Currents - Living in Tragedy (Live in Manchester, 9 February 2024)

this turned out to be one of the best gigs I've been to. while I had no idea who the openers were (except for sentinels who I've seen live before - i heavily appreciate the talent, but it's not my personal cup of tea), oceans ate alaska absolutely DESTROYED IT. especially with their new vocalist, who is from Manchester himself. (he's also attractive as hell, but that's beside the point)
I also have to give credit to being as an ocean. despite not being my favourite act of the night, they've had to have a female vocalist fill in for their lead vocalist. she learned all of the songs on the set in FOUR DAYS. that's commitment right there.
what a night. an absolute treasure.
