Agree! Ticket sales were fine in 2007 when it closed. I had a feeling the little mermaid wasn’t going to last long just didn’t have the magic. Since Beauty closed they had a tour and cruise, but nothing will ever live up to the Broadway production:)
Since the UK Tour with Courtney Stapleton came out, I have a feeling that they might revive it based on the UK Tour. The only way I'd expect a professional production to be based on a 2017 production is... to bring it Off-Broadway

One of the biggest mistakes Disney has ever made was to take this off Broadway. Wonderful play. Hope to see the revival very soon.
