I like to use these to encourage deep root growth for my plants. I usually put them all the way to the bulb and water the plant till the soil is saturated and that usually gets the roots growing after planting, then as the soil dries out the roots chase the moisture deeper to the depth where i put the bulb, and thus far, my potted plants love it
Thank you for this just got some cheap plastic ones could not get water in till saw your video hope faucet water doesn't kill my plants hard water here in Texas
Is there a list somewhere that has all the plants these are good for? I've been looking but I can't find any. I have several different plants that all require different frequencies of being watered and I don't know which ones these would be useful for.
Thank you for this video. I was not at all sure how to use these bulbs that I just ordered. I think I have been vacillating between over and under watering.
I have a couple of succulent arrangements in very wide and shallow pots. The nursery pots are very hard to remove from the cache pots, so I don’t like how to water these. Would these globes do the trick?
Nuthin wrong with the word moist! Can describe a few things that come to mind. Thanks for this video on globes/orbs! I picked some up at Dollar General to give a try. Cheerz!
Here is a Hack get the plastic ones drill hole in top to fit a drip line in hole have watering source come on once a week for a couple of minutes to drip into globe, get your timing down and you should never have to fill again especially for indoor plants that will not see rain or the drippers over water smaller plants ending up in a mess if placed directly on the plant soil surface. Globe then becomes a great time saver once set up.
HOW do you fill these things, directly under the tap aint working for my new set. this is craziness bought a funnel hopefully that works. I dont have time to set at sink 5 min at a time.
Im using this globes because I have a really bad problem with this little bugs , or flies you named! People say is because u used too much water! I just hope this can help 😕
I saw reviews online of some people saying it would immediately drain the whole thing when they put it in and others said that would happen unless they put it in correctly… what’s correctly? I’m going on a 2 week trip and buying them as backup for the pet sitter who will also be caring for them intermittently
If the soil is too loosely packed it may drain too quickly. If the orb is firmly seated in the soil it should not drain immediately. It took a bit of practice for me to find the right balance.
Same question. I’m thinking my succulents may prefer top watering & being flooded. They don’t seem to care too much for bottom watering. I read/hear they like for their soil to drain water so idk about the stake
I wish you’d tell us which plants need this type watering. And, do you have you sell for Amazon? They practically own the whole world, it seems. 😬Let’s patronize other businesses-maybe some that pay their fair share of taxes and have great ethics.

Apollo Which type of plants would this be beneficial for? All of my plants like to be dried out before watering
Its 6 in the morning and you've already hit me with the word moist multiple times lol
You’re welcome
I work in labor and delivery. We all hate that word🤣😂🤣🤣
u know u like it!!!
At least he made an effort to avoid saying doo-doo with "what it doesn't do and what it .. will work for"
LMAO
Great job. I'm going to use these for my mothers plants that I'm taking to the cemetery this weekend. Fingers crossed.
Finally my watering globes don't clog anymore, thank you!

It works great with potted citrus trees that like damp but not soggy soil. I need three for the size of my tree until I can get it established.
Can also fill them by submerging them in water. Probably less tedious than using the faucet.
Could you make a video on common houseplants that like to stay consistently moist or houseplants that like the flood and dry method.
Are they any good with starting seeds? I'm looking to plant Pomegranate seeds.
Very informative, thanks for making this vid. I am learning something new
HAHAH at the word MOIST! Never thought about it getting clogged and using a pencil to keep that from happening! Thanks!
You’re welcome!
Least he didn't say do do
Thanks. Just started using them on my herbs.

First time using a water globe,
I placed one in a plant with the soil feeling moist and the globe emptied out within an hour…What am I doing wrong?
They’re great for watering that one aloe Vera without stabbing myself a dozen times.😅
How do you slow the drip?? I’ve attempted plugging it and still empties, floods my plants within the hour of planting

Thanks, I have a potted plant that is not near a water source to integrate into a drip system. The globe should work fine
Sound ideal for ferns

I am going on holiday for two weeks and wondering if these will keep them watered til I'm back. Can Anyone advise if they are good for this?
DId you figure it out?
Why have you put one of these in your lavender’s pot? Do they not prefer dry?
I’m asking because I’ve just gotten my first.
Lavender plants prefer well drained soil
For longer water endurance in a pot, multiple globes can be used.
Do you know if they would work well on 🍅tomato plants for a week?
Depends on the size of the tomato plant, but probably.
Super helpful
Do you suggest globing Monsteras?
I find them really hard to fill. Do you have any suggestions to make them easier to fill?
I just turn my faucet on very low & it goes right in!
Fill a large container and submerge them….like putting a water gun in a pail of water
Als de bol na 1 dag leeg is dan gelijk weer vullen met water??

Would you recommend this for succulents?
Same question. I’m thinking my succulents may prefer top watering & being flooded. They don’t seem to care too much for bottom watering. I read/hear they like for their soil to drain water so idk about the stake
so would it be a bad idea if I use one of these with my cacti?
I'd say it might nor be the best as most succulents prefer to be submerged in water rather then have damp soil, sand ect
Do you think this would be beneficial for orchids? Thanks in advance
I have one in my orchid, it’s been there for 2 years & the plant is growing like crazy!
Kristy Dee, any idea how this would pair with a Venus fly trap - Seems novel & aesthetically appealing !
Can this be useful for carnivorous sundews?
Hi, can these be used for indoor plants such a ferns and spider plants?
Yes. Definitely.
Would this work with cannabis plants?
Do i still need to water my plant if the globe is still filled with water?
Following
.
Thank you

Love this blondie
10 people hate the word “moist”.
What would a Venus Fly Trap reveal from this method ?
Venus fly traps need barely any water because they get there nutrients from eating
venus fly traps prefer bottled water
A week is a long Vacation.
Well for me ,they only last few days ! Not weeks!
When you've got a lot of plants it's even more unfeasible.
These r a pain to fill.. not worth the frustration
I think they are useless.
куда-то закатилась за шкаф цель канала чтоли?... ладно пока удачи
Nah for asmr
:D
