XM Maestro is a 10/10 piece for me personally. Most anticipated piece for my collection.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and art is subjective. That being said, a statue that is a “Perfect Ten” for me, meaning I wouldn’t change anything about it, would be the XM Hulk Transformation, Sideshow Thanos on Throne, and maybe Superman Hush. I would have said XM Magneto on Throne, but I would have wanted him slightly bigger since he is slightly under scaled.
Well said. Now to me xm Studios hulk transformation is close but I'd have him a shade or 2 lighter. Sideshow thanos needed a far better paint to match that sculpt. Hush superman's base is horrible to me. Xm magneto is close too but the portraits are not painted well enough. There is subjective at its finest! Great choices regardless as I own 3 of the 4 lol
I stand by nothing being worth a ten, a ten implies perfection, which is quite an outlandish claim, especially, given the subject matter. It's difficult when talking about mass produced chunks of 'plastic', one needs to exercise perspective, we're not talking about works of art by the old masters! Ultimately, It comes down to the joy these things bring to the individual, one man's ten is quite simply, another man's five. Statue wise, the Motherland Calls is probably the finest statue I've seen!

Hulk OG could have been with the early sculpted pants version.
Hulk transformation is just to small and proportions are of, mainly the hands and feet being to small for Hulkish proportions.
Depends on the reference art for hulk as madx and og ss are the same sculptor and therefore a similar style and type. Seen them and liked them but against the xm transformation they just don't have the same detail and work to compete. They are museum esque I'm their simplicity though. Wolverine vs wendigo was special

Well, I can’t say that I’ve ever seen one of those BUT.... my JND Catwoman arrived a few day’s ago and I’m still utterly speechless. I haven’t seen a single photograph, from a Con or JND Marketing that has clearly shown this level of detail.
I swear she’s breathtaking to me and I cannot get over the almost microscopic skin detail that is almost visible in certain light.
I keep expecting her to breath, sneeze, giggle or even cry.
I don’t know what a ‘perfect figure’ is...but for my money, I just may have one!
Thanks for the content and while I’m on the subject, thanks too for many year’s of insight, information, fun and really good company.

I love all of my statues especially my P1 half scale Knightmare Batman (not their finest tbh) but to be perfectly honest, this JND 1/3 Hathaway makes them ALL look like early 80’s action figures chewed by my kid sister!

I have seen a perfect statue and her name is, Rogue Maquette. This is a statue of a character I am not a huge fan of and Sideshow managed to get my money. Sculpt, paint, fabrics and design is 10/10. To begin, the flying effect was pulled off flawlessly, she really looks like she’s flying on her own. The base has a saw blade that’s made of real metal, that blew my mind. Her portraits are beautiful and so is her body with the nice leather Jacket. I couldn’t find anything to complain about.
Seen her and she is fantastic. Personally if we are talking female pieces I loved blitzway Marilyn Monroe if we are talking xmen xm Studios Emma frost is a highscore! Some stunning work out there
@@GeoManRaddTitan yeah Marilyn is fantastic and the 1/6 Bogart looks great too but I don’t like collecting statues of actors, Maybe in the future I’ll start collecting those. Btw, I was able to see that man in black statue you saw and I was also mesmerized by the details. but the prize at the time was out of my budget.

I don't have the same experience most others here do, but the highest rated for me would have to be Weta's Lost Valley Lara Croft. I don't even collect statues at these larger scales and higher price ranges, but that's the first one I saw that I just had to have. I suppose it's more nostalgic than quality or anything else, though.
Yeah that is always the tricky part! Your love will always blind you that's why I said that bust! I would score a lot of my stuff 10 otherwise lol
A 10/10 statue of Wolverine has been hanging in my room for around 20 years. He's lunging forward in the yellow and blue costume. At only 7 or 8 inches long it's easy to move if needed.

To me the perfect statue is extremely hard to pick! My personal pick for something that's close would be Batman Shogun or Optimus Prime by XM for what it is, but then Soundwave and Starscream are up there with it too

Great topic! For me I would say XM Black Panther, XM Starscream and possibly XM Maestro when I get it in hand. I definitely believe it is subjective.
The panther was nice but the base is bland as fuck. I used aquatic fake plants and vines to liven thar up

@@Bane_1313 do it man it added so much to it. I added those small long leaves aquatic fake plants that look like big house plants and put them in the cracks aswell. If I can find a pic I'll share it next week

Yeah this is very subjective. Before i started collecting, i saw XM’s Dark Phoenix and it blew me away. That and Hulkbuster are very strong 9s but a 10, i don’t know.

Never seen a 10 yet - I buy mainly customs, I think more of a chance of a 10 with licensed as they are overall better well rounded.
If there is one I don't think I have seen it yet. I know Alex hasn't and he us the only person I know that has seen more pieces than me

The paint kills that as a 10. Lean and base also kill its score. No ES makes it a non Collectible to Me.
@@GeoManRaddTitan The paint is literally perfect.. I'm not sure that anyone who has ever seen one in person would share your opinion. No lean whatsoever on mine, and for a 'no ES' collectible, it sure has skyrocketed in value.
@@Computerfly mate no disrespect but I have seen at least 12 of these in person and all 12 have very inconsistent paint quality. All had shit base paint. At least 50% had a wobble or lean and more had non lit parts that should be working! If you like yours great but try not to come at me with anyone that's seen it in person rubbish as i am willing to bet thatI have seen more of these than you!
