Fair play Darren nobody can ever say you don’t lead by example - that was a headache for sure! I know that feeling when just have to keep digging knowing it’s there somewhere and you have to just keep the faith…
Such a great team in support of your projects. Amazing the amount of engineering gymnastics that have to be retrofitted to proceed this rebuild. Well done
I'm so sorry to hear that the previous builder botched the sewer line. This reminds me of one of your prior builds where you had to dig up and fill in a brick-lined inspection chamber.
Hi Darren, what a mess. I think the new stack connection to the chamber is called a 'tumble'. Drainage work should always be completed and tested first, the builders who worked before you didn't complete that stage before pouring the foundations. Looking at the hole you dug to find the sewer, the foundations don't look like they were 1 metre deep -standard depth for a single storey extension.
Hi Richard, yea they should of done it first I have no idea why they didn’t. The foundations are unique on this one. Above the steel has a floating steel foundation which was wrapped and covered in concrete. That’s likey why the front wall isn’t so deep. It’s connected to three build over bridges. I’ll try and show and explain today. 👍🏾
@@darrenthebuilder Thanks, this looks like a tricky site before the last builders messed it up. I'm not surprised they left, I think they realised they were out of their depth!
Is it impossible that they wanted to keep the existing manhole inside the house and run the new soil stack from the corner underneath the bridged bit into the extension and into the manhole? Definitely not up to the regs but it would explain what they did.
Darren and The A team is in the place people give them a huge round of applause.👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾putting right the wrongs of cowboy builders and restoring a good nights sleep to house owners who had given up on ever getting their house extensions finished !!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😂
@darrenthebuilder 😃 fair they don't know any better youd get that smashed out in about 20 mins max with a hydraulic one even the used hilti i got off ebay for 250 how much the titan cost?
Great job with hard graft. The guys know how to step up when its needed. What a nightmare to find a pipe, did well. Stay well you all.
Fascinating to see what goes underground! That clay looks horrible to dig!

Bloody hell Darren
Fair Play man..!
I need a good rest now
Respect 👍
All of you worked hard today.
That drain looks like it’s running directly along the line of the new footing, amazing how the building inspector let that pass
Part of it is but there was extensive foundation build overs. There bridges all with steelworks incased in concrete
