The exchanges between Renge and Dagashiya are literally the best part of this show(the learning to ride a bike scene), and there's still a ton to like about the entire series and all its characters. There's nothing crazy, controversial, weird, or even exciting at all that happens in the entire series, and yet it somehow stands out as one of the greatest anime series I've ever seen. The characters are all loveable. There's no weird sexual undertones. The themes are simple, but resonate with almost everyone in a deeply comforting and nostalgic way. Its funny! The artwork and character design are great. I found this show because of an odd RUclips recommendation, and I'm so fuckin glad I watched this.
You should check out Barakamon, really similar vibes. Strong characters, idyllic country atmosphere, and packed with both comedy and touching moments, I highly recommend
I love how when Kaede is talking to Renge's older sister, she uses really formal language, but when she notices Renge's coat, she just casually says "sousu ka?", like just the thought of Renge is enough to let her relax a bit
the cutest (friend) relationship is 10000% Candy Store and Renge. That way she just zoomed off to check on Renge, and dat ending, where she teaches her how to ride a bike and she just.. well I don't want to write a essay so just the first sentence.
1:32 this scene with the music in the background makes me feel so overwhelmed and sad. Maybe because I also want to have a person in my life that I can take care of, and one day pass out on the table like that from exhaustion, but I know it’s all going to be worth it because that person is in my life.
Their relationship gives me a sense of warmth. Their bond is just too pure. Non Non Biyori brings calmness in my life. A source of sanity and tranquility in my world full of commotion and noise,
Adore this show..(Kaede best girl for me)...I have been lucky enough to have visited the real life school and candy store on which those in the show are based.
I've seens 100's of animes over 35yrs this one easily makes my top ten. So glad to hear that their will be a season 3 starting in January 2021. Now it just needs an English dub.
I'm not sure an English dub can capture the same cultural nuances. Being this is one of my all-time favorite anime, I don't think I could watch a dubbed version. :)
I usually really like dub so I can focus more on what I’m watching but I’m not sure if a dub could properly adapt this anime, and renge’s va is so unique I’d find it very hard to find someone who can capture the same inflections and feelings that the Japanese va can
A comment of appreciation for nee nee aswell. She may be a klutz but she takes care of everyone too. Don't get me wrong I would fight the world for Renge and Kaede's bond but I love the dynamic between the sisters too.

Haven't watched the 3rd season yet but from the first 2 seasons, I loved the episodes about Renge and Kaede.
