Comment for reasons! 2:12 "Gorgon speak no languages, but let out a roar of anger when they encounter other beings." So, me before morning coffee. Got it.
Blink would persist for the next minute because its not a concentration. So you'd just have a statue blinking in and out existence like Castle Dracula in netflix show.
These things the Greek catoblepas, (bull creatures w/ a poisonous breath & gaze), the colchis bull (fire-breathing robo-bulls from the Jason myth), and medieval catoblepas (which are like the Greek ones + metal scales) Frankensteined together with a completely different iconic monster's name slapped onto it.
excellent inspiration guys. I'm going to put a Gorgon into my next session except it's going to be bronze, will be a construct, and will require a sacrifice to craft - similar to the Greek version. this thing is gonna be terrifying thanks.
I had heard you mentioned Gorgons in the Medusa episode, so the name was in the back of my mind. This led to my PC stating that a gorgon ate his pet dog. This episode makes me realize how brutal that would’ve been
Ah, the D&D monster whose name makes me tear out my hair in frustration (seriously, I hate calling the snake-haired women "Medusas" it's like calling all humans "Jeffs")
Actually the gorgons are based on african legends more similiar to the catoblepas.! Other than that, the name is from the african creatures (same name as the greek ones)
whatever source you were reading the information about the bull from.....not sure how they left out that the first victim unbeknownst to the man who invented the thing would end up being the MAN who invented and constructed the human BBQ'er himself.

4:31 I once saw a barbecue grill designed after this thing. Kind of messed up in my opinion. Cool. But messed up.

7 months old Gorgon petrifies and TPKs a bunch of adventurers.
William, the proud dad GM: "Aw, they grow so fast..."
I would 100% say that the charge does not provoke opportunity attacks. other creatures do have abilities like that, I mean, even the owl has “fly by.”
Dnd chimera doesn't have a snake tail only in the myth
Kung pow is my favorite movie 😂
My wife hates it tho 😂

pokemon fusion vibes from the cross breeding with the gorgon and chimera
Can we please get a short or just a video of the "shout out to demogorgan" song, I want it as a ring tone so much ❤️
What do you get when you cross an Owl with a bungee cord? 3:14

A lot of old, weird monsters where based off plastic models/toys that Gygax/etc had on hand. See: Rust Monster
