0:16 - Why is there an *adapter to* a NACS inlet? This stands out quite a bit and needs to be removed to close this door. Actually, the NACS port should be right in the vehicle without an adapter.

No, it is stainless steel. How it behaves with seawater has to be seen, but I am quite sure Tesla tested that.

I also have a problem with electronically activated doors as it is just another point of failure. even the charge port door, when it fails, is a huge problem. why not make it a manual door like on most BMWs. Push to open and push to close..
