Sergei, try humba at least once. That's one of Filipino's best dishes especially in Visayas and Mindanao areas. Just try once and choose the one that's cooked very tender. You will love it.

@@elysanti7606 the authentic humba isn't predominantly sweet. It has a variety of flavors-a balance of salty, sweet, and bit of soury tastes perfectly blended together.

I am from Bicol region. The original Bicol express is made with two ingredients...hot chilies and coconut milk only (there's a story behind this dish). This is not being cooked in other parts of the Philippines, so you could only find this in Bicol region. However, what is being made in many parts of the Philippines is called Pork Binagoongan which is fondly called by many as "Bicol Express", consisting of Pork or chicken, shrimp paste and coconut milk.
By the way, the oil was from the pork and coconut milk.

Once you tasted the Bicol Express from someone from Bicol or in Bicol, you'd prolly love the dish more. The coconut milk is more prominent and a bit spicy. Just like Laing, it's a vegetable dish from Bicol as well.
Kinilaw is a method just as most of the names of Filipino dishes. They are method of cooking and the ingredients varies depending on the region or personal preferences.

sinuglaw is a combination of sinugba and kinilaw. sinugba can be any grilled meat but since Mindanao people like to eat grilled pork, they thought it can be a good combination with kinilaw. In Mindanao kinilaw, means "kinakain ng hilaw" - in Tagalog it means "eating raw" not cooked.

If you want to try a different sauce for the pork and fish, buy Mang Tomas (you can find it in the grocery store) bottled sauce. It is a little sweet and spicy and goes very well with liempo, roast chicken or lechon. It's better than soy sauce.

-That is not siling labuyo, that is just bird's eye/thai chilli (Taiwan variety).

Everyone’s entitled to their opinion! People have different tastes especially when it comes to food. It’s ok to say I don’t like it or I love it or whatever…it’s a genuine reaction. Valentina’s parents don’t look happy because they’re divorcing. Give them some slack as they figure things out and not be so critical

My gosh you must also learn what is Informal versus Fornal! When you are at home with your family or even in the beach with your family and close friends you do things informal like in this case because we already know each other and sometimes it creates a more fun feeling, and when you are in the formal gatherings like weddings, 18th birthdays or special occassions we do formal things like behaving accordingly. I know because as a kid I did the same thing, my very rich close friends also do the same and we laugh and have fun with each other, and when we wre in a wedding or a friend's birthday with so many visitors we did formal things like the proper etiquette! Hey, why are you behaving like you all know this and that better than us? You don't wear a 5-star hotel gown with diamond necklace in a simple random dinner with your family at home before going to sleep, same you don't wear house t-shirts and old shorts in your relative's extravagant wedding in a 5-star hotel. My gosh think before you write lolz..from what planet are you? Just mind asking Lolz😅🤣

Hey,who are you to say that he's not suppose to stay longer in the Philippines? Did he make any violation to the law? How dare you to say that to those Foreigners who just love to stay and live to very nice and quiet province. Watch your word @chesmkamar5701. Everybody has a choice where they want to live and stay as long as they don't do nothing against to you or to anyone else. Be polite and be kind to your fellow people. Maybe you're the who have attitude based on your comment. Try to visit their country if someone annoying you and hate you then tell me what you feel if they tell you the same. And also nobody's perfect look at yourself first. We,Filipino have a different attitude, but we are known with a good heart, kind, friendly and hospitable people. So please don't be rude to those Foreigners who loves our country.🤞 Don't watch them as simple as that.✌
