Anyone can have Hospice care in their home. Hopefully his best friend or family can be there with him. My mother stayed in my sister's house for hospice care. She lived for only 4 weeks after we brought her home. I'm so sorry for your friend. I feel your pain. Take care.

You, having to keep it together, again, and doing your Job, at the same time, and still keeping your cool, is a testament to the type of person you are. Intestinal Fortitude. 😢😢 this is bringing back so many memories of when my dad passed. As a matter of fact today marks four years since he went into home hospice. I fully understand what you're going through, and what you've been through. I hope you don't lose your spark because of this.

Sarah, you can only do so much, you have done a lot for him and I know he appreciates you and what you have done. So continue with your own life. it looks like they aren't thinking very clearly so just continue with your own life and move on .

Your empathy is commendable, just keep your own mental health in mind as well. Some of the most triggering/destabilizing things for me have involved being interjected back into highly emotional environments that I had little control over.
I don’t have any great advice, but you seem like a smart lady and like you said you will figure it out one way or the other. The unknown is difficult but things have a way or working out and sometimes it comes in ways you don’t expect.

There's a book titled, "Why do bad things happen to good people". The sun rises on the good and the bad, and it rains on both as well. It would be great if cancer only fell on murderers or child molesters and never hit the good people and children. But unfortunately we live in a world that sickness and crime and evil can affect anyone. I have other thoughts on the subject but this isn't the time. You are working through yet another very difficult situation in your life. I can only imagine the deep questions you ask within yourself as to why! And regarding your views going down, unfortunately people in general either only want to see good times and don't want to invest themselves in caring about someone that they only want to be entertained by. That's sad to say, but I think they call that a 'fair weather friend'. This is another life changing situation bringing you to a cross road of decision. My only recommendation is to say, don't make any hasty decisions. I always make a list and write on one side all the reasons why I should do something and on the other side all the reasons I shouldn't do something. And honestly I pray cause God is smarter than me and if I simply ask Him to lead me in making a decision, and then I just wait for things to be revealed, doors to open or close and see what comes to pass. As far as not wanting to camp along, that's wisdom. There are lots of good people in the world but there definitely are lots of evil people as well. I'm glad that you think things through. I am hoping that you'll keep doing videos because I do care what is going on in your life. I'm trusting, on your behalf, that there will be clear answers for you soon. Praying for your friend. I lost my husband to cancer, so I understand. And praying for clear direction for you. ❤

I’m 70 and 3 years ago , I suddenly lost my daughter at age 45. I understand how difficult life can be and I’ve asked myself why at such a young age. We’ll never know. Hugs ❤

Hi Sarah due to Hurricane Beryl and the extreme fallout from it like NO power...no cell service ect. ...got the dirty side of this Hurricane 🌀. I finally 7 days later got power back.
Finally was able to be in a/c and not in heatstroke mode.

Your decision to redirect decision making to his best friend is the right one for all of you, although I'm sure his best friend doesn't like it. It's far easier to be able to blame someone else if you ultimately don't like the decision that was made when it comes time for serious decisions. You definitely do not need that stress and since they both seem to think contrary to you, this will allow them to at least share the burden together. You have been through more than enough already and have shown yourself to be an excellent friend to take the time out of your own life to be there and care for him. I have nothing but respect for what you've done and continue to do.
I first met my best friend in third grade and we have a decade on you. ;-) We are definitely uncommon with that longevity though. My next best friend died a year ago and we were friends for forty years. I still miss him but I am also happy that he doesn't suffer any longer. That's important.
Nobody has the right to expect you to be there when he dies. If you were to make that decision on your own, that would be your decision. You have already been through more than most people will ever go through and nobody deserves getting away from that situation more than you do. You, Sara @WanderingJeepsy are a GOOD PERSON. The only problem with that is there are people who will always push your limits and expect more from you than you want to give. Say your piece then stand your ground.
I hope your friend can get home hospice care. If I had that view, I'd tell them to put my bed on the beach and just stay there until they had to take me away. What better place to choose than there?

You could probably do up a lot of videos, just from there in California, maybe even one on the orchards of Central Valley. If you want to visit Golden Gate Bridge again there’s an old fort underneath the south end of the bridge you might find interesting. And if you have more time, there’s Yosemite and Lake Shasta and I think there’s a cave up by Lake Shasta too.

You Tube for most people is not a job worth doing. You Tube is not a carreer until you are making the amount of money that you would make with a real carreer. In other words, if you're not making $5k a month or more, You Tube is not a carreer. You're living to do You Tube instead of documenting your life as a side gig on You Tube. You make a lot more money on You Tube than I do and I actually offer people something besides entertainment. I teach people how to do things. And even then I make all the money from that on Patreon. After 17 years on You Tube I only make a little over $100 a month on adsense. If not for Patreon I would not be doing this at all. Also, if you are paying these big expensive shops to do your work for you then you can't afford to own a Jeep. Most owners either make LOTS of money and are weekend warriors or they do all the work themselves. You don't even change your own wind shield wipers I bet. I think you need to go back to work. Move into an apartment and start saving again. You're not going to make it on You Tube as far as a "carreer" is concerned. Just being honest sweetie. Not putting you down. I wish you could just ramble around the world doing one video a week and make a hundred grand a year. But without wearing a butt thong and being 23 years old, you're just not going to do it.
