0:29 When you list why this wouldn't work, omg I'm in tears right now. My kids are in their 20's now but I, too, had a window licker. Thanks so much for posting this, I am thinking about trying this as my the biggest window in my apartment overlooks a strip club, and yeah 'nuff said.
General question. To make it more permanent esp in a bathroom where there's steam, could.something like hairspray or some other spray work to make it more permanent?
I am not sure i never tried it as one layer was enough for us. If you need the layer to be thicker I would suggest using more glue at the beginning bc if you let it dry and then reapply wet glue on top it may mess up the first layer
I was excited to try this but it didn't work at all for me. I put it on a cabinet door and it is barely noticeable. It looks like a clear glaze. I used generic glue though do you think that could be the reason?
I tried the Elmer’s glue all which came out more clear than the Elmer’s school glue. But I also added more water to it to make it thinner. Going to try it without water and see what happens. May have to go buy the “school glue” instead which isn’t a PVA glue.
hmm I am not sure! I wonder why it didnt work for you! What roller did you use? I used a nappy foam roller to roll it on, i think you need to use something that will leave a textured application
I did not use any water when I did it, Since elmers glue is washable and essentially comes off when you rub it with water I would imagine mixing it with water would just make it like painting murky water on a window and not give you a frosty look. let me know how it works if you try it again!
@@NathalieSophia I used a roller that is just like a regular paint roller. I am going to get the sponge roller and some official Elmer's School glue and try it again this weekend. I will let you know how it works. Also, I did not add water to the glue, and I did do a second coat which made no difference.

Haha your window licker is all grown up!! Haha but if you try it let me know how it works for you!
Thank you so much for sharing this! We have a sunroom with no privacy so I’m definitely trying this!
Yay!! I hope you guys love it!
I wish a view from outside at night with the inside lights on would have been shown. Good job anyway.
This is so good to know, thank you for sharing!
I hope you try it out!
I've been looking for something to frost my windows that was cheap and inexpensive thank you for this
Have to apply several times. Also can add acrylic color.
interesting I never thought about adding color!

@@marnixperez9147 I am not sure? I haven’t tried it but if you do please come back and share your results! I would be very curious
I wonder if you put a little bit of color in the glue if it would still be as easy to get off.
Not sure! But if it’s a washable color then I would imagine it would come off just as easy!
Can a 2nd layer be used?

I saw two layers work better.
