Did this talented young lady dye her hair? Wasn’t she a brunette before? More importantly, Morgan (is that right?), I swear, is better than she was just a month ago. Her voice is powerful and always in pitch - and her stage presence is on point! I hope she’s able to pursue blues-based rock rather than the auto-tuned pop Princess path. There are openings in this world for vocalists like Miley Cyrus (who doesn’t need rock songs to succeed but “rock songs” could really use her. I’m a big and deep music fan and, IMHO and FWIW, I’d ask Morgan to consider performing some of the deeper cuts of female rockers for future shows (my daughter formed her own side band to her House Band when she wanted to play heavier guitar-based songs AND she also formed an acoustic duo that played weekends at local restaurants and clubs - they were very popular because the vocalist had a strong distinctive voice (like Morgan) and my daughter could really rock her acoustic-electric guitar so they were still able to play rockers and not “easy listening”). She also made quite a bit of cash that allowed her to buy all her books in prep for college). Check out deep cuts from Joan Jett (“Little Liar”), Amy Winehouse, AudioSlave (“Like A Stone”), Annie Lennox, PJ Harvey, Liz Phair, Halestorm, 10,000 Maniacs, etc. Sorry if this is too much! I’ve got 3 daughters and 2 granddaughters so I’m all about young women taking the world by storm with their talent - whatever that may be! You’ve got an edge, Morgan. Oh yes, I did dye my hair!! it is still brunette in most parts but there's blue and blonde now. I agree, i definitely prefer 70s-80s rock music MUCH more than the princess pop. Houseband does have a setlist, so unfortunately we can't play all the songs we would like to. But I will definitely look into the artists you recommended! I love amy winehouse and joan jett!! I don't really enjoy miley cyrus though
@ Yeah, I’m not a big fan of Miley Cyrus but if she went the rock route I’d be very happy. I’ve heard her sing with her rock voice on covers and it’s made for that genre. Same with Lady Gaga (another artist I don’t listen to). Have you heard her do Moth To The Flame with Metallica from about 3-4 years ago? I remember the SoR set lists. Today I watch a lot of SoR live performances and I see the same songs (with some exceptions) over and over. PS - Your hair, either color (or colors) suits you. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t losing my mind! 😬
