I sure struggle with this wheel , it it hair raising to see the colours altogether. But l will push on , maybe a colour fairy will pop in to my dreams , and hey presto l can see clearly now the fog has gone , thankyou for simplifying this nightmare for me Claire .

Hello This was really informative. Thank you. I have a question; when getting shade color you say add black. I’ve always heard to add burnt umber ( I do a lot of painting with acrylic paints). This is very helpful for me. I’m just not sure about adding black because it tends to become overbearing. Thank you for your help. 🙏🏼😊
Yes I’ve heard that too. I don’t know if the same applies to coloured pencils as paints - I know people don’t use black oil paints they build up the colour with green or blue xx
