With the Eco advantage, Sasin's air control and gamer's massive mismanagement of multiple multiple megaliths, this is really a case of Team 1 snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
For all Sassin's griping, C4RL170S was doing an awful lot for his team, holding off heavy pressure along that west flank and putting it on Stux. Stux was compaining that the reason he "literally cannot" build an SMD was there was too much pressure from C4RL170S.
For what it's worth, I never said every player played badly. So, hypothetically, if C4rl played well and others didn't, my point still would have stood. Also to be clear, I'm not proud of the griping and don't think it's a good look to get frustrated at teammates like that and try to avoid it. BUT, C4rl basically held left, at best tied there. And, his direct opponent spent 40k mass to rush out a novax, around the same time as my ML. And that novax killed a ton and helped win the game for them. If you stalemate your opponent in land, but the opponent builds a novax, you probably didn't have a great game! That said, he was against 2 acus for a while, and Freedom's was super upgraded. Generally though, yeah, shouldn't gripe during the game! Just take the L and move on. Was just tough because I felt I put everyone in a great position to win, throughout. And I don't like air :D.
@@samasin5565 Constructive criticism is fine. Being overly negative isn't. The difference between the 2 can be in the wording of the message. I think that all you need to do is to word your comments better (more positively, more positive spin) in the future in order to become the sort of player that's a pleasure to play with.
Stux here, and yes, the pressure from Carlitos plus the unexpected double spider from dark grey and sasin earlier on, catching me with my pants down making satellites made it so that an SMD just wasn't in the cards. Also, if you're wondering, I knew the nuke was coming for a long time and didn't bother dodging it because my eco was kinda better off in someone else's hands anyway. My position left me holding the line indefinitely, and not much else.
Gyle, have you considered releasing videos as premiers? This would allow viewers to watch the game together via the chat feature, perhaps taking sides rooting for different teams or picking out plays and making theories. Also, premiers do not show how long the video is, which will lend an air of mystery and tension similar to your attempts a few years ago by having video down time so as not to spoil the ending.
Well Gyle... I've waited 10 months not to watch your videos until I was next badly poorly so here i am with Gout, possible 7 days off and it's time to watch 10 months worth!
What an absolut beast of a game and cast. Great work! 1:00:57 "Team kept bitching" I mean it was his choice. Maximus only suggested to strat the smd and pinged his strats once. Sometimes the sheelds are stronger than you think and with all that AA its hard.
15:31 There was a game Gyle cast on a custom map where the player thought running into the water would save him, but it was too shallow to help, and that water looks really shallow (but apparently isn't). I'm surprised Gyle doesn't focus in on the com going red. Considering how outnumbered he's been, CubeMD did pretty well.
So frustrating when people built hordes of powerful units and then don't send them in, and just leave them hanging around missing the opportunity, getting picked off by air. And worse, when people build experimentals and hordes of units, but not a single anti-air unit to accompany them. Instead they rely on their air player to use their air force to defend their units, which literally NEVER HAPPENS!
I maintain that the single thing you could do to make a team stronger, is to have one member of the team dedicated entirely to spectating and communicating with allies.
About the Megalith that didn't get shot by the Battleship. There was a mechanic in the game at some point in the original game(s) where units partially submerged in the water counted as underwater, making them untargetable by anything but torpedoes. But I'm not sure if that mechanic still exists in FAF....
1:05:15 Can we take a moment to appreciate the amount of T3 mobile shields hugging that fatboy? I think what sealed that game was when the top team won the naval battle on the right. Instead of contesting, the bottom team pulled back to a sensible and defensible position, instead of wasting any further resources on a lost cause. Worse, the top team couldn't even conquer the territory they won for reclaim or mexes. It's a case of knowing when to cut your losses, I thin. A whole bunch of other stuff was going on that I couldn't keep track of, but I think that was part of it.
Mannnnnnnnn, gyle only ever casts games where I'm half asleep and play like my brain is missing a cortex lmao edit: actually it wasn't too bad, I just didn't get to do anything spectacular.
Sasin ctrl+K'd, but the Megalith was in the water, and it has NASTY torpedoes, so it didn't need to ground fire, you can see how it chews through the support commanders.
41:34 "He needs to be put out of his misery" LMAO Felt bad for Gamer9xxx. He had timed that ML rear attack so well. Must have been gutted when it stalled underwater.
9:17 Obligatory reminder to please go back to income, rather than leave it on reclaim -- especially on a map where you just discussed how little reclaim there is.
Eww, Sasin turned so salty towards the end. I really liked his attitude in the beginning, but he's really gotten himself tilted big time. Hasn't bothered scooping up the mass fields, didn't rebuild Mass Extractors. Even if he himself couldn't use the mass in the end, after his build capacity was wiped, the others could still pump out units with overflow. For 900 ranking, CybranCommander did a good job tho.
I don't know how you lost? You had the better eco to begin with, you landed a nuke, took out a player, far better air game, repelled every exp with basically unlimited reclaim to follow, even won navy on the side.. I am truly amazed. But you did play very well imo 😎🤕🥵
@@onkeldunkel665 Cos he mostly kept his air force in defense rather than using it for offense. Tbf he can't see the map as much as spectators like us can.
Whats with people sending out experimental without any mobile AA, was painful to watch gamer repeat it. A few flak and a few T3 AA would have gone a very long way helping those megalith
That's something I've noticed in general - a lot of ground main players do not build any AA units at all and count on Air focus players to defend them, which often ends up with them losing a ton because air players is hitting enemy air player's main air group and leftovers are left vs no AA at all.
@@dracoknight9066 Yeah completely agree, people seem to think having an air player means not having to think about air at all.... I have seen teams lose air and not even build sams then 10 mins later rage at their air player because they are being bombed.
The battleships in late game is a good choice for pink since they're only countered by air force whereas they have air superiority. Also they give some good anti enemy ground experimental coverage, meaning they make pink's base significantly harder to attack. Yes, this might push the enemy into more nukes and artillery, but pink has shown capable of sniping those and that would leave the enemy weak to counter offenses by experimentals. Pink's air superiority is the main issue why it wouldn't have been a good choice for other team, even though denying those resources and the pressure on Pink's ally would have given them more of an advantage than what pink is gaining from it now.
Sasin had air dominance for most of that game, but did nothing with it. No gunship plays, no strat bomber runs until too late, and then badly executed... really wasted a major advantage
48:48 Oof, too many of the same approach in the same place. I predict those resources that went into the megas instead of ASFs is going to lose the game, since the megas didn't get enough done and well get "scoopy scoopied" by the other teeam.
Did light blue do anything? Barely had any units. He just sat there and base built. Didn't even make any T3 arty. Utterly useless, I'd of told him either make yourself useful or transfer your stuff to someone else.
