    Was looking for a review on the GPE-2323, but here I am anyway.
    The channel order may be because Ch3 and 4 are "aux" rails, 1 and 2 are "mains"

      Yeah, that sounds plausible. The reason for the "culture" comment was because of an earlier experience with a Rigol DS4014 where I learned that it had two blue channels (one teal, one saturated blue) for cultural reasons -- evidently in China (or some subset of the East) teal is considered conceptually distinct from saturated blue in the same way that we'd consider green conceptually distinct from blue. My previous GPD-3303S had channel 1 on the right and channel 2 on the left, so funky channel layouts are a trend with GW Instek, and I'm not entirely convinced that aux positioning entirely explains the overall trend, but I certainly don't know for sure. It's fun to speculate.

      @@jjoonathan7178 Interesting. Didn't know about the teal thing.

    Did GW-Instek pay you for this promotion? XD
    Just kidding, I love this PSU and thanks for sharing this video.

    Thank you for the review, well done. These things have really gone up in price so still debating one.. quick question, do you find the variable 0-1A on channel 3 and 4, especially CH4... limiting being a max of 1A?
    I personally feel that's the biggest downfall of this PSU.

    • @jjoonathan7178
      @jjoonathan7178  2 года назад

      Yeah, it made me a bit nervous, but I've always been able to find a job for the runt channel. There's usually at least one low-power, low-voltage job around. I suppose it's largely a function of what you're doing, and most of my projects at the moment are small modules rather than board bringup or power electronics. I've been eyeing the NGP-814, but it'll have to wait until I actually outgrow the GPP-4323, and that hasn't happened yet.

    • @stever7638
      @stever7638 2 года назад

      @@jjoonathan7178 I agree, I think I will have more smaller jobs for the 3rd or 4th channel than I think. Having a variable, lower current channel, offers more flexibility than a higher fixed current channel.
      That being said.....with the almost $150 increase of the 4323, I can get two 3303X-E's...for one 4323.....so there lies the dillema.
      I'd rather have only 1 psu right now, but it's a PSU...lol, always room for more power.
      My gut says go with 4 variable current outputs in one unit, than with 2 separate PSU's.
      Plus, the 4323 has standard BNC-banana plug width terminals.

    I hate the lack of O*P physical LEDs, they are so much better or showing fast transitions, but everything else looks good, how fast and noticeable are the Over indicators? I am looking to upgrade my GPD-3303s, love it. Can you set it to not turn off the channel on ocp? Also,, ummm keithley 2612!! envy

    Thanks for your review. Are you still satisfied with your unit?
    Are there any noise or humming sounds coming from the Unit? I have the OWON ODP3033 newly purchased at home, but the humming sound is so annoying so I`m considering to return it and upgrade to the GWInstek. Any other issues with GWInstek? Thanks i advance!

    • @jjoonathan7178

      Yep, it still works just as well as it did on the first day. No hum, no egregious fan revving, it just works. I'd still recommend it!

      @@jjoonathan7178 Thanks for your fast response. I`m waiting for reply to my message about returning the Owon power supply from eleshop customer service. As soon as i got the RMA Label and know the right procedure for changing to the another unit I really will take the GwInstek into closest consideration. It seems a good unit for the price of approx 605€ including LAN-option.

    I would have a question about this power power supply output terminals. When I have a look what is sold today all PS have terminals "inside" of the supply but yours stick out. Is it another version? What is diferent?

    • @jjoonathan7178
      @jjoonathan7178  3 года назад

      I think there is a European version without binding posts because having possibly exposed metal at 32V does not comply with certain regulations.

    • @thecuc007
      @thecuc007 3 года назад

      @@jjoonathan7178 I have orderd it so I ll tell you soon. I hope for binding posts, I don't know about any regulation that would prohibit the usage of them.

    • @jjoonathan7178
      @jjoonathan7178  3 года назад

      @@thecuc007 Yes, unfortunately I can't be more specific because I am just passing on a rumor that I heard to explain a similar instance of one model having binding posts and a sister model lacking them. "Europe" isn't a specific country and "regulation" isn't a specific law, so I don't have much to go on one way or the other. I don't actually use spade lugs very often, but I slightly prefer binding posts and it sounds like you do too, so I hope that's what you get! Still a good supply either way.

    I'm using GPP-4323, but channel 1 started to not output when there was no problem. Do you have any information about this issue?

    • @jjoonathan7178
      @jjoonathan7178  3 года назад +1

      Sorry to hear that! No, I haven't seen that issue. Whenever I trip OCP (for example) it just turns off the green channel light and turning the channel back on resets the "fuse." Sounds like your unit has a problem. Time for warranty -- or a project. If it turns into a project please think about recording a video, I'd love to watch!

    Hello! How I can use it as Current source ?

    • @jjoonathan7178
      @jjoonathan7178  2 года назад

      The problem with using a power supply as a current source is the output capacitor. You can set a 1mA limit, but if the output capacitor is charged, it can discharge much more than 1mA without being limited. You might even see sparks with a 1mA "limit"! Instead, either use a quick custom circuit (voltage plus resistor, LDO regulator across a series resistor), an actual current source instrument, or a SMU.
