I know someone who did their kids' floors with maps they'd collected from old National Geographic magazines and their AAA membership. Turned out beautifully, and their kids loved it!

I also use used dryer sheets dipped in paint and put it over craft items or book covers to create the leather look and feel. I made a crochet horse for a niece. Then made the saddle and stirrups attached to it with the fake leather I made. I use it like a paper mache. She loved it. I also made fake boots out of the same stuff.
It just makes me sad that she just destroyed someone else's art I would have bought it and put it out at the holidays she should just get new and leave other people's art alone
So did they all turn out as nice as these? Good for you trying something new! I’ve got to try a couple of these at least. Do you have to be real artistic to complete them & look this well?
I done my patio door on the immobile side, I free hand drawed with a black marker on outside part which is in a sunroom. After drawing a wine theme, I glued half small pebbles for my grapes. I had to use scotch tape to help hold pebbles until dry. Once all that was done I started painting. I wish I could show a picture here.. it’s all gallery glass paint and then had to go back and do the faux lead. it’s beautiful 3D .

@@ThePinkpetals about 2 months before it started to turn yellow and about 6 months for it to look awful and put in trash. It would be good for a party centerpiece that you won’t be using again.
I've used this technique for very artsy glass windows. It works well on all plasticized windows, on inside glass, but I had serious peeling problems on exterior glass exposed to cold weather .
i would recommend quality food colouring instead of precarious acrylic opaque finish. food colour will be translucent smooth and clean. and u can peel the tape away mid dry instead of using a blade on glass
I think they need to use this concept for the floors of Barrs using the cardboard cases that the beer comes in and it’s simple, inexpensive and easily replaceable if a spot gets worn out, just replace it with another carton and varnish it in!!!
This is my first of watching...actually I never knew this channel existed But im going to try this.. Starting with "stained gkass" in a lack of better words
You used water soluble glue to stick paper the a permeable surface. I don't think it's going to matter that it was sealed on top. It's going to delaminate from the wood.
What is the song playing when doing the steps at doorway beautiful work live it but I live the songs you played I want to know who they were please and thank you 😊
Doesn’t have be more expensive clear glue for mason jar or window.. regular elemers wil dry clear the vase cover paper breathable bag because gnats lint dust can get glue look dirty
I've tried filling a vase with clear elmers glue to similate water & it doesnt set up the same or as well as resin. A large amount of it is going to evaporate as it dries, leaving it looking deflated by e time it sets, IF it sets. Plus the amount of glue it takes....youre just better off using resin for this purpose.
Eventually it will. There is moisture in the air, so eventually it will start to kind of bubble a little bit and peel. It'll take a while, but it will eventually deteriorate. Especially, and very humid areas.
Fill up your cart with all the "supplies" you think you need for your project, add up the total. Next, calculate your hourly rate and multiple that by how many hours you think this project will take. Take that total and add it to the supplies total. Then, figure out if you can buy something cheaper and nicer with that amount. If you can, buy it. Or pay a professional.
You cannot add up the value of the pleasure I get from creating my own art! Hours of joy doing the art project… years of enjoy what you made and receiving the compliments!!!
Breathtaking??? W the exception of 2 (Elmers glue in the flower vase and and the cornstarch glue stencil) these were straight up eye sores!!!!! 🫣 Correction: 1 good idea. Apparently the the glue in the flower vase will turn yellow and shrink. Epoxy resin would nicely tho
You're right, it will. The windows will turn a little bit as well. You have to use real glass paint and other higher quality materials if you want a long-lasting good look. Also, if you live in a very human climate that glue is going to eventually peel. I totally agree that they all pretty much look like crap.
You can also paint the floor gray then tear your bags in shape of rocks leaving spaces like cement then proceed it looks like sand blasted rock and with new applications as needed it will last forever it's tough!
The floor turned out pretty cool except for the wrinkled papers. Those areas stood out like a sore thumb. The same as the the faux stained glass door. Why didn't she flatten those 2 wrinkled pieces or if that wasn't possible, use 2 sheets that were smooth?? The napkins on the lighted jars & the sun table were nice.
To make floor look like sandblasted rock paint the floor gray and tear paper bags in different shapes even different shades and colors, and with more polyurethane every 2 or 3 years it's tough and will last forever!
I didn't know that Elmers glue came in clear! I love all of these craft tips, and now, I need a big bottle of Elmer's clear glue!!

I love seeing people's creativity and I am amazed that it's done with Elmer's glue. I can't wait to try some of these crafts.
Same here!! Ordering my Elmer's glue now!! ❤
Use cooking dye in the glue and make it look more like water just dilute it in water and stir it then add a bit of water with blue tint .
@@dawnhemesath994 Elmer’s glue discolours over time when fully dried it goes yellow. Just thought I would let you know
I loooved the sun table! You turned a tired piece of furniture into a really lovely functional eye catcher that adds real POP to the space!! Good job!
Love it. I especially love the glue and baking soda mix. To make the mandala design and the flower on the canvas.

I cannot begin to comprehend that i just watched a woman paint her floor with elmers glue and paper scraps
Same
I’ve seen it done on furniture
@@TheThingAboutItIs does it stay hard? I just feel like it could get sticky again if it got wet at all
The polyurethane seals it like you would a wooden floor. It looks great on walls also
She put multiple layers of polyurethane floor sealer to finish it and to put a permanent seal on the top.
I've tried the floor and it does come out great! It's large scale decoupage on a wooden plysc ore floor.
Everybody's so Creative!
I've noticed the least creative people mock others, especially with crafts or cooking.
@shirin8609 Exactly!
I absolutely love some of these crafty ideas!
The stencil has finally solidified a plan for me. I want to mix fabric glue and cornstarch. Put it in fabric and paint it to make faux tooled leather.
I also use used dryer sheets dipped in paint and put it over craft items or book covers to create the leather look and feel.

💯❤ The stencil project is beautiful! 😊
These look amazing, there are some very clever artistic people around!! 😍
Thankyou for your creativity and ideas - they stimulate me to follow your lead & do a little painting 🎨 myself.
Brilliant ideas love to learn ❤
I love the creativeness.❤❤❤😊
I love the Elmer glue (clear) in the vase. And the paper floor
Out of all of them, 12 I've done. I must try the 3d paint thing.😊

What just happen? Elmers and paint! Love
When my daughter bought her house she done that to one room she made her a office in it.i couldn,t believe it but it looked really good.
Most of these were amazing!
True that
I love the stencil idea
I see a lot of these crafts in Goodwill. Idk why but they're there
Absolutely
That's a whole lot of chachki! And that window looks like crap 🤣
And sooo, your new solution to making it look better is???
Those windows look like my young children were allowed to have my windows as a drawing pad
I know....😂😂😂😂😂
Have you tried to make this project? Did you do a better job?
I tried the vase with flowers. It came out beautifully at first. After a month or 2 the glue yellowed and shrank and look awful
Thank you for that added info!
🤦🏾♀️
Clear high-grade epoxy is best for the vase idea. ..
How long did it last?
@@ThePinkpetals about 2 months before it started to turn yellow and about 6 months for it to look awful and put in trash. It would be good for a party centerpiece that you won’t be using again.
Hol' up. That paper floor is actually pretty rad.
I do love using elmers with tissue paper decoupage though! Better than modge podge in my opinion! Which often dries gummy.
revitalizing an old used canvas was a great idea. 10:29 The lamps with the light tracing paper drawings glued to the old jar was another. 4:31😉

Great job 👍👍

I did the paper floor idea as a backsplash in the kitchen.
If the clear glue is flammable, you've just made a Molotov cocktail! The perfect gift for my mother in law.
😂😂😂😂
Dude, your screen name is visible lol 😂
Never thought of that! My mother in law deserves a set of 6!!!!
The window ideal, good imagination but looks cheap and tacky and how hard is it to clean off. Some DIY looks are awful
To all the 'experts'
why don't you remake them better and show us how yours looks?
Learned this trick after sniffing glue in school 😆
😂😂😂😂

Obviously an advert for Elmers glue, but I have to tell you if anyone did that with my windows I would have to call the medics😅

Can you use regular Elmer on the window?
Why not ? The paint will dye white glue...go for it

Any Elmer's glue on the window will eventually turn yellow and then peel. I don't recommend it.

@@ThePinkpetals firstly I’m not trying to be mean. Second, the video isn’t about ways to improve ideas?? I did give a suggestion tho

Elmer's Glue in the oven? 🤔 Wouldn't that be toxic as it's baking?

How long does it take to make the glue dry in the glass vase or how should we make the glue dry faster
You can't make it dry, it's independent. You just have to wait until it's dry.
Everything looks crappy to me and what a waste on the floor would have been cheaper to buy a roll of vinyl or linoleum
Woaarr. Water.😂
What a waste of time n materials just go to valve village n buy a real blue vase for a dollor or look in the dumpster that's where I find them
I must be the only hater here because there is not one project that I felt was anything more than what a 5-year-old could do in kindergarten class
Does anyone know what the uk equivalent of Elmers glue is?
I agree 100% a little much
How can I save this video?
