Hi Soph, be careful with the serum. Hydrating serums usually have ingredients in them that are humectants so draw moisture out of what you put on top. Typically they’re made as a additional step that you wear under a moisturiser. If it works and doesn’t dry anything out or affect foundation then it’s all good 👍🏼
I absolutely love Sophie, like LOVEE HER so this is absolutely NO SHADE but, I’m so confused at people using concealer as foundation when at the end of the day, it’s basically applied like foundation and it’s basically the same thing… and if it’s being applied all over the face, then why not just use foundation and like maybe no concealer? Concealer is usually heavier than foundation so in my mind it’s actually a heavier face of makeup when you apply that concealer all over…And I know there’s TONS of people who do this, but Im just wondering if there’s something im missing? Anyone have any thoughts? Again love Sophie and there’s literally nothing she can do wrong haha, but I just want to understand this “no foundation, but tons of concealer” thing. Love you all!
looks like she’s just using the concealer on the undereyes and centre of her face, there’s not much coverage on the outer portion of the face so you can see things like freckles and skin features peeking through and gives a more natural finish. also concealer is more full-coverage than foundation normally so you can use less product for the same effect and doesn’t feel so heavy for no-makeup makeup days. hope this helps :)
I dont know how to explain better but it literally just feel lighter than having even tinted moisturiser especially on the outer area of the face. My concealer pick feels more hydrating and for me it just more fresh looking rather than say a glowy base. And i tend to get more compliment on my makeup when i skip foundation altogether. Just my thoughts though ☺
