I am so glad we had 5mins minimum loading times because they never would have had these OSTs made otherwise.
Last Ninja 2 and Turrican 2 have the most memorable gaming music from my childhood.

My favourite game of all time, and my favourite piece of music from a game. Genius then, and genius now.
I want a Remake of Last Ninja I and II for PC, PS 4 and Switch!
I love LN2. I got nowhere as a kid but i just beat it in 13.25 and mentally hi-fived my 12 year old self.
@@Schleimie if i have some friends around who arrange music, draw graphics etc. i would use clickteam fusion to remake all ninja series. i really wanted that and bought CF 2,5 but i am not good at either graphics or musics. But you may find that kind of team around. i hope you will and i would be the first one to try, pay, play.
Passage of time slows for me when this tune comes up. Original or remixed. It is so mesmerizing and takes me to a time long gone you would not believe what wonders i saw and experienced then. Moments lost in time and space like tears in rain never to come back again.
hOLY Moly 😂 Epic is not enough wordage to describe this tune, I had no idea my C64 could sound like this. Makes me wanna go and plug it in and get back on the Commodore love train!

The initial buildup is simply mind-blowing. Like being airlifted from a beautiful garden into the middle of action in just one minute.
This is exactly what it sounded like to me all those years ago.
back in the day when the loading of the game could be made tolerable with an epic tune , some so good that you would load the game up just to hear the music, and end up connecting a hifi to your c64 for it . These days a pspro with all digital surround sound , but it is just not so memorable ..or is it just me.

@Freddie: So true mate, helemaal waar! I remember too that I switched on my C64 just to listen to the music instead of playing. What a wonderful tunes the C64 had. So much memories from such a great time and era. It`s unbeatable....
C64 SID was addictive. And with such masterpieces it was absolutely a well spent time. Games nowadays are all about visual experience, back then they were simple but complete.
Total brilliance , I remember saving up for months to buy a 1541 , they were so expensive back in 88

Zx Spectrum was my computer as as kid and will always be my fav, but I remember this at my mates house back in day and loved it.
Got a C64 just last year off ebay and guess what game I got on tape, LN2 with another few classics like Commando and Ghost and Goblins. All good games with class tunes!

i want to say that these new versions of the LN2 OST could fit perfectly as new music tracks of today. i could listen to them without LN2 in mind. that's to say you've done a great work, a whole masterpiece album with the other remixes/remakes.

Last Ninja 2, Central Park (ost) was the reason I bought my first bass back in '06. It was Esb b-50, sold it couple years later. Tried it again like a year ago, and it is surprisingly good for entry lvl instrument. Now using Schecter Ultrabass.
I heard the song and saw the game in the early 90's, my cousin had it. Don't remember was it the first eargasm I had, but definitely mind shattering it was. Still love the tune, have had it as a ringtone since I got my 1st smartphone, monty on a run as a message sound, sometimes using Robocop 3 title theme.
I would like to thank you for giving me the interest to play music (piano, guitar and drums too) and for giving me the first spark for finding gems like this. I have undying love for 8-bit game music.

I still remember turning on my C64 and hearing this for the first time. There are a handful of songs of this caliber that we still consider great, this is one of the them! I am actually surprised we have not had a last ninja 4 and are you going to do reformation for last ninja?

Sounds really good, even the outro is alright... But I think I liked the original previews tighter and drier drums more. But on the whole this is the best version yet.

I prefer the old versions intro into the tune, it sounded more natural and emotional to my ears....kinda like it's pleading and crying for you to continue listening.....a bit more clarity and seperation on the violins at 2:57 would make my ears happy and fuller/deeper bass starting from 1:55 would make them orgasm....that may be down to RUclips encoding though.
Anyway it's your tune so who am I to criticize. I'm so happy to have the pleasure to hear your journey during the mastering stages. :-D
Anyway, I'm loving what you have done so far to this track Matt, I'm really looking forward to receiving the Box Set when it's completed!

Most 64 "remixes" are the original + shit drums.
These are re-creations that preserve the original C64 _SOUND_
So f**k yes after 1 minute of further consideration I will buy this CD set. Right after I bought the 3D printer and more ammo etc.
