    Karen, I watch you almost every day. I’m just learning. Maybe just for fun and I can use up a lot of my tons of China I’ve collected. I too have a tremor, it’s mostly on my left hand and I’m left handed. Thank you for for helping all of us. BTW, I’m Almost 58, not so young. I love watching you, it’s like therapy down time for me ❤️

    So glad I found you! I'm 73 and trying to learn how to make art using soft solder. Haven't been able to find anything to "show me" how and what to use on a variety of material. Have pieces of up to approx 3" long pencil lead thick brass from an old necklace that I bent into sections to make a heart over a cross. Learned I needed an acid based solder for brass but as far as the actual technique I'm still lost!

      Thank you kindly! Welcome to my channel!
      I also work with brass & regular lead-free solder is best, never use rosin core solder “aka acid base”. If you try & are having difficulty it’s probably your iron not your solder or flux.
      I appreciate your interest & support! 🙏😊💖

    I really like how you did these pendants. I have watched The Creative Italian channel as well. She has some great ideas too.
    Enjoyed watching while I was foiling some larger experimental soldering pieces. If they work out, I'll share with you. Sending hugs and all the good vibes.💕

    Karen thank you so much for your videos. Specially about the soldering iron. I’m up to my 4 th iron and still not happy. So I’m going to buy the Hokkaido pen that you showed. We have a very cold winter this year in Sydney so soldering is extra challenging. Thanks again.

    This is sooo cool! You’re on a whole different level with this idea. I have broken and beautiful china. From my great, great grandmother to my grandmother. I couldn’t let it go. But this is a game changer for me. If I didn’t want to do the pendant, what would you suggest instead? I would definitely do earrings. Please I’m so curious to see your thoughts. Would you use it for more of a mosaic?
    48 yrs old here! ❤

      @karensintuitivejewelry  11 месяцев назад

      Awesome! Thank you kindly! Oh bea…heirlooms! Even better! My first piece was out of my mother’s china that no one really wanted & I also didn’t have the heart to throw it away! I made a pendant with matching earrings!
      I just made a tutorial on a matching set in Part 4 if you’re interested! You could do a mosaic piece if you don’t mind all that work & are patient because that’s a very long project! You can make earrings & even bracelets, brooches, hair accessories, etc but a pendant would be the easiest place to start learning! I have many tutorials on this method from Beginners to more advanced if you’re interested! Thanks so much for your interest & support! 🙏😊💖

    • @karensintuitivejewelry
      @karensintuitivejewelry  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you kindly! I believe the Magic Boric Soldering Dip is for working with silver, copper & gold as in hard soldering with an open flame! It’s not compatible with soft soldering as far as I’m aware! I appreciate your interest & support! 🙏😊💜

    I love this. This looks like so much fun thank you for everything. I’m wanting to try to do this myself with some old China that the family has and I’m just wasn’t sure what supplies I need and what exactly is it that that fox does how do you keep the silver shiny? Do I need to buy real silver or just silver Solder need to be real or will it turn? I have so many questions thank you. I will keep watching and learning from you. Thank you very much Dana and Colorado.

    What kind of jump rings do you use for pendants sterling or just ones from michaels ?? Having a hard time getting mine to hold. And what size do u prefer.

    • @karensintuitivejewelry
      @karensintuitivejewelry  8 месяцев назад

      I use inexpensive metals for all attachments including jump rings, charms, etc. Using SS seems like a waste with this technique! The size of jump rings depends on your project but just a bail I usually use an 8mm so there’s plenty of room for a cord or chain to fit through. Make sure you’re applying enough solder all around for security & durability!
      Thank you for your interest & support! 🙏😊💖

      I work at 700 F most of the time. I’ll go up or down 50 degrees depending on what I’m trying to accomplish like making decorating dots or liquifying solder

    Karen it came out beautiful. How are you going to sign it. I am going to send you a message on how I sign mine..Also wanted to let you know that I went on Amazon to get the Sterling by Harris lead free solder they aren’t going to sell it anymore.. 😮😢 🩷💕💜💕❤️

    • @karensintuitivejewelry
      @karensintuitivejewelry  11 месяцев назад

      Thx very much! What do you mean by Sign it? You can get the Sterling on Amazon under the name Worthington, it appears maybe they’re changing the wording BUT some are as expensive as Silvergleem now so just get the Best! I also did notice Harris Sterling still being sold in lots of other places on the internet for good prices so you’ll just have to search a little bit! Thx my friend 🙏😊💜
