A decent video my friend, i found the mc50 demo interesting. I began using computers for sequencing in 1984 and vsti but now avoid them mostly. I like to adjust samples on the computer and do fast fourier transformation but i sm mainly a hardware guy . I use analog and digital equipment mostly. Your demo is refreshing, honest and well worth watching , as the content is both informational and interesting. As a horn player and singer i love the quantise feature of the roland mc 50 and cannot emphasize enough the pulse per quarter note rate, it is smoooth! By the way, you have a nice setup and project authoritively , yet do not act aloof or egotistically. Great job!
Glenn, you have become one of my most favorite youtuber/musician. It's not all about fancy studio or studio gear (though it's entertaining in between), Content matters alot. You are giving what we want to see and I really appreciate it. You are an inspiration. May God Bless you and give you 10 fold times subscribers.
That’s great and it had been on my mind , I’ve got a Jupiter Xm and a Arturia beat step pro and the screen on the Xm is so small just seemed like a good idea . You’ve really mastered these machines and the pace of your workflow always impresses me . Yeah , Nice bass . Thanks .
Hi, First of all congratulations for the quality of your tutorials. I want to connect an external sequencer ( Synthstom Audible DELUGE) to my JUNO X. Midi out from deluge to Midi in on juno x. Can you explain to me what settings to make on I juno X to arrive at this. Thanks in advance, Christian
Always very interesting to see what you do, and describe it as fun. That comes across in your general presentation as well, even if you didn't say it. Thanks!
Oh yes.. just like in the old Days When We sampled some Cool vocal grooves and plugged into the vocoder. 😃😃 I did not try it , but I guess it will work 😃
Hello :) And thanx for asking. The limitations of layers is in the synth itself. If it’s a multi timbral synth you can layer up the amount of tracks possible in the synth. The MC50 itself doesn’t do anything else than addressing midi information. So in short : the synth is the limit 😃😃😃
Thank you so much :) Its to bad that most people use drum loops as the “main drum” track. I fully understand it regarding pop/rock/acoustic songs that requires a fully drum set.. but for electronic music I wish more would take the time to program the drums. But then again.. this is all a matter of personal taste 😃 We are ale different , but I do appreciate your nice words about finger drumming 😃😃😃✌️✌️
Glenn very nice video but why didnt you use your MC-707 for this track ? And Dont Forget I want to learn from you how to program i-arp :) please make next video subject how to i-arp programming on Juno-X. Thank you. By the way your Camera Options are Amazing. Backrounds are fantastic.
Thank you so much for watching:) I was planning tot use my MC707, but I went for my “old school sequencer” in this video. I do have my MC707 with me as well (I’m on a gig for two weeks) so I will do a couple of more videos and then I will use the 707 in one of them :) I will also make an I-Arpegriator video too :) But right now I’m making a video about Juno-C and DAW integration 😃😃😃
Brilliant presentation - thanks - yes, the MC is great and im getting mine back out of the loft 🙂
Hey :) Thats a Good idea - I just love the MC-50 😃😃
beloved vangelis I missed
🫶
Yes! Great video! This combo is a great way to show that old & new still work great together. Thanks a lot
Thank you so much 😃😃😃
Om 🎶 grande saund 🎹🌟🎹
sounds great the juno x and my beloved roland MC50
Thank you :) Yea .. mine favourite sequencer as well:)
Still learning the MC50's quirks but there's nothing quite like a proper hardware sequencer.
I love the old school hardware MC50 :) I’ve been using it for a loooong time 😃😃
Love this :)
Thank you 🙏🏽
I think you love that Juno-X! It’s a fantastic sounding synth. And very good for scripting out ideas and sonic landscapes. Keep them coming.
Oh yes man ! Love the synth 😃😃😃
love it!
Thanx man :) I just love my MC50 too :) :)
recall those years back to mc50
Oh yes :) The MC 50 was my master sequencer for many years 😃
Thank you Glenn, just love your music, really appreciate the effort you put into the music, cheers from New Zealand.
Thank you so much :)

Thank you so much 😃 I am a hardware person myself, and jumped on the “digital” train.. and missed my MC50 😃😃

Thank you so much 😃😃 That was a really nice comment, and I take it to my heart. 😃😃
Wow..I remember a lot of my friends used this MC50 and MC80 15 years ago..
😃😃😃 It was a monster sequencer at that time 😃😃😃😃 I’ve had mine for all those years 😃😃😃
@@GlennMainMusic Yes..Even now the owner of the bar that I play here, he’s also a musician and he still using MC80 and still sound really good
The Juno X seems pretty awesome.
It really is 😃😃😃
Keep em coming
Will do 😃🌴
Nice tribute to Vangelis. Thank you Glenn.
My pleasure, thank you so much 😃

Vangelis forever 🥰.. thank you for the tribute, Glenn, just awesome 👍 Abraço 🇵🇹
❤️ Vangelis R.I.P ❤️ I will make a tribute EP to him for sure 😃
Very cool 😎 tribute Glenn! Would love to see you do a vid connecting up your MC 707 To the Juno X and extend out those tracks with 707 instruments….
That is coming up pretty soon :-)
Excellent...
Thanx 😃😃😃

You need to have the Juno X set to the coresponding midi channels. Then you just go into the mix… and whack the seeings are now 😃😃😃
Always very interesting to see what you do, and describe it as fun. That comes across in your general presentation as well, even if you didn't say it. Thanks!

I seriously have my eye on this synth. It sounds great.
It is really a great Synth 😃
@@GlennMainMusic It would go great with my JX3P and ESQ-1
Excellent choice the Juno-X. I tried it out at the local music store, and it's the best synthesizer than they have. The Juno-X sounds amazing!!!
I think it is worth every penny 😃😃😃😃😃
@@GlennMainMusic Yes. The only thing I can't find anywhere is if the Juno-X sliders transmit CC or SysEx, just like the Juno-106 sliders did.
Do you know if you can plug a mono 3/4” jack into the mic socket on the Juno X to use the vocoder with a sampler instead of a mic?
Oh yes.. just like in the old Days When We sampled some Cool vocal grooves and plugged into the vocoder. 😃😃 I did not try it , but I guess it will work 😃
Nice 😎, i’ll give it a go my Juno X has arrived 👍
@@SchnauzerTraxx - Please let me know if it´s working 🙂
@@GlennMainMusic yep it works a treat 👌
Is it true that u can layer multiple tracks out of one synth using the mc 50? or is that only because of the juno X?

@@GlennMainMusic thanks for the accurate answer
Very nice Vangelis tribute! Your finger drumming skills are amazing, I think finger drumming (at least on keyboards) will become a lost art soon.

jestem pod wrazeniem:-)pozdrawiam z Aten
Thank you so much ✌️😃✌️
Is it possible to paste files in PC and edit midi tracks in daw ?
You can record it into your saw as long as you can split midi channels after recording :) Most daws has that function 😃😃
Every time I like ur music. N i m the first comment. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you so much 😃😃😃
