You can say whatever you want about this era of music, but the things I miss about it is the sense of fun & that a lot of those bands tried to give you your money's worth when you paid to see them live. I realize the industry is different now, but the fact is there was a LOT of bands fighting for supremacy on the 80' LA scene. When a band got signed they made damn sure to keep their fans happy. Now you get a contract after a youtube video.
I couldn't agree more. Even as someone who has been listening to Cannibal Corpse since '98, I still love me some Hair Metal. And, these guys along with the other greats in the genre had some very good teachers to learn from...Van Halen!!!
Bravo to ya brother! Well said...I mean I've shifted through the years from 80s metal to 90s grunge to whatever the fuck is happening now.... But I still miss the classics and the awesome bands of my youth. Fuckn wish I was around Led Zep times and early Floyd but fuckn love a variety of music and so called hair metal bands are still definitely one of em. Chin chin😁

I wish CC'd stayed in his lane live those few years. The drug/alcohol-fueled overcompensation hurt his credibility among fans for a while. I think he's learned from that though. My man (to the degree that my nickname was CC in grade school) was a phenomenal riff-maker and gifted writer. He laid down the magic when it counted (albums).
Their live performance is much better than I expected. I should have experienced the live concert, which would be the most enjoyable as seen in this video. They should be more evaluated!!
