So, the break-up was brutal X'D The revelations were eye opening; I guess both of them should not be in a romantic relationship right now. They definitely need some therapy. I'm sad my ship sunk, but at least Akane is alive? Now she can work on herself and become happy?

@@crunchy303 well, Aqua already changed. I think he genuinely tried to love Akane during his brief happy time. But now that he’s gone back to being an avenger, he is forcing Akane away as a means to protect her. He plans to do something not legal at all and he wants himself to be the only one to take the fall for it. Whereas Akane wants to help and share that burden with him, and I don’t think she’s given up yet seeing the latest chapter. I can’t help but root for her to save Aqua. #aquaka forever!

He has a good heart towards the people he cares about so he didn’t want to drag her further into this hell but Akane also knows that so now they are technically trying to save each other…She wants to protect him as much that’s why it’s shown she doesn’t give up. I think she will convince and actually help Aqua at some point. It’s like it’s building up to the moment where they join hands. I like them together but I also like Kana and Aqua too. I just hope there is a way where everyone will be happy at the end

@@Avionixty Nah i would say Kana is the least likely to end up with Aqua out of all of them. She had pretty much zero development with Aqua since chapter 40, i honestly see Kana ending up with Taiki.
@@zamaskowany12 I haven’t read the manga and from the POV of an anime only, kana looks useless once there is akane, and every character needs a purpose. If kana helps a lot with the revenge stuff, then akane actually might come back.

At the end all I can wish for is the safety and happiness for akane

Akane’s gotta be my favourite character from the manga. I love how the writer portrayed the relationship. Although there weren’t romantic feelings, they genuinely cared for each other platonically until their breakup. Although sad, the breakup was understandable when you look at the viewpoints of two characters who want to carry the burden for themselves instead of sharing it
I am pretty sure akane fell in love after some time .. Aqua on the other hand definitely cares for her but the romantic feelings are kept ambiguous

Too good? Her first idea that came to mind when trying to save her boyfriend from depression.. WAS KILLING HIS FUCKING FATHER, she could’ve been there for him, comfort him, when Akane called Aqua it was so obvious that he was not well. I love her and I want her to end up with Aqua but she’s fucked up in the head too, Aqua needs someone who’s at least sane, to tell him revenge is not the way, so I’m sorry for Akane but I think Aqua really needs Kana rn. 😭
The haters blames Akane for impersonating Ai and calling her copycat, well, they totally don't understand that Mem and Yuki are the girls that gave Akane the idea to act as Aqua's perfect girl, she was doing it with hopes it would make a good character for her and could make the reality dating show more interesting, as well as a returning favor for Aqua's kindness towards her.
She wasn't and was never meant to use her acting skill to manipulate or steals Aqua's heart whatsoever, and don't forget that Akane spent her whole week studying, researching, observing, and practising to master Ai's personality with earnestness, which they know that Ai has a very complex personality that Aqua could never understand her.
She was doing it for the sake of the show and as an act of gratitude for what Aqua has done to her, she really showed her sincerity and hardworking characteristic through that story, it's truly sad that many readers cannot appreciate her action even a bit. She deserves better.

For me she is the best. He supports him regardless of whether or not she agrees with his actions and would still accept taking the blame along with him. I finished reading the manga recently and I'm very sad that they don't get together and that the possibility of him staying with Kana is the most likely despite finding her without much charisma in the work. Kana liking Aqua for me was like "???" like, it seems that there was not so much development in their relationship, they meet and she was already liking him. As a person who has already written stories, I prefer a real development than just putting the girl liking the boy.

For me it's several times when I'm giving up on Aqua. Honestly its so bad if he really like Kana. But chose to keep Akane besides because she's useful. But then again he said that she's saving him little by little from his past. So I was hoping to see them together. (POV: Aqua was one of the hardest person to read, bc the author often hide his feelings. When he is with Akane. So we dont know for sure what kind of feelings he has towards Akane)
While I never seem to simp Kana for some reasons. Yeah she's cute, but anything else hmm nope. I kinda see that the author was paving way to Kana to shine and being that person who genuinely like Aqua. But I got irritated by her personality fr. I'm kind amused btw that she trying to get Aqua, but there's always Akane who get all the thing she want. Karma ~ lol. If you all remember its the opposite while Akane was a child.
Ikr. I'll drop the anime if aqua end up with kana in manga. Kana is cute but nothing Else. She always yell or bully or has tantrum toward aqua. Aqua literally said that he was trully happy being with Akane. If you think that was a lie he also tells MEM-Cho that he can't go back to Akane because he has "thrown away the naive thought of being happy". He is so focused on his reveange that he doesn't want to be happy anymore, which is why he broke up with Akane, to not get her involved more into his vengance and descent into hell.
🙂 are you guys really reading manga?. It was obvious that Aqua likes Kana more than anyone else... When Aqua went to Akane talking about making relationship official he was about to break up and Go for Kana instead but before that Akane told him that if he starts dating Kana she will face many problems if people finds out the idol has boyfriend and Aqua remembers what happened with Ai so he got manipulated and chose Akane that time.. 😅and told kana so when mem choo confronted him he said everything why he doesn't want to date Kana because he wants to protect her...mem choo also said that it was Aqua who is obsessed with Kana not the other way around.. And later when Kana caught in a scandal Aqua revealed the the biggest secret of his life to media just to save her and Ruby mentioned that Aqua's first priority was always Ai but not it has changed.. Indicating that he loves Kana... Even Akane mentioned in few chapters that he likes Kana... And talking about last chapter.. He doesn't want Kana to fall in another scandal or something else so he is kinda protecting her by being close to her.. And because he wants revenge now he can't get anyone else involved including Akane so he just want to protect everyone not just Akane he doesn't have romantic feeling for Akane as of now... 😅Also Kana kinda resembles Ai that's why Aqua fall for her

I wanna say alot of thing, but too tired to explain lol. But I can do it once.
1. In the manga we only getting information from characters around Aqua. Nothing has been confirmed about his feelings yet. Because Aqua is one of the most difficult person to read. For me is the author who putting all of this to a misunderstanding thing. So many psychologically moments.
2. When Aqua revealed his secret about Ai. Is due his plan which he could push his sister aside. He knows if he reveals this info, Ruby gonna hate him for sure. So after him endangered himself, Ruby won't feel sad if she lost him. Same time that he could save Kana. I think he would have done the same thing if it's happens with Mem-cho. Aqua always help ppl around, if you noticed.
3. About Kana it's more complicated feelings I think. He surely likes her, but idk if I could call it romantically?? Because when mem-cho thought that Aqua was obsessed with Kana. It's actually her misreading him, at that time Aqua got PTSD. He thought that if he still hanging out with her (as a friend) which he felt comfortable with. When Kana got popular she might face the same fate as Ai. Which he couldn't let that happen.
4. Idk if he even know what is love actually. Past life he's been a doctor. He never getting pure love from his family. Afterlife his mind have been filled up with revenge. No space for romantic feelings. If it's something left is he still care for ppl who are important to him. The list goes: Ruby Akane/Kana the ppl he know.
