Great video with great tips. The "pushing the foot" tip was a keeper for sure. Stoked you are using the Grill Mount mouth mount for the filming. About sharing it - I designed the Grill Mount so that you can reheat the EVA tabs almost forever and remold them so it's easy to share. If you are sharing the Grill Mount, simply put the EVA tabs in the boiling water, which also sanitizes it and then mold it to who ever is using it. Then reheat and remold when you get it back. That way you both get the more relaxing locked in fit and all the balance and power benefits of the molded fit. When you have a molded mouth guard / mouth mount, high performance sports research has shown you have 20% better balance and a vast increase in power as well as protection from concussions. You can also flip the mount so the camera is up and mold it to fit perfectly that way as well. Anyway, enough of my design guy rambling, keep posting the great videos. Thanks Ken
Just a thought, I had a neck fusion a few years back and was in plenty of pain. And still do at times if I over do it. I purchased a Ergo Vest for the days I suffer a little bit from the neck injury and on my recovery from my neck fusion i used it all the time. I also live in the tropics and dont wear any tops, but will wear this if I have to which gives me much relief surfing and no follow up injuries. When Im traveling well again, I dont wear it. Just a thought. It makes a hell of a difference. Good luck with the recovery.
So stoked to see you back on the water! I'm stuck in Colorado studying physical therapy, but I'll be back in Hawaii in ten days. I can't wait, but these videos help me stay sane
over the summer I came down on my board and tore a fin out with my leg, cracked the fin box and put a little hole in the board, you reminded me of that when you said you'll lose the fin if it falls in lol I searched for a while before giving up... I was bummed to lose it but life goes on and stuff happens. You guys be careful out there, love the videos keep up the good work
Good to see you all surfing together in such nice waves. Had to laugh - my mom & dad were from the era of big bands, Bing Crosby, etc. & my mom would call my dad Daddy-O! Nice inadvertent memory trigger - thanks!
Our pleasure. I was thinking about the the original Back to the Future when i wrote it. When marty called his younger dad Dad then turned it to Daddy-o
Don't know if you've covered this but can you talk a bit about your location in Costa Rica, and the weather etc.? I'm just discovering Costa Rica from here in Texas, it's a reasonable flight in the same time zone. Tamarindo seems to be the most common surf destination. Stoked!
No idea when I'll be on a surfable coast next but these nice little intimate sessions will tide me over the winter hopefully. :) Lot's of nice clips in there, especially enjoyed the right back to shore at the end. :D
Sorry for your injury, hope u get well soon! Did you try physical/Natural therapy with massages to get rid of the pain or is it connected to the back cord?
I got really bad whiplash one time. it really helped me to go to chiropractor and massage the injured area. Have total compassion but it does get better especially when you take good care of the injury
this was truly your best vid in a long time! keep up the good work, fun to see you all together could you make a video on board choosing? including prices companies and sizes
Great video, as usual. Real good to see you back out there. Nice to see the groms waited for you to paddle out or maybe they weren't sure you were going to make it. haha. Just kidding Daddy-O. I got nothing but respect.
Hey! I've been surfing for quite a while now and have moved to a 5"11 surfboard last year but I am only small. I'm 13 and 5"5 i weigh 105 pounds and I don't know if I should change to a shorter board. My board is easyish to duck dive but if I don't put enough effort into the dive I can get wiped out. When I'm on a wave it's fine if its fine size but can be a bit laggy. Any advice?
hello I am a recent subscriber who just started surf about 3 weeks ago, quick question everytime I got out (once every 2-3 days) my eyes become very sour from the salt water how long did it take you to get use to that cause I feel like that is the reason I am only out in the water for about 20 minutes.
By far, the best episode I've seen on your channel yet!. MORE PLEASE! Its December and you guys are in shorts and tops. How warm/cold is the water over there on average? I suppose you guys don't have to wear a wetsuit all year round. Thanks! - Lawrence
Please help! I just moved back to florida and went surfing yesterday. My board is a pin tail it's 5'3 thick and wide and I'm only 5'1. I had such a hard time. The board just seems so big. I literally couldn't turn down line in fact I would just get pushed strait. Is it he board or my skill? Please help!
What level? advanced you can go say 6,5-6,8 shortboard or fish with proper volume. intermediate i would say you would have to go start around 6,8 fish or go up to a 7,6-8,0 mini mal. Beginner you want to get a longboard. Very rough guide without any info
hi, your spot is amazing and i want to know where it is?! (if it's a secret spot you can keep the secretXD) but i'm french and this landscape is very exotic so... thank's four your responce
Our dimensions constantly change, best bet is to check out some online board/volume calculators at the big name brand surfboard companies to find you size.
Don't got a clue about surfing, don't even know how i got here, buuuut nonetheless i found it interesting to watch a commentated surfing session! Now i something about fins, ha! :D EDIT: Oh i came over from a couple of yoga videos, haha xD
On a short board you have to keep your weight forward to ride the small white water all the way in. Holding the nose keeps a little extra weight forward
I love to see all three of you in the water!
thanks, we will get some sessions like that
yeah me too and if you can can you like my comment
Great to see you back on the board again.............
thanks
Looks like it was a gorgeous day to be out on the water!
Favorite video style yet. Do more like this with you all three of you in the water!
yah for sure, thanks
Great video with great tips. The "pushing the foot" tip was a keeper for sure.

you should definitely do more of these videos because it is great to see all 3 of you in the water.
Okie, thanks. will get more for sure

Sweet. You going to be watching the pipemasters?
Maybe, depending on the swell I'll probably be surfing somewhere else. Ever think about taking the groms to O'ahu?
Omg finally. It felt like an eternity
Hehe, nice to know someone is eager to watch our vids. Keeps us motivated. Thanks
Back on the board!
Ho Stevie! Hey dude, love your stuff
Thanks so much!
Yes indeed.

Sorry for your injury, hope u get well soon! Did you try physical/Natural therapy with massages to get rid of the pain or is it connected to the back cord?
Hey! I really like your vids! 😍
may I ask why you wear always sunglasses in your vlogs?!
You should probably arch your back or go a tiny bit further back because your is the water which was slowing u down
I got really bad whiplash one time. it really helped me to go to chiropractor and massage the injured area. Have total compassion but it does get better especially when you take good care of the injury
Thanks for the tips
iSURFTRIBE aww ^U^, I'm glad if it helps :)
You should do more of these videos
Can you guys post of video of a full paddle out? I've always been curious to see how long it actually takes to get to the outside at your spot.
depends on surf spot and size of waves that day
Hey ISURFTRIBE love your vids

this was truly your best vid in a long time! keep up the good work, fun to see you all together

Great video, as usual. Real good to see you back out there. Nice to see the groms waited for you to paddle out or maybe they weren't sure you were going to make it. haha. Just kidding Daddy-O. I got nothing but respect.
When you first have kids they make you feel old, then later they keep you young
Your very lucky as are they.

they're southern so now it summer
Costa Rica is north of the equator, so officially it's 'winter' there.
Not sure the official season, but all the local refer to December-April the rainy season and summer (Verano)
What volume board do you think I should use if I'm an intermediate surfer, I'm 5'9" and 150 lbs?
some great volume calculators onine at the big name brand surfboard websites
Please help! I just moved back to florida and went surfing yesterday. My board is a pin tail it's 5'3 thick and wide and I'm only 5'1. I had such a hard time. The board just seems so big. Like these videos keep em coming
Mo'e is back!!
hopefully for a while, thanks
You make it look easy. If a guy is 235 lbs. how big a board would you go?
What level? advanced you can go say 6,5-6,8 shortboard or fish with proper volume. intermediate i would say you would have to go start around 6,8 fish or go up to a 7,6-8,0 mini mal. Beginner you want to get a longboard. Very rough guide without any info
I've surfed a handful of times, but I'm a newb.
Where about do you guys live ??
hi, your spot is amazing and i want to know where it is?! (if it's a secret spot you can keep the secretXD) but i'm french and this landscape is very exotic so... thank's four your responce

Can you please do a tutorial on how to do a snap
On your website can you put things that will fit children like me 9 years old
Hello isurftribe. I just wondering what board is suitable with me. Im 177cm and 70kg. Can i know what atua, killi, and moe board dimension?
Our dimensions constantly change, best bet is to check out some online board/volume calculators at the big name brand surfboard companies to find you size.
What size board does attua ride im about his size
Don't got a clue about surfing, don't even know how i got here, buuuut nonetheless i found it interesting to watch a commentated surfing session! Now i something about fins, ha! :D
EDIT: Oh i came over from a couple of yoga videos, haha xD
where is that
God bless your family ..aloha🤙
You are such an good surfer you should go pro
Super cool fun video :)
Like :)
Cool video 😝👍🏻✌🏻
thanks
man, I like your sistei!, the boys sister!
What mouth mount do you use? I need one for my hero 1
This video was shot with the prostandard mouth mount. Do a search they come right up
Why do you always cover the tip when you ride in at the end
On a short board you have to keep your weight forward to ride the small white water all the way in. Holding the nose keeps a little extra weight forward
And so u don’t poke anyone
Do more
Yes indeed, thanks
There are no barrels so no floters
I don't think kilis foot is on the stompad enough
kiili is so cute
Arent you guys afraid of sharks
_50k sharks attacks are pretty unlikely
I am new to surfing aren't you afraid that a shark will come
How about doing some analytical narrative videos of pro surfers for those of us trying to get beyond intermediate.
Shorty YES!!! Great idea!
Tell ki'ili to put her foot farther back on the pad
can you speak a little louder it would be great if you could 👍👍
Can you please do a tutorial on how to do a snap
