from the city. I’m not sure if you’re aware but The Vines is actually owned by the same guys who have St. Peter’s tavern, monroe & Red Lion but they also own The White Hart and the White Hart is brand new pub they opened it 2 years ago, it’s a complete new space. You missed The Engineer which is attached to the back of white Hart (same guys)
I am a scouser now retired to Thailand. I grew up in the 70s and 80s possibly the worst time to be in Liverpool. To understand the city you have to appreciate the history.Firstly as a slave port, massive wealth was made by many individuals who in turn invested a lot of their wealth into building, parks etc. Then came the British Empire and massive wealth again, we were the second city of Empire. Then came the mass emigration to USA with millions moving through the city, biggest docks in the world at the time It all fell on its arse after ww2 and then got a bad reputation, but now there is no better place to be for students ,football fans, music fans and cheap property. I drank in the communist era of one beer pubs, keg ales, no choices and to understand the Ship and Mitre it was the only free house in the city,CAMRA was a quirky old mans organisation and the manager there, I remember his big red nose was a real ale pioneer
The cavern is same space underneath, just entrance was where the front stage is now and the original stage went length ways towards the rear concert room. Main change is the entrance. But its still same space once your inside.
I was in Ye Hole In Ye Wall about 10 years ago with a friend who's Liverpool born and bred and he said that Hitler once drank in there. How true I don't know? But that's what he said. Great video btw as always 🍺
I believe it's true as he came over from Austria to stay with his brother for about a year. It's strange to think that the most evil man in modern history could have had a pint in some of the pubs in this video.
Yea, he did. But, during his stay, he went to watch Tranmere Rovers a lot and became a fan. At one match he went to, Tranmere were battered 7-nil. This sent him over the edge and the rest is history.
Also it should noted at one end of hope street is the protestant cathedral and the other end is the catholic cathedral as its said that the two religious sections are connected by hope.
Another great selection of liverpool pubs..until you got to the loft..not my scene after that....personally I've never got on with the ship and mitre..walking past Vernon's is a sin...always said liverpool is the best city for pubs..you've barely scratched the surface...shall be in the cornmarket and baltic tonight before over priced lager in the arena for paul heaton
I always stood by that as well... but as I've been around the country, there are places and people who swear that it's 'YEE' and then moan if I say 'THE' so I just do both now... and still can't win haha...
Great video, Liverpool is indeed the best city in the UK for pubs, love going there every year.
Great video, mate. Liverpool, for me, is the best city outside of London for visiting.
You've done the city proud with your pub selection, lovely video.
Glad you liked my home city it's boss isn't great pubs you did a great job mate thank you

Thanks for this brilliant video, thanks for seeing through the noise and seeing our great city for what it is, glad you enjoyed and just subscribed

Best 2 cities in uk for pubs
great vid mate, glad you liked Liverpool
I lived down South for 47 years. What i like about Liverpool is, its so small , you can easily walk everywhere.
Really good video. Other pubs I'd recommend in the city centre (going south end to north end). It's a beautiful place. Been a few times. The people are always welcoming, the buildings are beautiful and the pubs are great.
Love it ❤

The Cavern was knocked down for ventilation shafts for the Underground trains
Up there with the best pubs and beers in the country

And Maggie tried so hard to destroy us we had the last laugh
Love your videos. Will you do pubs in Ireland next? You could call it the Craic and Ale tour.
I AM DYING TO RETURN TO LIVERPOOL ONE DAY SOON AGAIN !💥🔥🎵❤️😭😭😭😭😭🥳🍺🎵⚽
great video.. but slow down a bit on the camera when going from side to side. I got a bit dizzy. I do the same thing myself fyi

The pub hitler rumoured to drink in was ye cracke not ye hole in wall. we were told by the barman in there.

Hitler most evil man in modern history 🤔He was like a choir boy compared to the majority of American, Israeli and British Governments.
Levellers tune was defo about Mansfield. They love it in NG18, apparently..

The Roscoe Head; one of the 'Famous Five' to have appeared in every edition of CAMRA's Good Beer Guide......
The Cavern Pub is decent. Always live music on.
But the ale is average.....one to avoid if you like proper ale.
You should google the artists and history that zanzibar has had. Its realy extensive includes oasis and loads of liverpool bands.
How many Pints did you drink ? Some very strong .
Great vlog that, well done. How are you two not rat arsed ?
dont forget to feed ducks tomorrow
Philharmonic, where Paul McCartney did his carpool karaoke gig 🎤
"MARTIN STREET"! I guess that's why you chose to go to the WRONG Grapes Pub, which is on Mathew Street.
You can take your ale mate.
Haha, years of practice mate.

Slow down on filming too quick moving around, makes you dizzy
The beer selection in the Philharmonic is poor these days, they always have loads of pumps out of service
