Weight of the rider is huge. My wife and I both have a Varla eagle one. I have only gotten 23 miles out of it. She had never ran it out of range. I took my wolf king gt out with her to do a range test. She got over 40 miles and at least twelve of those were hard riding.
Great video Tim - super informative. Really liked your spotlight on the mfg trap.. interesting details seldom heard by consumers. Keep up your great content!
I never look at the range. That's a useless number that's always exaggerated. I always look at whether it's dual motor or single motor and the max speed. The only other number to look at is the voltage and amps. Other specifications to look at is the tire size, tubeless vs tube, and the IPX rating.
I hate how they always list everything in Amp-h instead of Watt-h, I hate having to figure out what voltage each scooter is running and then having to do the mental math.
it's true....on the Wolf it has a 35ah battery but that's with 72 Volts! That's 2520 Wh!!! Then I compared it to the Segway for example and it's 15Ah but at 36 Volts....but it's really ony 550 Wh....you're right of course...we should all be using Wh :)
Weight definitely makes a difference in range. I am 140lbs and get around 45kms of the suggested 60kms on my Maxbik L9 dual 350w scooter. If I have my Tommy Bahama chair on my back a cooler full of… we’ll say soda pop, at my feet, i’ll get about 35kms range.
I would like to be a part time food delivery rider using an e-scooter. do you think an e-scoot will last this job?? Imean the distance is not far places.??? and what kind of e-scoot is recommended??? the rainproof one.
I'm going to do an experiment...but I think if the distances are short then an Apollo City would work...or longer then an Emove Cruiser...I've reviewed both :)
If your going to max out all the setting I say 1 third so if they say you will get 120kms you will only get 40. On my wolf king gt pro max speed and settings it cutout after 20 kms
sounds like it would be quick and 24.5 Ah is a good sized battery...but a scooter is more than just it's parts...I really can only recommend a scooter that I've ridden :) Share the name and I'll see if I've reviewed it already :) Cheers
I am always considering the range Power without range is worthless in the real world. Battery size and make a minimum of 30 amp 52 plus volts. With that you'll get the range and speed
Awesome unit @dominiquecrenshaw5118, but I don't understand the question. Do you mean how many hours it takes to charge? this would depend on the charger's Amps and level of battery.
oh....if you're riding far in the cold..then no...but maybe if you're going slowly in the warmer weather maybe :) Try it and see :) and let me know how far you get :)
@@TimsElectric with all due respect, it it the proper battery measurement unit. When using A it is important to know battery voltage which is you know........
@@TimsElectric i will like to know your opinion on this; Im upgrading my Xiaomi mi 3 scooter to: AWD system 300w*2, 60v 12ah, 25a*2 controllers. Do you think this is a smart move as opposing to buying a more powerful scooter more expensive. the upgrade costs 400-500dollars and I got the scooter used for 200dollars
it really depends..if the 365 size and ride are ok for you and your environment then it may well be a good idea...but I haven't tried one of the dual motor versions. You could look for a used (dual motor) larger scooter...if that makes sense :)
thanks tim!
thanks for watching Uncle Buck :) :)

that's my experience too...I swear the battery levels don't change when my wife rides her scooter lol :)
Tim thanks for all your hard work and dedication in bringing us all this scooter info! You rock😎🥳
I appreciate that! @Brent Ferrell 😎

@Nico Werschler Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for your kind words :)

Your range outlook seems reasonable. But yes, hills, wind etc. is definitely factors to look at!
thanks Tone :) :)

You sound educated on electric scooters :)
I really was making the video for newbies :)

So like with the range, Can I charge it and the range resets? I believe so but i wanna make sure>
Absolutely @KiddoXo_, charge it back up to 100% and you're back to full range :)

Another. Dounut review or a scooter review?😎
is it a review if there are no donuts? 😎
The more miles you stand, the more pastries you can have.
For sure Mark...it's like science or something :)
