Yh I was defending so well before the update but now I do a stand tackle with my defenders and they miss the ball
I love when people actually analysis gameplay to explain tips as opposed to just showing what to do. Would be great if you did some analysis on viewers gameplay as well... I find that is a great way for people to learn what they’re doing right/wrong.

Midfielders just don’t defend in FIFA 21. Which makes this game unplayable. It’s absolute crap.
Thanks Ovvy. Very helpful. Two of the biggest things I've learned so far in FIFA 21 are 1) Never overcommit, when you do you make it ridiculously easy for your opponent to play the ball into space and get into dangerous areas. 2) The tackle button is TRASH! You're much better off just using jockey and wait until your player takes the ball off of your opponent. Or even as a last resort just using the slide tackle.
Also important to remember not to play with a high line defence - you'll get played in behind so easy. Play 4 or even 3 depth (if you don't have the fastest defenders).

Great video, unrealistic defending. As a former professional coach and ex semi professional player, I am frustrated by the lack of realistic defending on the game.
Defensive line is to high even when set to narrow and deep. Full Backs are always pressing high and often out of position even when set to stay back when attacking. Centre Half that you're not controlling often steps out of position to allow space through the middle or in behind and the game rarely allows you to click on a central or holding midfielder. Don't get me started on the scripted goalkeeping.
EA Sports need to develop more realistic defending like PES rather than a easy to score attacking football game ....
Try conservative interceptions on your full backs. I’ve found that they hold their ground better and don’t press as high.

Why CDMs just watching the ball amd they are not doing nothing to track back when under attack? Never see this kind of defending attitude in the real football. Shame.
It is very easy to find out your mistakes and to tell after what you were suppose to do to avoid them but is very hard for brain to think proper after losing the ball like hell, after opponent's GK saves everything and your GK just dives out of the goal. This rage accumulates and you are not able to think properly... At least, for me is very hard to be disciplinated at this game... I focus, but , eventually, I explode and the only thing which I wanna do is to blow the controller =)).... Yep, this is fifa...
🤣 Exact the same here, I hold it shoot 10 times he blocks, his keeper holds every shot, then he makes a counter attack and boom 0:1...
I'm personally convinced its ea scripting because I'm in a pattern since the game started win 4 games get on verge of next division needing 1 more win and then I loose 4 games in a row and keep repeating the process, this is surely no coincidence??? it is literally a joke and I don't see any point to play because I can trigger runs etc but the players aren't making them and my defenders look to be in good positions to defend oncoming attack but rather than tackle they suddenly run away??? Also when I try to create space with just 1 or 2 defenders in box in my way or get better shooting angle by time I've done it suddenly their box is packed???? How can you explain all this if its not the game what am I doing wrong am I never meant to tackle my opponant or am I just meant to shoot the ball straight into their defender there's no1 supporting my attack in final 3rd even though I'm manually triggering also I have my full backs on stay back I'm not using them to bring the ball out but if I loose ball in midfield suddenly my fullbacks are halfway down the pitch when they are attacking my wings??? I scored a ridulous own goal yesterday I headed ball to clear it and it literally did a power header straight into my own net??? What is all this because I've lost the will to play already this year.

Why did they add cutting animations when switching directions to run 🤦♂️ like it just make a defender 10 times slower and most of them are already slow !
What about when your defenders are actually in a good position but ea make them run away from the ball? Or when your playing a deep back line but your defenders are nowhere to be seen? Or when slow strikers like Harry kane are suddenly Hussain bolt up against a quick cb like Diego Carlos? It's all ea scripting the game is disgusting

Yes i noticed that last reflex from fifa 20 specially when using thiago silva since hes slow i press rt and lt and opponent goes thru me

Same here. I discovered that most of the time LT alone is good enough. LT+RT makes the defender turns slowly.

3:58 the problem is EA dont let you switch to your CDM sometime...
Sometimes I want to switch and can't or the wrong player is being chosen.
right stick helps
you can use right stick and move it in the direction of the player you want instead.

I have found lunge tackling is better and more forgiving if you miss

Use LT + standing tackle only when making the tackle holding LT + RT + tackle worked well on Fifa 20 but now good players will more than likely skim ya on Fifa 21 👍🏼

He used Tele broadcast at 17 with 3-6. Pros use this, you may want to Co-op 20-0 or 20-10

Can anyone tell me how to play a regular season with all the regular players on the team's that they are on in real life. Which mode is that? Just want to play the season against computer AI is that possible in fifa 21

@@Kaizer90000 does it take me though the entire where I get to play all the cups along with the regular a full season worth of games or do I have to play tournament mode. Before you lol at the question I'm a returning player have not played since fifa 2000. This is like a whole new game for me with a ton of options I need a basics guide thanks in advance for like the old school returning players
@@thpq Yeah that’s Career mode / manager mode to be exactly. You pick a team for example Arsenal and you will compete in the premier league, Europa league, EFL cup and the FA cup and you can choose to compete in a pre season tournament.
@@Kaizer90000 hey started career mode as a manager can I just play all the games and not worry about managing the team with no negative impact. I don't want to to sign player or trade them or is it better to play the season as a player. Just asking so I don't spent anytime on it to find out manager requires me to do more than I think and I lose guys right on my team some how. I only picked manager because I seen online comments that kept saying. Don't use player career mode. What do you think am I fine to just leave it in manager mode?

A team would approach you on a loan n buy but as u negotiate n reply u just want your player to loan only the the approach team quit the negotiation. EA need to look into that cause this happens to ALL the approach loan to buy deals. Thnks
Jordan. If you delegate the negotiation and instruct your staff to do only a loan that usually solves the problem.

The promblem also with the game is cdms don’t track back and don’t follow runners even if you point them to Mark in team management! This game is broken last fifa I will ever purchase in my lifetime ! I have played since 2007 ! The game is broken also the amount of tricks oppents due in the box is so arcade like I would love if opponents tried to pass and break my defense like that and not due dumb ass tricks.
So the game is simply to struggle with fucking defense... where is fun in that?
