- Hello. I have been using waterproof silicone for all my mosaics that I want to put outside. I fill a 10 mil. syringe with the silicone. It has made the process so much easier. In this video I share in real time how I do it. TFW, Sara
Lovely to see you back crafting. I've missed watching my favourite crafter.
Your imagination have any limits
Thanks for share
Great idea ...
Love to hear your voice as you craft…..I banish thee, Self Doubt! Beautiful design on the rock….look forward to seeing your process with the tesserae!
Love watching you create. The rock is going to look great! Hope you film more in the making and we get to see Kiwi’s stepping stone. Stay well and cool.
Looking great Sara, you are right you’re getting better at laying the silicone down, it’s messy stuff. I don’t worry about the divots in the rock unless it’s severe. If you put a piece of tubing over the syringe end it will slow the amount of silicone down further. You can also leave it on and the next day just throw the tubing out and put a new piece of tubing on there as the silicone will set on the end. Just a thought that’s what l do. 😊
Thanks for the tips
I love your videos. You may want to try working on a cake decorating turntable so that you can turn your piece. I find it very helpful.
Always enjoy watching you work and the way you explain your process. Would the silicone act as a leveler for that cross piece? I have also used a syringe, but not with silicone. Would the silicone that got on the plunger glue it to the tube? Thanks Sara.
Hi Donna. The silicone doesn’t stick to the syringe door some reason. Not sure but I think there is a better way to do the leveling. Tfw. Sara
Do you clean the silicone out of the serenge? Or use a new one? 😊
Could you put the stained glass letters on first and than put the ball an chain after?
