Keanu Reeves & Chad Stahelski on John Wick: Chapter 4 Stunts and THAT Staircase Scene

- If you’re a fan of the John Wick franchise and are curious about how Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski pulled off the jaw dropping stunts in John Wick: Chapter 4, then you’re in the right place.
A few nights ago, Collider and IMAX teamed up for an early screening of the sequel in Los Angeles and after the film ended, I sat down with Reeves and Stahelski. During the wide-ranging interview, they discussed what the hardest stunts were to film in the franchise, how they filmed the incredible oner in the Parisian building where Reeves is walking around with the dragon’s breath shotgun with the camera above him, the challenges of filming at the Arc de Triomphe with cars, that stair sequence at Sacré Coeur, and why all of the choreography went out the window during the first fight scene with Donnie Yen.
In addition, they explained why they always come up with the next sequel ideas while drinking whiskey at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, which of the films changed the most in the editing room, what went into the incredible Berlin club sequence with Scott Adkins in Chapter 4, how Reeves preps for his stunts, and so much more. If you’re a fan of this amazing franchise, then you’re going to learn a lot. While you can either read or watch the interview, I’m going to strongly recommend pushing play on the video for this one. In one part of the video, you’ll see Reeves walk around demonstrating something-and it’s just not the same as reading it.
Finally, due to how many movies are coming out this month and next, John Wick: Chapter 4 is only playing in IMAX theaters for one week. So, if you want to see the movie on the best screen possible, I’d make an effort to catch it this weekend or early next week.

I love how Keanu and Chad loves making these movies up to this 4th one which is a masterpiece.Chad is a genius and Loved how much of a team player and dedicated member Keanu is,how animated he is describing his experience in making this 4th one and how he really is so humble admitting that he was slow to take on Donnie yen in their fight scene even if he memorized the choreography and all. I hope they don't get tired making these movies❤️

John Wick is good but the Matrix saga except the last "Resurrection" is unmatched
@@Jamirio loved the matrix films too and watched all 4 and my fave is reloaded (the 2nd matrix film) coz the action sequences are just amazing in that film But I also can't compare The JW films with the Matrix films coz first they are different stories plus even if the Matrix is old school (shown in 99 to early 2k) it's still high tech or futuristic add to that the psycho/fantasy element while the JW films are more traditional in terms of weapons and fighting. So I just love both franchises

LOVE this era of Keanu Reeves, interviews and acting roles. It is like going back to OG era of films, when they were both serious and with comedic timing. With true raw comedy, not the MCU/Rick and Morty type of teethless quips.

@@peenzert1994 I agree Chad really knows his stuff and I know the fact that he can make a kick ass action movie like John Wick 4 for only 100 million dollar budget compared to the russos making Gray Man for twice the budget that movie didn't even need to cost that much while I like that movie it's very disjointed and lifeless in parts but the action and the cast made up for most of the bad in the movie for me personally

Can anyone explain to me these 2 things I don’t get? First, in the club fight scene why does every dancing not care about gunshots then randomly 75% through that scene they all start running and fighting. Is there a reason for that?? Second, why does Donnie Yen help John make it to the duel? If John doesn’t make it he dies anyways

So got to watch these john wick films . I f*cked up watching the wrong one 1st looks like its gonna be along time before i watch them all vowing to myself not to watch them because id love to get the story right. Missd the 1st one watched the other one like the dog as died what they on abouy hes alive .
