I'm going to go on a long rant here, so bare with me: While getting this guy's speed may not be too difficult, I feel like the pretense of the video undermines the actual efficiency of his runes. Take the Lulu for example. +150 speed on Violent, sure, even I may be able to squeeze out something like this (though it would be a bit difficult starting from a clean slate; 42 from slot 2 and ~22 speed average on every other rune). However, he also has +30k HP, 100% Res, and nearly double the base defense. That is a lot of efficiency that isn't mentioned. I would be hard pressed to scrap a Violent set with 150 speed, but even then, to meet 30k+ HP, I'd probably have to also squeeze out broken sets from random units. And even then, my Lulus bonus defense and resistance would not be as high, especially on Spd/HP/HP), considering all of this guy's 85% res is coming from only substats and not having Res main on 6. I'm willing to bet this Lulu is better (efficiency-wise at least) than 99.99% of SW players, even if it might be slower than some of them. Trying to put a Lulu on runes as good as his will definitely still take quite a good amount of time and most likely tens of thousands of crystals, if not hundreds of thousands of crystals into energy refills. I've put about 30k crystals into energy refreshes farming runes and I'm still hard pressed to make a Lushen that can one shot GB12 golems on 169 total speed without any attack buff (10.5k per card _without_ attack buff). Maybe, I'm a bad player for not having a Lulu with 40k HP, 100res, 250 speed, and 1400 def on Violent Will. But I think it should be stated that this guy isn't on poverty runes either. So saying "oh it's only +150 speed, this Lulu is obtainable" is a bit of an understatement. The Lulu might not be on the fastest set. But by golly would it still take me at least a year or more to scrap up a rune set that's this good. Otherwise everyone would have a Lulu that's at the G3 level. Same goes for the Tetra. Maybe it's not on the fastest swift set, sitting at +161 speed. But look at that HP and Def total. Taking out the flat 100 def from artifact and flat 160 def from slot 3; that's basically ~150% Defense from subs only. No Def% main stat. Speed? Obtainable. Combo'd with everything else to not be squishy like paper? I'll get back to you on that. Anyways, I'm done ranting. I appreciate the info you provide, bagel. But who are these runes obtainable for exactly. People farming for 1 year? 2 years? Motivation for people in the giant bracket that is F3 RTA? Surely I wont have a Lulu this good after farming half a year.
His speed on stats are so easy to get (below 200) but that is the only stat that is low, its normal to be a turn 2 on a bruiser comp, and people overlook his stats on units are all op (g3 runes) not a fighter 1 runes having lower spd below 200.
the thing that you are missing here is that this is a G3 account. if you can grasp the concept, (its not all about speed) you can reach high levels. you will need similar quality for g3(box, drafts and so on). but same set lulu -5k hp can get u g1. c3 is even easier and so on. it just depends on your goal. talking about that tetra, that is +161 on swift! on an unit that has base 110. if you are not buying premium packs, you can get most of those from farming.

In the 20k crystals I've spent in the past 2 months refilling only energy to farm runes, I can assure you none of my Swift sets look as high efficiency as that Tetra. One or two swift rune looking that good? Possibly. Likely on slot 1/3/5. But a whole Swift/Will set looking that good? Unlikely.
To be fair, I'm pretty sure everyone knows you don't get to top 50 by having shitty runes. You are absolutely correct in your assessment and I think Bagel could have made a stronger point about what makes a rune good using his runes as an example. I think a lot of people just sell off runes that don't triple roll speed or maybe crit rate and then just stick a bunch of those +21 spd purple runes on their units, get 1-shot as soon as an enemy vio procs out of a stun once and complain about rng. Yesterday I had a game vs a low ranked guy with 4 LD5s (including Valantis and light monkey) in which I didn't take a turn until the att +30% mark but none of my things died and two of his units melted to wind monkey and revenge Rigel retaliations without me having to click anything. Long story short, speed is easier to benchmark than other stats, especially effective hp so a lot of people reach a desired speed tier and then think the unit is usable. It's not easy to rune the account properly and I'm 90% sure that a lot of people stuck in f3 or c1 and complaining could easily climb to c3 with the account they have just by shuffling the runes around or adapting their comp to the runes they have (i.e. not using units they can't rune up to their current standard; for example, I have a hey gang, which is a pemium unit, but I'm missing a fast enough acc slot 6 despair or will rune, so I'm only picking him when I know 100% he's getting banned). Hell, I dropped from high c3 to hanging on in c2 just because I was too busy over the summer to re-rune my stuff after the meta changed. For f3-c2 people, speed (on vio/despair) should be +120-130 on all units for a bruiser comp and +140-ish for a cc cleave comp (speed tune to a +190-ish swift Chiwu/Eshir/Moore). I would also advise against using the meta cc comps in those ranks because they require a lot of artifact damage to pull off, but nobody seems to realise it and my wind monkey is very happy about that.
that's not completely clear, but my assumption is taht Bagel is showing "hey, you don't need 300 speed on everything", just so that people look more into efficiency of the runes they pull and stop selling runes as soon as they don't roll into speed, if the rest of the stats make sense and roll well. But he could have been clearer of course !

This is pretty nice. sitting at G2 top 400 with similar runes but lesser monster. It's definitely doable to 2nd turn in guardian rank Edit: having a nice force banned LD5 does hard carry you to G3.

It's rock/paper/scissors. Accuracy beats resistance, no-resistance (for other stats) beats accuracy, resistance beats no-accuracy. I didn't even notice the resistance meta, I tend to favor accuracy on my runes.
if you are a turn two player, obviously you need freaking good resistance on your units. in the other hand, i would rid 90% of dose resistance runes... Maybe i have to rethink my RTA strategy 😢
He's missing runes on some mons cause RTA doesnt keep track of what runes you take off or put on in non-RTA. It does if you sell them, or, switch them around in RTA mode. He's probably still using those mons in Arena or Siege or Guild Battle or PVE.

Despair/whatever with spd/hp/hp. Just make sure she has some speed, is tanky, and has good accuracy. Try to aim for at least 55% accuracy. If you're having a hard time with accuracy just toss on a focus set. Also, a little pro tip is too have as little cr as possible on her for things like toa/h, and annoying monster passives.
Animations do make a difference in the game, but unless you're a whale it won't impact you too much. I opted to transmog mine because I don't have much time to farm so I wanna make sure to squeeze out every ounce of efficiency. But to be fair, it probably only saves a second or two on each run. P.s. There is a Verde transmog that also makes it faster
all this f3 comments are tilting just cuz bagel says it are obtainable runes... those runes are crazy efficient and very hard to get. not only farm alot but raid alot! this guy definitly isnt ld5 boosted

I liked the pointer for praha additional damage. Super underrated eternally, but for a while i was running here 300 spd 100% cr and 241 additional dmg to spd and she would easy 7k s1 on even wind sometimes. Additional damage is broken

These are great tips. Usually it would take a ton of losses to learn these tactics.
The reason people put damage reduced from water on non fire units is because you get a lot of value against mo long third skill

The runes aren't that hard to get, it's just... I have 10, he has 140+... in the right sets.

If I remember correctly Feng Yan doesn't use additional dmg for his vampire heals, only the atk scaling part of skill 1 will work.

Well it's about balance and effieciency, for every quadroll spd you put on you can get away with a duoroll spd and whatever stat you need instead.
vio will 100 res +150 spd around +30k hp. trust me swift 210 spd is easier to build here
