Because these woods, are Jason's woods.
So good.
And nobody leaves them alive.
Possibly my favorite in the franchise, just absolutely love everything about this one!
I think next to Adrienne King, Dana Kimmell definitely would be my favorite leading lady in all of these movies!
Me too!
Same
It sucked on so many levels. It's on my bottom 3 for sure. It's just a rehash of the first two and completely pointless. Worst acting, worst final girl, cheesiest effects. It didn't even look or feel like a Friday film. Just a PAINFUL watch.
This was the first Friday movie I saw. I love it too, the debut of the infamous hockey mask
Parts 2 to 4. Jason at his best shape!
Yes I loved the classic human Jason movies I mean I like the zombie ones to but I preferred the human Jason movies
Part 1-4 are the best ones
@Pop-Actor
In 2-4 he was human
Definitely.
Out of all the Friday the 13th movies part 3 is my favorite
the original & part 3 were the best
The handstand kill in this movie had to be the best kill in the whole franchise, imo.
Are at least the best filmed!
then you clearly havent watched jason x 2001
And almost the goryest o_o
My favorite kill is the spear gun through the groin that the character Paul took in part 4. Absolutely brutal! That being said, the handstand kill was a close 2nd for me.
@@TobiasCramon12 Jason X came out summer of 2002, not 2001. Been watching Fridays since the very beginning. And yeah, the handstand kill is still better and more popular than any in Jason X. I would hope or assume you are referring to the frozen face being smashed into bits. Excellent kill, no doubt. Not on the same level in my opinion. Spear gun through the groin in part 4, eye ball popping out in part 3, which is only truly impressionable if you saw it in the theaters in 3D, not the bs 3d on blu ray. Other 2 that trumps anything in Jason X would be in the Unrated, not the R version of Jason Goes to Hell. Girl in the tent gets a spike through her stomach while her body is literally ripped in half, and Vicki the diner waitress who gets impaled and then gets her brains popped out of the top of her skull. There's a reason the ratings board wouldn't allow these deaths on screen, unlike Jason X. Don't get me wrong, Jason X in my opinion is way better than given credit for.
Released on August 13th 1982... 40 years old on this day... Jason Lives & Celebrates!
Now this is the one where Jason wore the hockey mask for the first time and they stuck with it ever since to make him a slasher icon.
Underrated sequel
Parts 4-7 were much better. This felt really cheap and just not well acted. Check out the OMG moment.
Is it just me, or am I the only one who absolutely loved the Wood Carved version of the Logo and the Shower Poster? Legit some of my favorite promotional material ever made.
0:58 “Jason, you can’t fight him”
The first picture in the franchise to introduce the Mask.
The trailer-making studio who made this must've loved that TITLE CARRRRDDD
James, is that you?
To those who don't know, originally this film was supposed to be about Ginny at the hospital like how we saw here being put in the ambulance in the end of Part 2 and while at the hospital, Jason had hunted her down. They abandoned this idea because they realize Jason chasing Ginny in the hospital would've been too similar to Michael Myers trying to kill Laurie Strode in Halloween II. And it was supposed to be revealed that Jason did indeed kill Paul since the movies never revealed that when Ginny was asking where is he at the end of Part 2. As interesting as it would've been to see Jason causing a murder spree in a hospital, we wouldn't have gotten to see him wear his trademark hockey mask.
I'd prefer that idea
I finished watching the movie last night for the first time. I could tell by the way some scenes begin were intended for the 3D effect: *Juggling and the Yo-Yo.*
Can't wait for the new box set too come out in October 13 it's going to be awesome.
Right? Same here I'm going to have a Friday the 13th marathon
Friday the 13th parte 3 Is the most important film in whole history.
I remember watching this when it premiered on HBO.
Me too! All summer long!
I remember watching this in 2014 or15 on Friday the 13th till 12 midnight don’t wanna take a bath
I saw it at the theater when I was 11. I bought the 3 d glasses at the gas station for I think .25. I then snuck in and watched. Best movie ever
My first ever 3D movie. I never understood why 3D didn't take off for another 25 years.
3D comes and goes in waves every 30 years. It started in the 50’s, was revived in the 80’s and has been revived to somewhat more success in the 2010’s.
Certainly my favorite in the franchise.
For many of those who don't know this: that pretty girl who played Debbie in this sequel would go on to testify as a reporter in the OJ Simpson murder trial. It felt like a damn Jason movie when she took the stand!!!
The epic mask has born
Im ready
Just bought the Blu Ray edition release at Big Lots. Best purchase I ever made 👍
shout?
First time I saw this was with my mom and my brother back in the mid-80s when it came on what are the local stations and it was funny scary my brother had nightmares all night LOL I didn't sleep a wink but we begged our mom to watch it and we learned our lessons really LOL great memories
Get 'em Jason!👍
Just sitting here waiting for my Friday the 13th deluxe set with limited Lithograph and Poster 😊
October 13th will get here before you know it!
To finally watch it in true 3d and corrected, been waiting forever for this. So excited! I owned both the anaglyph versions and they had terrible effect. I even owned a DVD version of an 80's disc player called VHD field sequential 3D. That had a great effect but video quality looked like vhs
I was MAD af in 5th grade when he arrowed the ❤️Beauty❤️
I still feel the same watching this.😂😂😂
it's crazy that every friday the 13th movie have a new director, screen writer and producer but they all turned out to be good :P
Steve Miner directed both Parts 2 and 3.
They aren’t all good but they’re all entertaining at least, iconic and have that novelty of being iconic
7-10 are horrible.
@@travzimmerman1340 part 7 was the must original of the films, and had a very good ending that should be the end of Jason for good.
Drink water for how many times he said Friday the 13th part 3, in 3d
My stomach can’t take no more
I'm glad that (most of) part 2-4 all occurred roughly in a week of each other. I think after he got revenge from Alice he murdered more than 30 people during that span.
I ordered my box set late July!!! I wasn't taking any chances LOL I can't wait for October 13th!!!
Can’t wait for the new 3-D version! Can’t wait for the box set!!!
Can't wait till this comes out 🔥
Man you missed it by 40 years
added to watch it on halloween.
Same dont understand why it is so underrated cos this is where he become real jason ie hockey mask
Good b film. 80's style.
Best FT13TH Movie
0:38-0:39 I feel bad for the girl when that boy kept hitting her with a yo yo
Along with Jamie Lee Curtis, Dana Kimmell is my all-time favorite final girl. Absolutely love her in this movie.
I was 7 years old when my brother & sister took me to see this movie! Scared me and I love every bit of it! I wish I would've kept those 3-D glasses tho.😂😂😎😎
You were a lucky kid to have your Brother & Sister to take you to see Friday the 13th 3,I was 10 when Friday 13th 3 came out & I had no one.
The movie must have scared the hell out of that 7 year old kid!
Someone countdown in Jason woods in 2022
Friday The 13th best terror film.
First one with the hockey mask
So many great memories in this trailer. I needed a good laugh 😃 😀 😅😊
Did I just watch the whole movie? 🤣
The end when Jason’s looking at her from the upstairs window then comes out running towards her……scary 😱
That’s my favorite movie
the original mask was born
Seen it numerous times, just seen it in the theater for the 1st time
My favorite in the franchise
RIP Richard Brooker
This was when jason was introduced
he was introduced in part 2, however he didnt have his iconic mask and only had one machete kill.
@@danieltp478 Actually he was introduced at the end of part 1.
@@chrisvalenzuela3792
Actually he wasnt. That was a just a dream sequence. It never happened. Jason would've been in his 30s during the events of part one.
@@danieltp478 he had 2 machete kills he cut Scott's throat hanging in the snare with it & then he slammed the machete is Mark's face , my my Jason why did you kill someone in a wheelchair
posiblemente mi favorito de la franquicia, me encanta todo sobre este!
Sorry Jack, Jason’s back!

Part 4 was my absolute favorite the hot twins!
How was this in 3D, for anyone that saw this in the theater? Interested in how 3D was back then.
It was bad 3D back then,
This was the best 3D EVER! Had the privilege of seeing it at an arts theater in early 2000s. Had already seen it a number of times in 2D before that. Completely different movie in the in 3D. It wasn't just the obvious stuff being thrown in your face, which was still amazing. Things in the background and foreground were in your peripheral vision as well. Blood, machetes, bodies, and glass being thrown in your face. People in the theater, both young and old, were ducking, dodging, ooing and ahhing the whole time! Icing on the cake was the eyeball scene. I had heard from my cousins, who saw in 1982, that everyone turned away from the screen because it was that effective. Fast forward to when I saw it in 2000s. I knew exactly when it was coming, and it felt like the eyeball bounced off my face into my lap! A completely surreal movie experience. Friday 3 took 3 months to film compared to the other early entries, which only took 1 month. It was because the 3D was so technical, it was that tough to film. Anyone who tells you that the 3D was bad did not see the proper version, or is simply lying there asses off. This was the very first 3D movie in which the glasses were polarized, not red and blue lenses. They still have the red and blue glasses for the Blu Ray's and DVDs, in which you have to strain your eyes to even get a 3rd of the 3D effect. Not even close to being the same. Sincerely, from a top 10 Friday the 13th
fan!
@@davidmaez7253 You obviously didn't see it through the polarized 3D glasses, not the red and blue ones, as it is regarded as the best 3D movie ever!
@@chrisvalenzuela3792 I saw it when I was 14 in 1982. So the 3-D back then was horrible. So I didn't see it with today's technology. And the best 3-D movie I saw was Avatar.
Muy buena, la vi el otro día! 👌
Fun fact: Friday the 13th Part III was the first Friday the 13th movie to be released on Friday the 13th.
This was the best one to me
I can't believe they showed his mask in the trailer.
What’s this film called?
Random trivia: The day this movie opened, it knocked E.T. out of the number one spot at the box office.

They actually gave away the reveal of what Jason looks like in the pt 2 trailer and this trailer as well with the hockey mask? That's a jones!!😢

0:20- This is the grossest Crystal Lake has ever looked. I'm just assuming there's dead things in there.
0:30- Right? That means tomorrow is Saturday the 14th, where it's gonna get really annoying.
0:34- Yes, I know. You're overexplaining things!
0:40- "3 though, is the 3rd number, and the 3rd movie in the series, and in the 3rd dimension, which unlike the 2nd dimension, it's deadlier, as an ax will come off the screen. That's just science."
1:04- SOMEONE hasn't seen the movie yet. That's the final girl.
1:16- Jason I can deal with, but what if Shelly's pranks cross over into the real world? He does this before I've had my coffee!
1:45- What? The counting from the first 2 movies' trailers is starting over! Is this even the same counting continuity of the 2nd film, or is it a counting reboot?
2:08- Not only does it open on Friday the 13th, but you can also watch it with Jason in the woods, until he actually does shoot your eye out.
We got a one up on ya Death Valley.
Alguien de acuerdo q esto es para verlo la noche de halloween 🎃??
Why did it always have to be the same story - young people at a camp?
3D in the 80,s?
The film title appear 4 times
Did this trailer reveal too much?
Friday the 13th part 3 in 3d
Hey, everyone!
I wrote a short "connective tissue" piece that leads up to Jason getting the hockey mask. Would anyone like to read it? I'll post it as a reply to this comment.

I feel like they should not have shown him with his mask.
The day before like 10 people were killed. Why would you go to that place ? And the guy was not caught.
How would they know that? They were college kids not from the area and not in the area @ the beginning of the film........In the 80s pre- internet
@@travzimmerman1340 there was still the news and this would have gained some national attention, don’t you think?
Why not? So part 3 could be made, of course. Details....
Lord I hate these body count trailers. WTF were they thinking???
Why did he have to do the Latin Girl Dirty like that with the Harpoon....SMH
