Okay I have 2 things:
1. This is definitely Pat’s fault, no doubt about it. If he doesn’t admit to his mistake I’m going to get very angry
2. I have a very short theory!! What if in this episode, since Steve is shut down, Glitchtrap will have a chance to take over him. Although Steve did take down Glitchtrap in his mind, I believe it was only temporary. I do think and hope Bryan will be able to fix Steve but, will Steve be the same once he turns back on?
I really hope so and Pat is the new afton
I dont think its Pat's fault because he still cares for Steve even if it didnt look that way

I can imagine this happening to oh my its just so funny.
Bryan's been alive for less than a day and he's already reliving his trauma. We love to see this content but i gotta feel bad for the guy.
Not to mention the fact that Showtime Steve has been nothing but nice to everyone, helped others and even attempted to sacrifice himself several times. He's selfless, that's a rarity. He doesn't deserve this pain either.
He is selfless like bryan bc bryan never gave up on anybody (a least I don't think so) and since steve is technically apart of bryan that why steve is selfless
@@Jelly_Sandwich132 Bryan is selfless but a little less nice. Granted, he is nice. But he's more.. real, in the sense that he's tired, and doesn't always have the energy to be boundlessly selfless and optimistic. Trauma and life in general can change things about a person. And Bryan's isn't as nice as he could be. Steve was willing to sacrifice himself without barely even knowing who Bryan was. Bryan sacrificed himself for someone he knew well. They are two different types of martyr's and selflessness. They are both those things but in different ways. It's hard to explain, but Bryan's is nice *despite* his experiences. Steve is nice *because* of what he knows and the *lack* of experiences he has. Bryan's kindness was built from his experience, like an adult. Steve's kindness was built by his inexperience to life, like a child. But they are both compassionate and amazing people.
Theory: the malfunction caused by the shot from pat will just further fuel the distrust and anger Bryan has towards pat, I also believe pat won't apologize / care about the fact that it was his fault, because he warned Steve not to go into the Portal to bring back Bryan, because Pat didn't trusts Steve about bringing back Bryan and still doesn't trust Bryan.
Tbh, now that I think 'bout it, he'd probably try to blame it on bryan, but he'll get evidence it was from the bullet and then maybe the animatronics turn on pat, all but Vanny, and then she manipulates him and brings back Glitchtrap

My theory is:
Steve is in a temporary shutdown, since the shot wasn’t too severe. Also I agree with the comments saying this has something to do with Bryan and Steve splitting apart.
What I want to happen in this episode is to see our old Pat, the one who loved Steve and wouldn’t dream of hurting him. It’s sad because Steve and Pat’s relationship has only been getting worse, it hurts that their cute relationship turned into a one sided friendship. Steve cares deeply about Pat and wants him to care about him, but Pat seems to want Steve gone which is heartbreaking…

Well, their nothing like coming back from the dead to have PTSD breakdowns again after having one of your friends breaking down and falling to the floor with one of their arms breaking off to give Bryan PTSD flashbacks to every time he found one of his die animatronics like this.

Here's what I think.
1: pat will see this and realize this was he's fault for Steve's death (if he will survive)
2: Bryan will try to fix steve
Alright theory:
Since In the description it mentions how Steve malfunctions due to the fact Pat shot him; in specific, Steve’s arm, which caused him to go into a temporary emergency shutdown. Looking at his arm, and going to clues from 2 episodes ago, the bullet didn’t fully affect him till now but it still hurt. So therefore i don’t think Steve is dead, just in a temporary shutdown, which would allow Bryan to actually fix him since he’s not broken beyond repair.
I think your right, Because when something is badly damage that will shut down for repairs or something
So, it maybe a 50% Chance Showtime Steve will be back online and himself in no time.... as long they have the right parts to repair him.

According to the description, when Pat shot Steve it did more damage than we thought. Though I truly do hope that Brian can fix him, that arm definitely didn’t just fall off.
I just came up with a theory.
When Steve and Bryan got separated last time, is there still a body in Steve? Because, if there is than that could be why he shut down.
Also the fact that Pat shot him but mostly that I think the body that was in him kept all the wires and servos in place so that's probably why he shut down.

From the looks of the thumbnail it either looks like Bryan found Steve shutdown in his bedroom at the hotel or Bryan and Steve were talking to one another, ending off at Bryan's hotel room and that may be when Steve shutdown.
If anyone here notices the background and the image itself, it gives us a brief description of where the place may be during the video and coming up with outcomes of what may have happened.
Plus, in the previous videos when Steve found Bryan in the portal, he did say that his arm hurt from when Pat shot him. Which makes me wonder if the gun pat used was a regular gun or a different kind of gun... But all in all Steve does not deserve this, he has been through enough to the point where he is willing to risk his life (scrapped) in order to save Bryan. Including that if something were to happen to Steve, yeah we that Bryan will be devastated. Though with the reason behind it is that Steve continuously kept fighting for Bryan's life and that between the both of them, they have a very strong connection/bond.

I dont mean for this to sound like hate but I'm spewing things out about my POV. I love this series and dont pin anything on the creators themselves, but rather the characters portrayed in the series. Example: Pat, I dont discredit the creator but rather Pat's character as played in this series
Theory -
The shot did more damage to steve than realized and maybe not only went through a more sensitive area but might have also messed up the wiring.
Dif theory
Also maybe because Steve has lost the support of Bryan's soul. Steve had some conciousness because he was linked with Bryan's sould. Causing him to be able to talk to and hear Bryan. Steve could run without code because of Bryan's soul. Steve needs Bryan's soul as a support, a wall to lean on. Take the wall away they tumble to the ground.
I think the shutdown is temporary, if it is because of the soul then Bryan can fix some coding. If it is because the shot Bryan can fix the shot and wiring and other things.
Pat can go and think of ways to fix some mistakes he has made.(not in a rude way.) I think he lost all respect for alot of us when he pulled a gun on Steve more than once. Not only that but he also tricked steve and shut him down, etc.

Ok- Big Paragraph Time. Don't have to read, this is just my own Character Analysis and Theories so far.

I don't think Pat meant for Steve to die. I know he was clearly shooting to stop him at any means necessary, but he didn't show any pain, so I doubt Pat knew he was hurt. If he had been visibly injured, I think Pat would have helped him. They were friends once upon a time, after all. Then again, he's behaved rather dismissively of Steve in the past, because he finally buckled down and got serious when Steve went to Freddyland and saw Steve as too childish afterwards. Which is pretty not cool, especially since Steve still loves him so much.
As for the Delayed Reaction to the bullet wound. Pat has been at least a little scared of the animatronics ever since the start, and Steve has proven that he (or his body) can be dangerous. Which could, potentially, mean that something was done to his bullets to make them more effective against animatronics, causing this to happen. I understand the fear, but such drastic measures wouldn't make sense, because what's happening here is clearly Steve and not what's been controlling him.
Another thing- Pat wasn't raised in a good home, so what he's doing to Steve is actually probably the norm for him. But the violence, anxiety, and distrust? That's all Pat's developed character flaws. And they’re all traits commonly found in children raised in a household where the children are psychologically bullied for everything they do or like, who are diminished down to their parents do-overs, and who are experiencing a mental breakdown. The mental health side of all their adventures has always been stressed as very Important, so this is more amazing representation.
Pat is terrified of everything he’s shaped his new, hopefully healthier life around is going to be torn away from him. I understand that, and I can sympathize with him. However, going to lengths such as trying to keep someone dead? Someone people *you* care for, love with all their hearts? Not cool. And C!Bryan did have a point- Star Mall is his. He built, planned, paid for and made the animatronics for that place. He literally *died* for it. Dismissing all of that is also not cool. While this is what Pat’s begun to build his life around, this *is* C!Bryan’s life. Its all he has left, considering C!Jon's 'missing' and C!Davis no longer wants anything to do with this mess. Plus- we never learned about Bryan's parents, and the only account we have of Bryan's College days is C!Jons, and he's proven himself to be an unreliable source due to his lack of empathy for C!Bryan's struggles and mental health. Poor bean doesn't seem to have a life outside of Freddy Fazbears.
Another thing I love about this series is that the Team keeps damaged mental health as a consistent thing, and not something to sweep under the rug for a change in direction. They look at every personality trait and flaw, and they plan the characters actions and words accordingly. They keep Pat an understandable character, and not a flat-out villain as so many people who just skim his surface believe him to be.
Theory- I don’t think C!Bryan would have fired Pat, or taken him off the team entirely at the least. I think he would have kept him on as a business partner, considering he has a talent for that, and C!Bryan’s ‘loving’ nickname is actually “Bad Business Owner”. They could have been great friends, and very successful together, or even going in the direction of a potential relationship, as so many of the fans hoped for. Trauma drove them apart. *Fear* drove them apart.
More Theory- C!Bryan's going to be so, so *p i s s e d* at Pat. He's going to be angry, scared, and hurting. I wouldn't be surprised if he drove over to Star Mall in a blind rage and shoots Pat with the gun Rockstar Freddy gave him in an act of vengeance. That would also make the "C!Bryan's Alive" reveal so much more dramatic for Molten and the others, seeing him about to kill a man when before he they saw him as sweet and sad and couldn't hurt a fly if he wanted to, showing changes in behavior due to recent traumatic experiences and potential PTSD Flashbacks caused by Steve's 'death'.
Thing i noticed- Bryan's thumbnail for 'Death to Life' shows C!Bryan and Steve scared, and Pat furious and unhinged. Naia's thumbnail shows Pat looking more vulnerable and scared, and there's a notable difference- Steve's gone. It's just Bryan, giving an evil grin that resembles... This is perspective. And I love it!! Taking the different characters with different experiences way of seeing this into account even in the thumbnail art is such amazing attention to detail.
So, to sum this Block O’ Text up, Pat’s scared. He’s acting out because of his trauma and his fear. C!Bryan's angry and scared too, and I wouldn't be surprised if he retaliated with more violence. And I’m not saying to forgive Pat for what he’s done, bc he's pulled a gun on a CHILD twice, lied to him, and taken out his anger on Steve, who's just as scared or even more scared than Pat was, I’m saying to think about everything they’ve factored in to come to this point. He's NOT a villain. Thank you Naia and Bryan for this incredible series, and if I'm hella wrong about all this, please tell me so I don't embarrass myself lol.

My theory is that I do think some of the damage was because of the bullet however if we go back to what Steve said in the sewers he was talking about his battery so I think Steve's battery died and the bullet damage him as well. That's my theory on this.

If you look at the description, I think the shot Steve took while running into the portal hit one of Steve circuits and now it’s taking it toll on him. And if you look at the thumbnail, you’ll notice that Steve’s arm is gone.
I have a theory that since steve is a part of bryan's soul and bryan is currently alive and bryan's soul isn't fully in steve that maybe is the reason steve shuts down and steve's arm did it fall of bc of the bullet that pat shot at him? but we'll see tomorrow

I feel like this is due to pat shooting him- wait a minute what if Pat breaks showtime Steve has he's that afraid of losing the only thing he has, that being his job

Theory1: Steve can’t exist while him and Bryan are apart of the same world.
Theory2: Because steve is no longer apart of Bryan he is not able to function.
Both of these theory’s could be right but I think Bryan would be able to save steve
But Steve has code now so he could be able to survive without bryan, it could feel a bit different but everything would be fine (for now) it might have had something to do when pat shot his arm

So Steve got shot and while he is MOSTLY made up of bullet proof material, he's not 100% made of it, and Pat also shot him somewhere in his arm or shoulder... 10 bucks that pats bullet hit one of teh areas thats not bullet proof and did THIS

Or maybe the bullet, somehow, got inside due to a gap in Steve's shoulder and directly to the wires

I mean.. It was excpected to happen sooner or later. I dont think Steve has a strong endoskeleton to hold up (Molten was rushing to save Bryan, to make the suit so its not upgraded fully or safe.) And plus he has a dead human skeleton inside of him
