That was the real takeaway for me. I think that not only this is a meta commentary on the fanbases' arguments on cores of Spider-Man, but I also hope that that Miles proves his point and doesn't lose his parents. I won't be surprised if he does, even though he legit lost his uncle and his Peter on the last one. The first movie's message is that anyone can wear the mask, and so I think the big theme of this trilogy is just an exploration of that.

Exactly his mentor is Peter b parker his uncle ben would be Araon like you said but I think since maybe the spider he got bit by is from another universe it ain’t going that way so maybe they are saying his father has to die to complete everything for him. I mean, he became Spider-Man after his Peter died. Uncle Aaron also taught him a lesson but I would argue peter as well.
I am so happy to see my favorite character mayday parker spider-girl finally adapted in a animated movie outside of the comics which is really awesome and badass. :)
It’s a good theory Sal, but it’s already been announced that Miles’ relationship with Gwen is going to be more Romantic. The Director has even called it a “Love Story”
And they’ve even said there’s a love triangle between Miles, Gwen and Spider-Punk
I have always thought the 2099 Spider Man design was awesome. The stories just sucked so much.
My theory is that Miles is going to ruin all the timelines and instead of the spider-verse it's the villain-verse with Kingpin in charge. In the next movie Miles will have to go back and let his dad die

I mean, he is according to Kingpin's machine, which is again the perspective of a single universe instead of this multiversal alliance.
Although tbf, I think that the majority of Spider-Man readers would probably prefer 616 Peter to be like Peter B. by this point.

I think the reason why 2099 is mad at miles is if you see in the trailer Miguel looking at a picture of him and a little girl and im thinking that might be his daughter and he's maybe tried to do what miles is doing in this movie but failed and couldn't get his daughter back thus we get a anti hero kind for 2099
I´d really wish MCU or sony capitalized on this movie´s 2099 and had a live action film done with Oscar Isaac.
To me it seems, when we follow the MCU’s storyline, they are designated as 616.
In the grander multiverse (shows, comics, games, etc), it’s designation is 19999
I like the idea of Miguel seeing himself as basically the leader and he’ll have like devout spider-people. I hope it leads to a spider civil war.
Miles' Uncle Aaron was his Uncle Ben.
I know fans aren't going to like that because older characters being wrong makes them rabid, but I think this is going to be a case of Miguel just saying "Look, your dad is probably going to die but you can save the multiverse with 100% certainty in this scenario. Just bite the bullet like all Spider-Men do and grief". Whereas Miles WILL try to do both things because at the end of the day that's what a hero should try to do.
If there's a chance to save everyone it is his obligation to preserve as much life as he can. It almost seems like all of these Spider-Men have accepted that death is a natural part of their lives to bypass loss and grief, but they should STILL try to save everyone even if it brings them grief.

I love that Sony got the MCU number right and not Marvel themselves. I rather have MCU be Earth-199999, rather than be 616, because it's just to confusing to have 2 Earths that are named 616. It's like how DC's multiverse have multiple Earth 1 when there should only be one. Plus MCU Mysterio getting the number right is 100% bull$hit. Another thing, isn't the Captain Britain Core actually in charge of numbering system of the multiverse.
Also, Mayday! I hope if the movie does well, we might be able to Mayday in the main 616 universe. I would also love if we saw a live action Spider-Girl movie that takes place after Sam Rami's Spider-Man trilogy. As his Spider-Man makes the most sense to have daughter.
How is both being called 616 confusing? The whole 199999 thing if anything makes it more confusing as with 616 we understand that the MCU and the comics are different continuities that aren't connected and have their own respective multiverses, with 199999 it suddenly means that the MCU and the comics are now connected which makes no sense because they aren't going to do anything meaningful with that connection. The whole confusion argument for 616 makes no sense because its like saying that the avengers shouldn't be called that in the MCU as there's an avengers in the comics.

In one of the shots of Miguel coming towards the camera his incisors are sharpened into fangs. My crackpot theory for why he’s so roided is that he’s going to be this movies version of The Other.
I thought Miguel always had the fangs. But that would be neat.

I'm so glad I didn't watch a single trailer, I didn't see any posters. I didn't watch any reactions. I went into this movie blind only having the context of INTO. And holy crap, it was an absolute amazing experience

It feels like the idea for Earth numbers is nobody has a centralized idea, so everyone is just winging it. Which is hilarious. Miguel, Reed, everyone has different numbers for different Earths.
It's weird that people think Sony needs permission to name drop characters. If I made a movie and name dropped Roger Rabbit will I need to get daddy Disney's approval too for that 1 line?
My terrible prediction is that this is Spiderman Flashpoint. Mile's mom dies and Miles changes that causing ripple effect in 2099 and causing Miguel to lose his daughter or Miles is going to do something to save his mom and all the Spider-men try to stop him. This would reflect the first movie well too since Fisk was trying to do the same.

Why do I feel like the Spider-Verse spider-people are gunna be like the Council of Reeds, but instead of sacrificing their Family to solve the problem of everything, its sacrificing his dad to save people as the crux of the conflict.
They keep playing part of the Spider-Man Unlimited theme in some of these trailers, I wonder if we'll actually get any of the animated Spidey's as a prominent side character

@@Henderson10666 Yeah they’re both on the extended poster. The one from the ps4 game is also on the poster and he’s in both trailers. I don’t think any of those guys will have lines though.
The focus for this movie seems to be Miles, Gwen, Peter (from the first movie) & 2099. Those will be the main characters. Then Spider-Man India & Jessica Drew seem like supporting characters so they’ll probably have some lines as well. Ben Reilly is towards the front of the poster & he’s in this trailer so we might get a bit of dialogue from him too.
Based off this trailer it seems like the lesson Miles is learning is that he can’t save everyone. He has to chose between saving his father or the entire multiverse and Miles believes he can do both, save everyone. He’s gonna be confronted with the realization that he can’t save everyone, at least that’s what it looks like from this trailer.
I think this is the only comic book movie I'm excited for this year
