The ideal thing to do is to hardwire the extender to your main router, making it an "access point." Keep in mind, the distance of the extender should be halfway between the router and dead zone.

@@QuraiRyu I went with a 5 port router asus x1800. wired from PC to link1. tried all the prebuilt configs via the browser until wifi extender worked. created new ssd, had nvidia connect to that. i can cast my streams 😃
