Damn, this was definitely his golden age. I remember seeing this tour and he was literally on top of the fucking world. To fully comprehend the genius of it, people need to know the records and see how he just takes the original songs and goes wherever the fuck he wants with it. Not repeating himself. Adding lyrics. Changing as many things as he wishes. Giving performance its real meaning. People get to see something unique and unforgettable. Can't believe there is no better sound recording than this...it's really really sad. Countless thanks to the poster Dec Cart for uploading this for all of us to listen to again and again.
His live thing from that era has never been given due credit. It didn't help that a lot of people there liked chilled out music so being confronted with this brilliant racket had them leaving. As someone as likely to listen to slow hip-hop as metal, I loved it. I wish he released a live album of the noisier stuff to try and get it heard by people who might really like it. And so I could listen to it.
It makes me sad that I was too young at the time to see him perform during the late '90s. The songs were heavy, and he performed with extreme intensity. I saw him on stage a few times during the last 10 years or so, but his latest musical output just doesn't resonate with me. For me, he was one of the most exciting acts in the nineties, but something changed after Blowback, could only listen to Knowle West Boy after that.

Then something from " Over the Pond" that is so FUKIN Grimy!!! Hip Hop/ Trip Hop/ Electronica/Punk- Lets face it- all the good stuff!!! This brilliant artist blew me away!! And I ask 30 somethings- have u heard of Tricky?? Always no!!!! W TF!!! Check him out people!!!!

I don't know this is before of after he tour in Italy, I saw this tour concert in Florence.....man what an amazing artist! I still remember when I bought Maxinquaye what a cultural shock, such an innovative time for music. The last song of the concert, I still remember today being high without needing any substance! Thanks for uploading this!!!
