Cycle X is THE place when it comes to getting parts for a sohc cb750. Kenny is a class act and hooked it up for my turbo billet block cb750 build.
I finally dug my 72 cb750 out. I’ve never built a motorcycle engine and I’m super excited to get started.
Update?
I HAVE A 1976 CB750 AUTO IT HAS BEEN SITTING OVER 20 YEARS AND I WOULD LOVE IT RUNNING AGAIN!!!
THANK YOU, I HOPE TO STAY IN CONTACT ABOUT MY BIKE IF IT'S OK
Get it on the road!
Looks like Cycle X does really good work. Impressive packaging for shipping as well.
They do for sure. Fast turn around also. I have a lot of boxes for xmas presents now.
Super Pro Parts Tip:
Don't take it out of the bag! As a person who works with parts all day I appreciate you saying that.
Yeah, just wish aftermarket gaskets kits would bag each oring etc individually and put an oem ref number on it.
@@HTMR now that's asking too much 😛😛😛
Hey bud thank you so so so much for the work you do and the quality videos you put out. You are helping a lot of people out. I am in the process of collecting parts for my CB750 so i can start the build once i have a hand full of parts to keep my weekends tied together and not have to wait on parts. If it's not too much trouble, could you post the the full parts and labor list of everything you discussed in the video. Thank you again for all the good work you do. Cheers bud.
All that will come after rebuild is complete. Maybe in 1-2 months.
I got there charging system and there meku carbs fantastic parts
Running cycle x straight shot intake setup on my 550 build. Great if your running cr carbs.
It seems reasonable for the number of goodies, at least I know what to expect from mine now!
Amazing. My 1978 750 F which I still have cost me $2100 cash NEW!
Which is $9.6k today for anyone seeing this😆
Did you buy the oem got kit from them. Or did you just send it in looking for info.
quality machine work is key
Yep.
This is the way its suposed to be!
That's a lot of dough in parts but you sure got some nice stuff there.
Where did you get these? I've been looking for some of these.
Did they do any polishing or porting on the head?
No. This is just a stock rebuild.
What about the starter chain..I had a Nighthawk 750s... regretted not replacing the chain.
No starter chain for the cb750 sohc engine
@@martinquick6091 I missed that.. thanks
@@robvannNS Yeah starter clutch on back side of rotor under left cover.
$2400 isn't bad for everything they did and parts. Add porting and your looking at $3K for a very nice running cb750. Good luck with the build.
Yeah, I didn't want to go down the performance rabbit hole.....port polish, 836 kit, cam, studs...etc...
Did you buy the oem parts, in this vid, from CycleX or another dealer??
Some from cycle x, the other from partzilla
Wish I had the money to get all that for my cL 350
My god a lot of stuff. Intimidating
Where did you buy most of your parts from?
Cycle exchange
I just got my $4500 in work/performance parts from CycleX for my cb750 to 836. Should i make a video? haha....
im sure the people of 'hazelworth' (hazelhurst) are livid. that was so funny.
I stumble my words all the time...nothing new LOL.
I paid $1795 for a complete 750F in 1975. Guess I should have kept it.
Everything was cheaper back then
I just watched 4 commercials to see this video...
Awesome, that means I earned like $0.02.
Really? Out that much $ and you went with cast over forged? Your bike as long as it runs, I just figured for what you paid forged would have been affordable.
Ripped off
$2,400 in parts, ??? Labor.... that bike should have been written off. A perfectly working and extremely neat bike could have been bought for less than what it cost you in parts... it wasn’t worth fixing that bike!!!
A fresh engine will be worth something, don't worry.
I haven't see one of these for $2,400 in any kind of good condition.
@@robertbrandywine Everything I'm "replacing" is typical wear for a 40yr old bike with some miles on it. Don't think just because you find a runner it won't need some work eventually.
@@HTMR Plus, that $2400 isn't for "parts". At least I don't consider machining to be "parts".
@@robertbrandywine $2400 for parts and machine work labor. I also bought duplicates of some stuff like bolts, orings etc.
