If your English like me , Ian will always be known as Lovejoy . Lovejoy is to most people the most wonderfully English tv show ever made . I still watch them religiously still to this day .
I wholeheartedly concur with your post. Every time he’s in a production, I always say “Lovejoy’s in this!l much the same as “mike off of neighbours is in this!” 😊
I guess a lot of the American viewers won't have any conception of Ian McShane as the antique dealer Lovejoy...Lovejoy was the mainstay of Saturday evening viewing in the Uk for many many years....and some of us will remember him from The battle of Britain 1969!! The man has enjoyed a long career!!! Gawd bless you Sir....! National treasure for sure.
Mr Wednesday, game of thrones ex knight, John wick he's got such a powerful voice and magnetic presence. Something tells me he has serious theatre, play experience.
Mr Ian was in the 2009 show Kings, & later Deadwood. He was utterly brilliant in those & John Wick. He simply has that special "gravitas," to create memorable characters!
Mr. McShane looks like a classic Greek with that beard, it looks great liken to a Ulysses. I can't believe this fellow is 80 years old and no one can do the CS word quite like Ian McShane.
Spoilers: Winston's line at the end, does that legitimately make him John Wick's father? I wasn't sure if it was a gesture of goodwill, or if the line was supposed to be taken as literal.
When the character Winston was telling Wick he had a family , etc, but all I could focus on was Winston's ( I M ) teeth, and thinking do not fall out , are they dentures
Love everything Ian has ever starred in since the 60’s. One of the most attractive and sexy sounding gentlemen and masterful actors ever. He is my top fave character as Winston of the John Wick films. Great interview with this British iconic legend. ❤️♥️😍😘🤤🥵🥰🌟🤩
He’s a good actor. I couldn’t get into the John Wick franchise though and I love action everybody’s crazy about this franchise but I don’t have it don’t know why just don’t
Am I imagining things...or do all action movies I watch now try to mimic the John Wick movies in terms of how it's shot, choreography, cinematography, how fast (pacing of writing) it moves, etc...?
"Without spoiling anything..." Too late dude, he already spelled out some pretty big beats, and your question got a response which essentially gave away the ending. D'oh.
Brutally, tragically, unfairly, unfortunately forgotten and unappreciated film!!!! Gandhi is pretty damn unforgettable too, seldom getting to play the bad guy. "NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!"
Loved the scenes of the sexy Lady speaking to her listeners on the radio on the whereabouts of John Wick as it was a great montage to the Legendary movie THE WARRIORS from the 70's who did the same thing...
I couldnt watch it all .... decided to walk out half way thru and go back see the other half next week - did not want to be depleted watching any part of JW4 .... ohhh nice JW5 is a maybe ...
I've seen all the John Wicks movies, love them all - except this one. This was the most boring movie and not even close to the other 3. You can watch this movie, go buy popcorn, go the bathroom and never worry about missing any of the plot. There is a plot, kind of, but it all fight scenes, 1 after another after another after another.... I thought about leaving, but stayed hoping for some type of plot, but there wasn't really any. Just fighting and fighting and fighting and fighting, knowing that Wick would escape, otherwise the movie would be maybe a half hour long. Of all the Keanu movies, this is the only one that I would never watch again.
I can't believe this man is 80 years old
WHAT?
@@ironladyerimuth What "what"? You don't know that Ian McShane is 80 years old?
I got the vibe of 60 but 80 he looks good for his age
81 years
Bruh i thought he was 70
He's a legend......he was in films when I was a kid in the early 1970's!!!!!!!!

If your american like me, ian will always be known as al swearengen.
Yup!
@@glyph2011 yep 😆 I never refer to him as Ian , it’s always Lovejoy 😊🇬🇧.
This guy played a spraytanned villain in Agent Cody Banks....What a fall from grace ooof!!!
Just the best series ever. Proper ensemble series with good characters and good plots. What a show. RIP Dudley Sutton and Macolm Tierney.
R.i.p lance 🙏🦅🇺🇲🤜🤛💯 you will be missed brother

He will always be LOVEJOY
Great show
I loved Ian McShane as Lovejoy.
That's how i think of him. Antiquing scoundrel. Loved Lovejoy!
This man has a big screen presence l like it when he’s with Ray winston great actors what you see is what you get ❤
Great Actor Blessings ❤❤❤❤
Can't wait for The Continental. Hopefully he will make some cameos in that series.
I think it’s set in the 70s so it would have to be a younger actor if anything
Lance is and always be Legend, God bless and Rest in Peace brother, you will be missed 🙏
Great actor....first time seen as Blackbeard
Same. Technically, first heard him in anything with Kung Fu Panda

How is Ian 80yrs old?! Its hard to believe!
Will, Professional Polite and Personable!😊💖🙏👍
Always remembered as Lovejoy here in 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Mr Ian was in the 2009 show Kings, & later Deadwood. He was utterly brilliant in those & John Wick.

Great interview
He was great as lovejoy
Loved Ian in Lovejoy - rewatched it a while back and it’s funny to see faces that moved on to greater things in tv - how young they all were
I love Ian McShane voice.
I didn't finish he was on several other movie but the pirate was so good he truly is a handsome man I even saw him on John Wick he is so good.
Mr. McShane looks like a classic Greek with that beard, it looks great liken to a Ulysses. I can't believe this fellow is 80 years old and no one can do the CS word quite like Ian McShane.
He is Zeus
Lady Jane and Charlotte will be suitably impressed with this loveable rogue
Always a class act…
Lovejoy looking good for 81. LEGEND!
Amazing that 'Lovejoy' has become a major movie star in after turning 60
Would love to see this legend involved in peaky blinders
Spoilers:
Winston's line at the end, does that legitimately make him John Wick's father? I wasn't sure if it was a gesture of goodwill, or if the line was supposed to be taken as literal.
Most probably a spiritual one. If any. He is still orphan for Belarusian Gypsies
Not literal. Merely a figure of speech.
The movie heavily emphasizes the spirit of brotherhood. John was called a friend, a brother, a son, and then a loving husband.
When the character Winston was telling Wick he had a family , etc, but all I could focus on was Winston's ( I M ) teeth, and thinking do not fall out , are they dentures
yes . . i thought the same .
Yeah i was thinking about his teeth, they look too perfect to be true.
Haha its funny but all I could think about was his teeth as well
God bless him though he is eighty

Yep still fancy my Lovejoy😂
This guy is amazing in Deadwood season 1
Mr Black Magic himself, Teddy Bass.
Lovejoy looking good there
I wouldn't even recognize him on the street. That's crazy.
Ian McShane looks like Al Pacino
Looks more like an older Oscar Isaac to me but yea I can see that
Great actor, but no matter what he does he will always be known as Lovejoy to me. You can keep the Hollywood films.
*Swearengen
Brilliant as "Mr black magic" Teddy Bass in Sexy Beast .....Menace personified .
#JohnWick 💥💥💥🇮🇳
Good guy.
I watch this man he is a handsome man he age beautifully. I saw his movie he was a priate
For an 80 year old, the man looks like he's barely into his 60s lol
"I've waited for 20 years..." wait wrong film
"Nobody" is much better film than Wick 4
It is like Clark Kent (but Real one, not persona) interviewing them all.
Cant believe this man is 105
thats Kung Fu Panda's enemy!😁
The name is *Tai Lung*
Uncultured swine

The late Christopher Reeve's son.
"Without spoiling anything..." Too late dude, he already spelled out some pretty big beats, and your question got a response which essentially gave away the ending. D'oh.
Looks Christopher Reeves the interviewer
It's his son William reeves
Keanu Reeves must have let the cast into his elixir supply..most of them look good for their age
The horseback scenes look neat. Who knows.
Teddy Bass!!
Brutally, tragically, unfairly, unfortunately forgotten and unappreciated film!!!!
Gandhi is pretty damn unforgettable too, seldom getting to play the bad guy.
"NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!"
@@Bhatt_Hole Indeed, one of the best in its genre.
Where there's a will ...
The funniest film series!
As Teddy in Sexy beast. Smashed it
I like Keanu Reeves, however the action scenes are becoming sloppy and predictable.
Is Winston Wick's dad?
No , but he is part of the family (Berlin) under the table
When does Winston reveal he's Helen's father?
He's very similar to the Italian & French people than the British! 🤔
The great libran

That was exactly what I though when I observed that scene!
All artists steal.
Like the movie 'Vanishing Point' (1971) as well.
Love the actors. However the fight scenes grew tedious. Could of easily cut 45 minutes out. Having said that. I love the series and hope there’s more.
Shut up
Lovejoy ❤
Spoiler alert
Yes the interviewer did give a bit away lol
80??

Winston... *nod
Kind of puzzling to me why ABC and their anti gun bias would want to even get this close to a John Wick film. But we know it’s all about the money.
I didn't realize he was 'Judas' in "Jesus of Nazareth" back in the 80's!!!

THE STOLEN SCENES FROM THE WARRIORS WERE TERRIBLY DONE AND MADE IT UNBEARABLE TO WATCH 💯
