This could be a part of my childhood and i'll guess that was the idea.. because "everyone" remembers weird/crazy neighbors and since "The Burbs" with Tom Hanks from the 80's... be careful you never know who lifes next door.

From my understanding the biggest failing of the first hello neighbor is how dramatically the game kept changing between builds. Like change is good, just that from what I've read it didn't feel super directed. like how the house just kept changing constantly as if the Dev couldn't decide on the layout or overall theme. But that's just my outside perspective from what I've heard so I can't really comment on how the actual game is.
Hello Neighbor is one of my favorite franchises. While the first game is not the best, The franchise is worth checking out Also if you want to check out more Hello Neighbor trailers, You should check out Hello Neighbor Hide and Seek Launch trailer. It's really emotional

Imma be real, hello neighbour is an unfinished mess. Such a waste of potential, could have been good, but it just wasn’t at all. I can guarantee you guys would have a bad time playing it, the game becomes so impossibly difficult as puzzles have literally no hints and are insanely out there. You will have to google your way through it as the new player experience is abysmal. Do not recommend.
yeah it had a lot of potential it got ruined because the audience ended up being 80% children so the developers made it more cartoony and bright i wish it kept the darker style from the early trailers

I wouldn't say it's spooky per say except one one aspect the ai fuckin learns as you play if you have a favorite route, it will lay traps there
