I'm a Japanese Mario World fan, and I really wanted to tell you that I'm making this comment, sorry if the translation is hard to understand. This video is long, but everything is funny! I thought I knew all sorts of bug tricks in this game, but I was surprised to see so many bugs I didn't know existed! And it was really humorous and funny to watch! Thanks so much for making this video! Mario World is Awesome!!!!
I wonder why Japanese people love watching every kind of TASes, they're entertaining, which I mean, is okay, but it's odd, because almost every Japanese person I know loves TASes, but then in America and the rest of the world, only a small group of TASers enjoy TASes. Proves Japan is better than the rest of the world when it comes to tastes
this man woke up and said "Fuck it, every glitch TAS" and I'm all here for it! I can't imagine the time that went into this, but it seems like it was worth it. amazing video!
He didn't show the glitch for the ? Mark game where if you spin your cape from right to left all the time you will earn each one no matter what order it's supposed to be
The thing I love about this TAS is not just the glitches, but the way Mario is portrayed here. It's like Mario knows exactly what he's doing, and yet manages to surprise himself sometimes at what he does. This is especially funny when something flies away, and Mario looks up as if reacting to it like "What the heck did I just do?" I've been waiting on this video for so long, and I'm so grateful that this didn't become one of those projects you burn out on and put away forever. Thank you for your time and effort.
Shoutout to this madlad not only for creating one of the coolest glitchfest runs out there, but also for still hearting comments he likes almost 3 years later.
01:24:24 the leaf icon from Mario 3!!! This video is the answer to my childhood, because I accidentally found a few of these glitches and could never replicate them. Fantastic video would be an understatement and a disservice to how grateful I am for this perfection!

I've said this in a video on a TAS ACE running on the original NES Super Mario Bros in which the ACE resulted in a "Bad Apple!!" animation with audio running on the actual hardware, but I'll say it here too: I love the creativity of arbitrary code execution and, how the limitations of the hardware and software come to contribute to that creativity! This is a Tool-Assisted Speedrun [TAS]. With these tools: Slowdowns, save states and frame by frame, it allows for a perfect run of a game that can even do inhumanly possible things.

Something I really appreciate about this kind of video is how, the more familiar you are with SMW as a casual game, the more you appreciate how wild this stuff actually is. Someone who can recognize what objects are based on how they move (no matter what they look like) is going to be more baffled than someone who's remembering the game from childhood. And then it's only after consuming dozens of hours of RUclips videos explaining stuff like how Yoshi's mouth works that things finally start to make sense again (if only a little bit).
@@IgorOliveira666 "Okay, I threw my SNES down the stairs. Now what?" But, seriously, SMW must be one of the most thoroughly understood pieces of software in the world. It's really, truly incredible just how much knowledge there is to know about this game, how it works, and how much silly nonsense you can get away without even opening the ACE gateway to hell. The SMW hacking community (all 30+ years of it) is really something else.
list of general glitches i havnt seen before in mario world, and have no idea how it works (will edit as i watch) (holy fuck there is a lot nice tas jesus) 2:29 now playing mario 3, gotta get that flute 3:43 what 4:20 i turned the platform into a shell luigi 5:57 (i do know how this works but is noteworthy) virtual boy mario makes an appearance 6:20 nice star? 7:07 funky spike head 7:47 no end theme for you 8:30 police open up 9:16 suicide 11:08 mario why do you have a money printer thats illegal 12:22 holy fuck 14:04 keygen 14:30 thank you mario, but the correct key is in another castle 16:02 sorry you ran out of time 17:45 whole lot of stuff here 19:05 see ya later space plumber 20:06 and now, pacman ghost with eggs 21:36 switch palace got 23:12 nice combo 24:07 the walls are dangerous luigi 24:30 nice 28:12 no
Question, how did you get Charlie* into Yoshi's mouth at 1:05 to get the weird power up effects? The last tongue action you did with Yoshi was to lick a green shell and let normal tongue sequence finish. That should have cancelled out any null sprite or "holding an unoccupied item slot" shenanigans, right? Does it have to to with how, at 0:42, you (barely) managed to get Yoshi #1 to grab something before you get on Yoshi #2? And did you yeet Yoshi#2 into the pit to make Yoshi#1 active? * Yes, I know they are called Chargin' Chucks, that was a reference. An Internet for you if you know who
When I licked that shell with Yoshi #1, before Yoshi #2 was born, at 00:42, the red shell slot was "saved" in Yoshi #1's tongue. When Yoshi #2 died into the pit, Yoshi #1 appeared, with the shell slot in his mouth, and the chuck was occupying the shell slot at that moment, so Yoshi ended up swallowing the chuck. The green shell didn't interfere with that because he wasn't in the red shell slot.
Please make a commentated version of this video, I’d love to understand what is happening! Maybe you can even do this at an AGDQ event or livestream and post it to your channel!
@@IgorOliveira666 You write English perfectly! Maybe hiring a channel that specializes in narration or doing the narration in your native language then have the video auto-captioned and "auto-caption-translated" (whatever that is called). I didn't realize it would take that long to do a narration, but I have seen Bismuth's videos, where he pauses a playthru and explains what happened. I guess that video would be 5+ hours long Anyways, amazing work! I'll watch the entire thing over a few days when I get the chance!
@@BSBMteam RUclips will implement a tool that translates our own voice into any language, but I don't know when yet. But in this case I could make the video explaining it in Portuguese and RUclips itself would translate it. Anyway, to explain this glitchfest I would literally need to make a series of videos. Explaining everything in just one video would generate a 50-hour video 😅 and even then, many people wouldn't even understand it because it's very technical.
(19:06/19:07) - Welp, old SMW just crashed. (20:45) - 1UP FACTORY!!! (24:31) - Perfect RNG to collect all 5 1ups. Weird graphics and physics ahoy! (32:46) - Hi, Yoshi! (8×) (32:52) - Bye, Yoshi! (8×) (34:05) - Is that a Wiggler or something else? (42:20) - You can play the game while the screen is black? Jesus Christ...
Me seeing the same exact glitches on SMW glitches videos: no more glitches im bored This guy making a video of 3 HOURS with glitches never seen before: are you sure about that?
This glitch is called Yoshification. What happened was a game mode change, from normal mode to map mode. So basically Mario was on the map within the level.
What an absolute masterpiece. It's not only three hours with *zero* filler, but it even manages to set up and pay off running jokes, _in a vidja game playthrough._
We can resume this video in the following: Hahaha wow thats actually quite funn- wait what how di- what no how di- no wai- what wait you ca- what hold o- WHAAAT, WHAAAAAAATTT Then the stage ends, he goes into the next one and it starts all over again. One of the best videos in ytb history, congratulations for the splendid work!
Ive always loved the quirky glitches hidden inside this game. Ive been experimenting with them on my snes, and I really wish I knew where to find the data on how to perform them, such as yoshi sprite replacement and the gray platform glitch. Love all of your content, especially this amazing 3 hour demonstration of how bad Nintendo is at coding. Ive also been thinking about making an explanation video over this one! :)
These glitches you mentioned are extremely complex, especially the gray platform. I wouldn't even be able to explain it. And to make a video explaining the entire glitchfest, it would take a 10 hour video and still not explain everything hahah there are a lot of things happening at the same time. There are some glitches that require a deep knowledge of the game to be done, it's not something overnight. This video is much more complex than it looks.
2:18:11 to 2:20:05 I just cant understand how any of this even works.. like i see dolphins that have a broken texture. And the other random things just coming out of that random corner. But then how the entire screen just breaks completely shocks me. I need an explanation 😅 Also sorry for being this late Also i feel bad for yoshi this entire video.. he got tortured hard.

In fact, most people don't realize the work and knowledge that a video like this requires 😅
@@IgorOliveira666 "Okay, I threw my SNES down the stairs. Now what?"
But, seriously, SMW must be one of the most thoroughly understood pieces of software in the world. It's really, truly incredible just how much knowledge there is to know about this game, how it works, and how much silly nonsense you can get away without even opening the ACE gateway to hell. The SMW hacking community (all 30+ years of it) is really something else.

Canal maravilhoso, continue 👋👋🇧🇷
É só o começo 🤜🤛
Im just 6 minutes into this video and my brain is overloaded
😆
Bro these skills... Great work! You playing very very good!!!
Mano do céu que TAS maravilhoso 🎉😊
Oh wow, almost 3 hours! Amazing!
Please make a commentated version of this video, I’d love to understand what is happening! Maybe you can even do this at an AGDQ event or livestream and post it to your channel!
If I knew how to speak English, maybe I would do that. Anyway, explaining everything in this video is almost an impossible task 😅
I guess that video would be 5+ hours long
Anyways, amazing work!
@@IgorOliveira666 Well, thank you for considering it! Maybe a video series could work if it pops off, muito obrigado!!~ (❁´◡`❁)
1:14:49 bro not only killed him, but killed his entire spritesheet. dang
(19:06/19:07) - Welp, old SMW just crashed.
(20:45) - 1UP FACTORY!!!
(24:31) - Perfect RNG to collect all 5 1ups.
(28:11/28:12) - I pressed the R button, now Mario acts like Captain Viridian from VVVVVV.
(31:25) - P-SWITCH FACTORY!!!
(31:37) - A green P-switch contains a fire flower. Weird graphics and physics ahoy!
(32:46) - Hi, Yoshi! (8×)
(32:52) - Bye, Yoshi! (8×)
(34:05) - Is that a Wiggler or something else?
(42:20) - You can play the game while the screen is black? Jesus Christ...
This TAS is an absolute masterpiece 🙇🏼♂️
Thank you very much man!
17:42 whoa, gold-pink Yoshi actually looks really awesome!
God this is soo fun to watch! Thank you :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
2:54:35 While Mario and Luigi are glitching stuff up, Peach escaped Bowser and brought the 7 Yoshi Eggs back to Yoshi's House.
😆😆😆😆 makes sense
Mario and Luigi were the distraction, the army at the gates of Mordor.
2:30 Okay, so where is the Mushroom House at the end of the level??
49:02
So this turned into a corruption? This superplay is wild
Me seeing the same exact glitches on SMW glitches videos: no more glitches im bored
This guy making a video of 3 HOURS with glitches never seen before: are you sure about that?
Could you imagine going over to a friends house as a kid, and this was how they played?
This is fucking amazing I can't stop watching it
Lmfao, 3 hours, this will be good
That's close to 3 hours, but 2 hours, 57 minutes and 14 seconds.
2:14:08 can you (or someone) please explain what the heck just happened here? That's just one of the most intriguing glitches I ever saw in SMW.
This glitch is called Yoshification. What happened was a game mode change, from normal mode to map mode. So basically Mario was on the map within the level.
Its so cool tho considering that was in 2 modes at THE SAME TIME
This was very interesting to watch, very cool video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Behold, a new category is born on TASVideos: WTFisthat???
OMG IT'S HERE YOU ARE AMAZING
I came across some of these glitches by accident, but you sir are a legend.
🤜🤛
What an absolute masterpiece. It's not only three hours with *zero* filler, but it even manages to set up and pay off running jokes, _in a vidja game playthrough._
🤜🤛
Idk what my eyes are going to watch before sleep LOL
The amount of time you spent making this must be absolutely staggering. Mind-blowing stuff
Glad you liked it!
There's 3 kind of glitches :

@@IgorOliveira666i would watch a 10 hour video explaining what's going on. That's all I'm saying.
@@fadorka Explaining everything that is happening in this video would be almost an impossible mission. Maybe someday I'll think of a way to do that.
Mario put the wrong mushrooms on his spaghetti.
This is amazing, great job Igor
2:18:11 to 2:20:05
I just cant understand how any of this even works.. like i see dolphins that have a broken texture. And the other random things just coming out of that random corner. But then how the entire screen just breaks completely shocks me. I need an explanation 😅
Also sorry for being this late
Also i feel bad for yoshi this entire video.. he got tortured hard.
least glitchy smw playthrough
You could hear the game crying for mercy at 49:05
