Hi. Any idea how I can connect a new remote to this receiver? My remote went out and I got a new universal remote. I need help pairing the new remote. Thanks
I need a help. I am using Pioneer SC LX81. Subwoofer is only getting activated while source is 5.1. I want the subwoofer should get active even in stereo mose also. How can I do that, please share the steps. Thanks in advance.
To reset the VSX-LX303 answer straight from the manual: 1. While pressing the AUTO/DIRECT button on the main unit, press STANDBY/ON. 2. "Clear" is displayed on the display, and the unit returns to the standby state. Do not remove the power cord until "Clear" disappears from the display. To reset the remote controller, while pressing and holding MODE, press the button at least 3 seconds until the remote indicator blinks twice.
Interesting ! It's a little different from mine. My question. If you did a reset, is it because of a problem of sound output? For me, yes. My model is Pioneer 5.1 VSX-325 Since yesterday, I found that the sound did not come out well. And in the early afternoon, I was able to enjoy again the quality of the 5.1, by a reset factory. But I could not know why the sound had lost its quality, and even that the rear speaker did not give anything. Thank you for making this video. It can always be useful for many people.
In your case it sounds like maybe the audio setting could have been changed by accident. If you change it from Dolby Surround to Pure Direct, then only your front speakers (left and right) will work, and the EQ will be turned off as well. Not sure if that's possibly what happened to you. When you set it to pure direct it plays the audio based on the way number of channels in the signal that is being sent. So if you have a 2 channel signal coming in, then only the 2 main speakers will work. If you're watching a movie that is multi channel, then the receiver will play as many of those channels as the signal has in it. This is of course assuming that you have an equal amount of speakers to match the number of channels as the signal that is being sent. To avoid confusion it's probably best to leave the signal processing set to auto surround. That will reproduce the audio in accordance to the specific number of channels in the signal, and will also give you the EQ and other features that the MCACC created.
I tried resetting my SC 55 receiver with no success, however I connected my Cat 5 cable from my router through my switch and to the receiver and ran the update with success! I now have my sound back through my receiver.
Great Help. Have you solved the root cause. Hate having to reset every couple of weeks and re-program to use my app. Is there pioneer app that is more stable then the other?
Pioneer have the worst network receivers and control app. However, to fix network problems there is no need for a full factory reset. You can do a network adapter reset only. While in standby mode, press and hold the power on key on the unit and continue pressing until it turns on then turns off. Continue holding the power button until the message 'power on" appears then it will be turned off. Release and turn it on as usual. Now the internal network adapter is reset but no other data is lost This will fix the network problems until next time A permanent solution is to buy a receiver from another brand such as Yamaha which have much better network capabilities
Will you recommend Pioneer receivers for someone (like me) who just wants to use it for video & audio only? I don't care about using internet nor chromecasting Pandora on the receiver.
Thanks Eli. I have a silver Pioneer SC-2023 (fairly rare model apparently - an Elite without the badge). This worked great to fix Airplay (which often gives us fits). When there are issues with the networking the big switching knob starts to fail as well. Resetting MCAA would be a nightmare so a quick fix to get networking working again is highly welcome. A casual observation - Airplay failed again this time (and I think in the past) when we had Internet radio running. As tuning internet radio is so awkward on a receiver (you usually end up with 64kbps streams, awful), I'll just avoid the internet radio function going forward. We'd been taking it out of the power and leaving it for a few minutes to a day to reset but that's a pain in the neck too.
At least you don't have the Dolby/DTS Chip failure. Mine didn't fail until years after the recall. I didn't know about it. Since Pioneer was bought and merged with Onkyo they put out nothing but garbage. Now there's only a couple original manufacturers left. All the rest are owned by one holding company and their gear is crap. Go with Yamaha!!!
Guys do not buy Pioneer my malfunctioned because of Chips with factory defect and now Pioneer does not want to repair. The technical assistance is terrible, any receiver beyond the Elite Pioneer work better. Any sony, yamaha, denon is better. This is my opinion...
Oh maaaan this IS AWFUL system - WHAT WHY HOW - how could pioneer ever think a system like this is “user friendly”? I am tossing it all out of the house right now at buying an sound bar - OMG
Pioneer sucks!!! after owning a Pioneer AVR that I brought in '98 that still works I wanted to upgrade to 7.2 and 4k and all the other bells and whistles. I thought hey cant go wrong with Pioneer. they still got good reviews online. one year nothing but problems. stay away from there crap
You just saved me the price of a new receiver, thank you sir!!

Do I have to use the setup mic before I can play sound from tv or tuner?
Worked my SC-LX76. Thaks a lot.

does not doing mcaa setup prevent sound from working on my 1021-k unit?
Pff!! Thanks. 🤝🤝 Do you know how to update via the internet? Why I see it some file available to download to a USB
@@DANTESUKER10 connect via WiFi or cable. The update feature is in system settings.
@@RubiconX I tried via ethernet cable But without success, I gave the update in the system settings. It didn't work 😔

Eli Barbie wish I could test that out but my unit was just stolen from my house.
