Jay Bellerose: we love U, man!!! You changed the way I approach the drums and spending one summer afternoon with you was one of the blessings of my life. Paula: amazing then, amazing now. What a voice, what a powerhouse, such deep songs. Soooo great to see this live material. I wish I could have experienced this band live, way back in the days. Pop music the way it was meant...
I just stumbled on this in 2023 (in Canada). I was there (in Washington, DC, USA, 1997) ! I still remember it! And I'm still listening to Paula! :) Thanks for posting!!!
I had resigned myself to a world without much documentation of this PEAK singer-songwriter's key live band, but here you are with this amazing upload... thank you, thank you, a million times. Paula and band saved and affirmed and reaffirmed my life so many times over!

This setlist is amazing! When I look at it, I feel that there are many songs from the first album "Harbinger". After all, she has brought her extraordinary self to this debut album. Even when I listen to the CD now, the sound quality is great, right? This is by far my favorite of her works. This month, her second album ``This Fire'' will be released on vinyl for the first time, and I would like to hear ``Harbinger'' on vinyl as soon as possible.
Amazing set list! I've seen Paula Cole in concert several times through the years. The first time I saw her was at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas. It was a surprise to hear her sing "Jolene," and it was incredible!! Her second album "This Fire" was released in October 1996; I'm not sure if she had already won her Grammy at the time of this concert, but her first two albums contain some of her very best songs, in my opinion.
This show is intense,awe-inspiring,amazing! So many highlights, just watch the whole thing! BTW,Paula is still all that in 2024,incredible artist, love her!!! ...Holy,just realized Paula broke the Piano at the finlae of "Throwing Stones",this show was epic!
I’ve loved Paula and her awesome art since discovering her early in her career. This particular concert reminds me of the pure fire of her passion as a live performer … she held nothing back and permeated her audience with the raw emotions of each of her autobiographical numbers. She was the Joni Mitchell of her generation … and I carry both of them in the deep recesses of my being from here to eternity.
5 minutes in and Paula is one of the exceptions that sound live just as good as on the studio recording - if not better. Thanks for sharing this concert in this great quality. I have discovered her too late to have witnessed any concerts from the early albums, so I can relive them somewhat now thanks to people like you
Just as how prolific her talent for playing various musical instruments is, her astonishing use of her own instrument, her powerful voice. My God, had she gone the predictable Pop direction in the 90s belting out power ballads to rival the Celine's, Mariah or Whitney's in their heyday, she would've shine more brighter than all of them because she wrote, played instruments and produced. Not the kind that Lauryn Hill all credited herself with (❤️that album btw) but this one actually did EVERYTHING. But alas in the manufactured politicized corporate world of the music industry, it wasn't meant to be. Proving that marketing supercedes talent however astonishing it may be. Madonna got that right ❤️her too. I've been a longtime fan but this is the first full length concert I've ever seen of Paula and I really appreciate this very much as if it were only yesterday. Thank you very much 🥰
I've owned Paula Cole's CD, This Fire since 1996 and never seen her in concert. This is a real treat for me. Paula is my Lady. Absolutely love her. Always have.
I saw her on this tour (I’m pretty sure it was the same tour, This Fire had been out for a few months), best show I think I’ve ever seen. She left everything she had on the stage. The show we saw was rescheduled because she had been ill, and I don’t wanna Wait had become a big hit by that point. The show was packed. It was great to see such an amazing artist have success. And Jay Bellerose was really powerful live, so happy that he has had a good career since then.
Paula Cole, One of the 90s female singer - songwriter-musician who wrote songs largely about LIFE, not the usual girl- sings about her boyfriend formula!
I saw Paula in concert somewhere around this year, in West Palm Beach, FL. Very intense singer, really enjoyed the concert. If I remember correctly, her Tamborine shed it's parts during one of the songs. Too cool.
I’ve seen Paula several times in NYC during the past few years. I absolutely adore her. Such a powerhouse singer and an emotionally charged songwriter. I wish I had seen her during this period. So intensely beautiful 🔥❤️
Excellent video. It doesn’t get any better than Paula’s performance of Where Have All The Cowboys Gone. Rock at its finest. Two thumbs up. Thanks for sharing. I miss the ‘90s.
@@andrewtupper2722 I was 27 years old and w/ this girl I was dating, and we were bumping and grinding to this song, at this show. It was just incredible. Now at 54 w/ the technology of today I can go back and re-live this.. lol.

One of the rare performers that can bring tears to my eyes.
An incredible beautiful voice. A great songwriter. Found her when she sang for Peter Gabriel's Secret World tour.
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing and bringing back these early Paula Cole memories 🎶

Very amazing. She is full of power and emotion on stage. Angry, sadness ect. everything feels real. Must be very intense to be in the audience.
I was at this show. I went kicking and screaming. Didn't want to see the lady that sang the "cowboy" song. I left totally in love w/ Paula.

I saw Paula live when she opened for Sting and have loved her music ever since...amazing.
Being at this show I remember it clearly, when she sang Feelin' Love I was in love.
