I wasn't surprised by Mikey Andersons stepping up. He is just now hitting his prime years, and he was already good to begin with. What has surprised me is how well Gavi has filled in on the right side while DD has been out.
@@mickhoddy Mick I was hoping you got beyond the obvious: Yes we know that the game is twice as fast than it was 50 years ago, but understand that he was still playing angainst 20 years old professionals who were the best in the World, and hanging with them, with nowhere the training, diet and regiment we have today!!! Kopi can easily have 10 more years in the league.
I say when Drew is back we start him up on the second pairing with Brent Clark leave Mikey with Gavi as the shut down pair and then switch if it does not work but so far Kings D has been a pleasant surprise without Drew GKG!!!!!
My biggest worry when Doughty comes back is not Drew performing to his usual standards but more so them putting Gavrikov back in his normal position and him not playing as well because he will be so used to playing on the right AND being paired with Mikey at this point that between both that and Drew's minutes going to be being measured due to his coming back from injury and conditioning issues, the defense may not be able to maintain its current performance.
This guy 7.5 or 8 million for gavrikov thats crazy no way and if he expects that kind of contract and when he does that phone gesture i hope he is calling home to ET and looking to get paid in Reese pieces i wouldn't give him a dollar over 5.5 million and if he wants more friggin trade him GKG
