Nothing like talking NHL hockey with someone who played at that level.

I believe in Rob Blake. Sure! There may have been certain mistakes he might have made! But people should know! Everybody will eventually. No matter who is the General Manager. Nobody is perfect. And I still believe in Rob Blake. I’m still a dedicated fan of his. And giving I met him at one point! I know how wonderful of a person he really is.

I wish we could've got a few words on Kaliyev...

Darryl is a class act but doesn’t always say it like it is. I really wish the Kings could work it out with Kaliyev. Think he’d do great if they put him on a line with Turcotte and Thomas and just let the kids play and learn together on the fly. I’ll guarantee when he gets traded he will score 20+ goals in his first season with another team. Kaliyev is just one more player that was terribly mismanaged by the LA Kings and Im sick of it quite frankly. Ownership doesn’t give a crap about this organization or else Luc and Blake would be gone long ago.

soon as i heard the host say “exciting” contract signing i knew this was going to be fluff; c’mon Darryl 6.25M x 5; this is why the Oilers kick our tails as they sign Arvinson for half the annual. You guys keep talking like QB is going to be an 80-100pt guy. Well, when he does, then you give him a 6.25m. I think this is a marketing contract to expand the fan base.

    Q. has to start 2nd line Center. With 5 years and big bucks, the Kings must get him into his natural and desired position. He needs ice time on the 2nd line and 2nd PP unit. As I said for a long time, Q needs to hit 90 points to be in the top elite players. Stop wasting time to see if he can achieve that or not.

IMO, Byfield got way too much money in this contract. Just another 'ballooned' contract by Blake. I hope it doesn't blow up in our face.

you cant be serious lol If anything Byfield took a discount on money and years everyone was pretty much expecting the 8 year deal which will be his next one after this deal and not to mention the whole plan has been keep him as a King his whole career and be Kopitar's replacement when he retires

He'll be overpaid the first year but not nearly to the level he's underpaid in the last few years of this deal. I get your frustration because it doesn't quite line up with the window given kopi and doughty aging. I don't believe this team will be a true contender until after doughtys contract is up. One of the worst in the league and holding the team back

right on!! 6.25M x 5!! Oilers sign Arvinson 2 x 3.5. They add and secure pieces while we go backwards. They were lucky to mitigate the PLD contract then immediately step into another albatross. I like QB, he’s a hard worker, but he can’t finish, he’s a cog not a straw.

@@carlmack2188 he’s also just entering his third year of a full NHL season he got 20 goals last season playing in a position he’s not familiar with and also he’s not know for “goal scoring” that’s never been his game
