    The backup lights in the lower valence was part of the RS package along with the hidaway headlights, had nothing to do with the motor in the car.

    What a gorgeous beauty, I am so in love with her. I grew up in the garage, working on these, chargers, challengers and corvettes with my Dad. I guess he always wanted a boy, but ended up with a girl who just loved classic and fast cars, changing engines, grease and spending time in a garage. I miss being in the garage with him working on these beauties. I can’t wait to own one of my own some day, but until then job well done. 💜😘.

    It's perfect besides that after market radio. If you gotta get a modern radio, go to Vintage Sound.

    I haven't been able to find one on the web,but "and if memory serves me right",didn't Chevy build a C-10/ SST short bed pick up truck that had the 1968 styling with the closed grill? I'm not thinking about the early 90's either.

      My brothers came with a 350,,bored it out to a 355. It was a monster once he changed the rear end and gears..456 if I'm correct. Tires would break loose at 50 mph when the hammer was put down.

      Brothers used to see a guy drive one would stop at the light next to him and ask him where he got his girly car. Eventually they bought it from him after a small frontal impact and later sold it to me. Dad talked me into a pickup gas went up to .33 cents a gallon anyway and only 6 miles a gallon. Traded it off 😂😁and maybe kept me alive couldn't keep the front tires on the ground and could pass anyone almost anywhere. Remember passing my brothers challenger 440 at 125 about 20mph on him so guess 145 would love to drive them again or the 67 8 9 's chevelles they had etc.

    correct me if i am wrong....but in order to be an SS, the engine has to be a 350 cu in. not a 327, not a 396, but a 350 only. i a in no way an expert, but thats what i learned over the years.
    nice car by the way

    • @dirt2water69
      @dirt2water69 8 лет назад

      the SS with an RS option had available engines in different Cu In. The RS package also included a Vinyl top, and retractable headlight covers, as well as a few other options. alot of people (like myself) got rid of the vinyl top because of rot, and also appearance. Bye the way, there was an SS 302,396, and a 427 with L89 heads.
